There's a whole advisory on the North American GW store page about shipping delays due to the bad weather impacting much of the US (including the warehouse they ship from). So the US and Canada get their weather delays with a side of even more delays.
All the folks that were interested at my local GW store have lost interest because of the delays and the feeling that GW isn't going to support LI. So it's just us old 5 or 6 epic throwbacks that are even still interested.
@@LItbashing I'm 64 ... not sure I can wait yet another 15 years .... Still, LI has lifted so much from NetEpic that I can collect and play along those lines and nobody will be any the wiser, except that I'll have lotsa Orks and Tyranids.
it is also discouraging when you see that many LI kits are available on the UK store but when I click on the US store, almost everything is out of stock. I understand that LI is not part of the main company, but so much has been out of stock since launch.
If it helps - being in stock on the store doesn’t mean you’ll actually get them. I ordered a bunch of stuff when it went in stock and half of it was never fulfilled and then refunded with a sorry can’t do it email.
Same happened to me - the fact it took 10 days before the cancellation was quite frustrating. Only positive is it saved my bank balance from impulse purchases
Sigh Start of the month "The Great Slaughter will be available to pre-order later this month, so keep an eye out for more information here on Warhammer Community." and now This epic campaign book is designed very much as a companion piece to the first supplement to Legions Imperialis, The Great Slaughter,** which concentrates on the huge, sweeping battles of the campaign while this one focuses on more character-driven narrative encounters. ** The Great Slaughter will also be out a little later this year.
I think LI WAS supposed to be in the preview, but it was removed. Look at the bottom of the article; it says "* These products are delayed in Japan and Australia. ** These products are delayed in Japan." BUT there are no products with these asterisks- so it was either referring to deleted items, or mistaken copy paste from an old article (I've never seen that mistake happen though). The original LI release was delayed in Australia, and Japan almost always gets printed materials delayed due to often getting both English and Japanese language releases, so I'm sure The Great Slaughter was just going to be delayed in Australia and Japan, but then it was delayed worldwide for whatever reason (eg bad weather as mentioned in another comment). Oh well, more time to work on my backlog I suppose...
@@LItbashing haha I live in Japan so I'm used to checking for delays, usually it's just anything with a book that is delayed 1-4 weeks or so. Thankfully we got LI on time, unlike Australia. I'm currently waiting for Dark Angels box preorder announcement...
Shame they weren’t more Careful with release dates after the delay in the initial release. Still hyped up for it, plenty to be getting on with for another week at least
I think they have been very poor with the PR on Legions Imperialis. However, they should not even be mentioning releasing a supplement until they have released models for the core game. They havent even released box sets for the tanks in the core box; you only get half-sized units in the box!
I’m more tilted about the lack of new models for the units from the core book, let alone stock of already released stuff. You can’t make a bastion detachment for Astartes.
This issue is due to Games Workshop's market policies of the lasts years. It is impossible to maintain a good production capacity when every single week the announce new products that are put to sale. The stock issues have happened in every mayor release, is not something specific to LI, is a general problem of the company that is throwing the buyers out of the market. And is a shame that it seems that they don't wanna fix it.
Probably a good thing gw are talking about building a new factory, i hope this is a sign of good expansion and not gw overreach! Excited for lore videos!
They've needed to for years. They have been too concerned for the short term high profits this last decade instead of investing properly. They've closed shops, stripped staff budgets and tried going for the heavy online side, failing with the 'streamlined' webpage. They've not been able to produce enough minis for years.
well eh, im still painting up my starter army haha it'll get here when it gets here. We all know that GW has massively over estimated its production capacity in the last year, and this isn't the kind of problem you can just fix overnight.
Its annoying that theres so many restock problems, less releases, lack of info as well as hype - which TOW is taking over for many people. Releasing 2 big games in short a time span is not good at all
I don’t think they were supposed to be that close. Just various stock issues forced their hand - basically everything since Leviathan has been very flying by the seat of their pants.
It's just like HH2.0 first wave comes out, lots of hype and pushing of the game. Then the release rate drops off, with interest for the game also dropping off.... But people do need to give feedback even if it's negative feedback, that's life and if people can't take it, more fool them. Oh bought into the Old World lol it's all out of stock where I've looked....
Jesus, you guys have the attention span of a gnat. The game's only been out two minutes. If we're here this time next year, then fine, by all means chuck your dummy out and with good reason. Until then, give it a bloody chance.
I’ve dedicated an entire TH-cam channel to it… I think that’s giving it a hell of a chance :P And the fact it’s only been out two minutes is part of the disappointment - it’s already been delayed twice - so another one is disappointing. Not dummy-chucking level - but still, a shame.
5 months ago was the release date, hyped by GW since a year ago. Many people only just received their pre orders 😅 yea. GW have seriously messed this one up.

I don’t envy you guys in regards to LI, that’s for sure.

That’s what I worry about… that the delays just kill the game and then we wait another fifteen years for more Epic…

Delay due to old world demand I reckon. Made to order is clearly a space filler so they don't have to make more new models.
I am still having fun with the models. I am waiting on some more infantry for some Litbashing ideas I have!

Yeah I’m really eager for the bastion models. That rapier/sentry kit looks so fun.
