Seriously needed this! It’s a great reminder that sometimes life gets very stressful and we need to give ourselves some grace. I actually got laid off this month and I’ve been frustrated with how lazy I’ve felt…but we’re human and taking a break is okay! Hang in there and everything will be okay 😊
I’m so excited hearing about your trip to London!!! You are definitely going to love the vibe and the bookstores and cafes here! Also I was praying you upload a reset video today coz I wanted to film my first ever monthly reset video tomorrow and this gave me the perfect inspiration I needed 🤍
I grew up around an hour out of London, live a bit further out now but im still in the city at least once a month and it never loses its appeal, so excited for you to see it for the first time! 😍
We have not bought a Home officially yet, very much the conditional, and as I mentioned, this video is a chance it won't work out! I hope it does but we are definitely not locked into a new house yet!
This is the sweetest comment ever 🥹 honestly it really depends what genre are you like in so many factors but I do post all of my book reviews on my Instagram so I'm sure there's something that you can find out that you'd like!! ♥️
London is amazing! We visited there in 2018 and the WB Harry Potter Studio was my favourite part of the trip!! You walk through all of the sets - it's magical. 10/10!!
Salem is one of my bucket list trips! I’ve not been yet but have it completely planned out. (We were supposed to go October 2020). The Lizzie Borden house is in that area, they turned it into a bed and breakfast/museum.
Hi Carter, I recall in one of your videos you talking about a employee tracker for raises etc at your job. Do you have a link for one that you would recommend?
London recommendations: stay in Covent Garden! There is a Firmdale hotel there that is truly magical! If you can't stay at the hotel go to their high tea - it was better than the high tea at Kensington Palace!! Neal's Yard is also so picturesque and right across the street, you must go!!
I feel this! My fiance and I are trying to buy a house right now. We have had 3 offers rejected, and all I can focus energy on is looking at houses. I too had to remind myself I have a roof over my head. I wish you the best on selling your house!
Hi! Do you have an updated link for the notion template? I think the correct one is expired/incorrect. I appreciate it so much and your videos help me get inspired and motivated each month to get back on track!
Hi, my notion template is one from an Etsy shop! And I believe they have taken it down sadly 🥲 which is a bummer because I obviously can't just share a template that I did buy it online but hopefully they bring it back soon!
London is amazing 😍❤️ I'm so happy you guys are going. I suggest having at least 3 full days in London, then 1 full day for Harry Potter world. That, plus 2 days traveling to and back. That should be ok. In London, I recommend visiting Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, walk around the South bank, go on the Millenium bridge (it was in a HP movie, too)-- all these can be done in the same day. Also, Piccadilly Circus, Oxford street, British Museum, Science Museum, etc. Oh, definitely add to your list afternoon tea (it can booked in advance, and if you want one of the best, i recommend the Fortnum & Mason). Lastly, but most importantly, trust me when I say you need to go into a Waterstone book store 😍 the one close to Piccadilly Circus has 5(!) floors. You HAVE to go there!
Yey, happy to help! Can't wait to see your London vlogs! I was a Master student there for a year, so I know the town and I love it, can't wait to go back!
My partner and I went to London last year. We stayed in Trafalgar Square (right across from a Waterstones actually) and loved it. It was centrally located enough but still affordable. Also, definitely check out Word on the Water. It’s a bookstore on a little canal barge and is the most quirky, adorable little bookstore with lots of great picks.
Ahh! If you come to Boston/Salem next year you will be so close to me! 😄 I definitely suggest a Boston/Salem trip in the fall because our fall colors are gorgeous! 😍 I have never done a Salem trip in the fall but I so want to because I just find the witchy stuff interesting. 😅 My sister went once and she said September or November is the best due to the volume of people in October. If you’re in Boston I do highly suggest the Boston Aquarium. It’s so much fun seeing the sea life. ☺️
For London, I really recommend going to high tea in a nice hotel. I did The Athenaeum hotel, by Hyde park, and It was great, and relatively affordable compared to other places
Pleasee post a day in my life work from home edition. I work from home aswell and you give the best inspo and advice on routines, goals and so much more. Love your videos!
I do have a ton of older videos when I talked a lot more about work and working from home!!! I can definitely do my best to include some more work videos🥰
Definitely recommend Books Unbound podcast if you’re looking for a Canadian book girlies podcast! It’s my favourite and I listen every Monday morning on my commute to work 🥰
