that's exactly what I have to do with my hair. I have almost black virgin hair down to my chin already and the rest of my tips have been already dyed with Hi Color Hilights. I left it like an ombre for about a year and a half now, but I really miss to be a full redhead. I have ordered the dye already! can't wait for the results!

L’Oreal hicolor is good as it doesn’t need to bleach hair to get the color you want, you just apply and it bleach and color without actually bleaching

Hiii! If I’m a natural brunette (I’m sort of medium brown I think?) and I use the HiColor Magenta on my hair will it look like yours does? Do i dye my hair starting with my ends then my roots or vice versa? My hair is brown but my roots are grown out a few inches to my natural hair color. Which is a light brown. But ive dyed my hair a lot of different colors and i have used the hi color magenta before years ago i just forgot how i did it. I dont want to have hot roots 😖
Ends to root. The roots will process faster since it's at your scalp which is hot making it faster processed and will be brighter than the ends.
I have a love and hate relationship with Loreal hicolor red, it ruined my hair :/ and it doesn't last that long on my hair.
I started using revlon bright auburn on my hair, and if I get tired of the orange I just retouch it with temporary red dye
It’s not meant to be used continuously. I use it only when I do my roots which is not often because I like a root and only with 20 vol. I use semipermanent colors for routine touch ups .

Hey thanks for sharing your awesome hair dye videos, very informative! Love this color! I recently did almost all over bleach bath with frosting kit. My hair was pretty dark before that I hadn't dyed over 5mons. Now I have orangey reddish blondish hair, and 2 sections in front (small) are super bright blond. Can I do magenta vol 20 with proteun filler to achieve this color? My hair was left a little dry in ends after bleach this was today. Thanks for your response! 💟
I would not do this right away especially after bleach
If you can get your hands on olaplex that would be a great alternative
If you really want to try this color I would do 20 vol with olaplex on the darker hair and 10 vol. with olaplex on the blonde . If you can’t get your hands on olaplex you can try it with the protein filler and And same volumes

I actually couldn't get the olaplex, but found item at Sally's that is supposedly similar. Ion Absoute Perfection Booster, you think is ok if I use this along with protein filler? I didn't bleach alot of my dark roots, but do want to go a little higher with the red. Should I do 30 vol for closer root area, i think most of it is virgin? And should I start mid shaft, then bottom, and roots and super blond parts and cor how long? I did coconut oil treament on my hair yesterday my ends are a little fried 😔 how long you think I should wait till I do red?? 💁 Thanks again for your response have a great day! 💟

I had box dyed jet black hair and I let it fade for 8 weeks and then I colored with the hilights in red and magenta and it lifted beautifully. Just make sure you do your roots/virgin hair last!
