You should turn up to max lvl for services and taxes so you’re paying them more to move in and see if you get huge influx of people or if you’re still able to stay maxed out on cash w a positive monthly cash flow
i did and it reached 100,000 population in hours with no car traffic. i even cut off the highway connections so that it is completely car free. Just make sure you connect a passenger train from another city into yours then the trains start pouring in people by the hundreds every minute.

Honestly, even without the tower itself that close, having the telescope that close to a *city* would interfere with the telescope's data collection. Radio telescopes are usually built far away from most settlements in order to prevent this interference (though honestly most big telescopes *in general* are built far away from cities as visible-light ones need to get away from light pollution, and other sorts of telescopes are generally in space because the atmosphere blocks enough of the other types of light that we can't study it effectively with a ground-based telescope). Sorry for the long and technical comment but I study physics and am currently taking an astronomy course where we *just* discussed telescopes, so I got a bit excited and wanted to share some knowledge.

This was absolutely nice series, but it is disheartening to see that the game is still in alpha. I was so hyped for it initially, but I will refrain myself from acquiring it until the true 1.0 release in the future.
Seing the city at night shows all the visions the devs probably had. They seemed to be really ambitious, just look at the airport. What a shame they were forced to release that crappy, kind of beta version game that just feels unfinished in every inch of the game.
Using the first person mod really shows how much effort and detail the devs put it, its really something that should be base game. Theres so much detail you would never see from above

I have my main city on the same map. Around 504k population. I didn't flatten any terrain but did reclaim land from the water.