As someone who LOVES the world of middle earth, I actually prefer The Hobbit Trilogy. I LOVE LotR, but I felt like The Hobbit was able to better develop the characters and story more because they weren’t focusing on so many different things. Like I love it so much I got Kili’s “return to me” stone tattooed on my wrist. Both the movies and the books are great! Love your channel!❤❤❤
Hey Carter, enjoyed this video. Can’t wait to listen to the recommended podcast. Just curious - I see you contribute $250 to your RRSP. - Do you have one personal and one through your employer?
For Boston/Salem, Salem is INSANE on weekends in October, I'd suggest planning to go on like a Tuesday, and go on a local witch tour, a lot of non-local companies try to profit from spooky season. In Boston, visit parks in the Emerald Necklace or Arnold Arboretum. I love the Fenway area even though I don't even like baseball lol. Seaport is okay and has good food spots but very trendy not classic Boston.
Went through the home selling process last summer while waiting on a home being built. For months we were in a constant cycle of the house being in a show mode while we waited for it to be sold and then waiting on delays for the build of a new home. Super stressed during that time and three of us worked from home at the same time. 😅 Our home sold when we least expected it and hope it’s the same for you. Went to London/Paris with EF Ultimate last year in September by myself and was there for 3 days. Harry Potter World was a full day thing when you include travel and I would book the tickets in advance to get a good entrance time. The thing I didn’t expect was touristy things close at 5 so you have to get an early start but had a fun time just walking around and exploring, the tube made it easy to get around, even for someone who doesn’t live in a large metro area.
i studied abroad in spain last year and took a weekend trip to London- I stayed in the Hotel Oliver, and it was hilariously tiny and far away from central london, and the staff were so odd. 🤣it was like a baby Stanley hotel. i loved it so much LOL. i 1000% recommend seeing Buckingham Palace, it's obvi a heavy tourist location but I've very rarely been so in awe of a building, it was so beautiful!!! :-) i also went on a jack the ripper tour and i'm so serious, it was my favorite part. just seeing how old all the streets were and the buildings and real historic stories with locations that are hundreds of years old. it's so cool!! so excited for you!! (sorry for the long comment i loved london so much lol)
@@CarterSullivan I really struggle on both ends. My tip is push thru as long as you can once you arrive and then sleep at night (you’ll be delirious lol) but by day 3 you should be better. And then on the home end, swimming! Get into a pool asap, just seems to right the system quicker.
I haven't checked out Hailey yet, but it sounds like the kind of content Peruse Project puts out. I highly recommend her reading vlogs! Chill, cozy vibes.
Yes I still work with and love Neo!! I have mentioned this in past videos but we are just porting over our current mortgage! It makes the most sense since we currently have a VERY low interest rate (compared to the current 5%+ rates in Canada). So taking out a new mortgage or blending mortgages doesn't make sense for us right now. However once we are up for renewal we will shop around and consider Neo of course!
I hope you love Barbenheiner! I thought Barbie was beautiful. I laughed so hard and also got teary eyed from the messaging. So so sooo good. Also I found your page a while back from Zoe Pritchard. She put me on. I think you would like her, she’s a Canada girly.
Hi! Small tip for Boston/salem, if you can, plan for Sept or even November. October (the closer to Halloween) is almost not enjoyable. ALOTTT of people fly/drive down here so getting the best AIRBNB deals, actually entering the stores, taking pictures feels impossible. Like time square/disney on peak seasons.
Carter you should read Cult Classic by Sloane Crosley. It isn't really fantasy but it is magical realism I guess. Its funny and keeps you on your toes.
I agree with other people here, I know it’s hard to be far from home for a longer time, but I would go away for 6-7 days. You will lose a day with jet lag.

I truly can't wait 🤭🥹
I went to Salem in October a couple years ago and highly recommed , already excited for the vlog !
Congratulations on the new house. Happy belated birthday to you both. Hubby and I are July 5 and 6 and it’s always so fun to celebrate together.
We have not bought a Home officially yet, very much the conditional, and as I mentioned, this video is a chance it won't work out! I hope it does but we are definitely not locked into a new house yet!
you’re literally my safety blanket you inspire me so much🥲 giving big sister vibes ❤
also not sure if you see this but if you could recommend one book to a beginner what would it be?

Yes thats on my list!!!!!

I've just been fiddling around with my own spreadsheet to track it!!
@@CarterSullivan oh ok. Thank you
Thanks for the love!!! 💜💜💜
FANGIRLING SO HARD RN
I lived in London for a while and I was in Kentish Town. Close to Camden which has great night life and the neighborhood was really quaint and quiet
Quaint and quiet is defs for us! We are not night life people 😂
we are besties, so excited to watch this Carter! looking forward to some PTO in august, along with my birthday 🎉
Morning Carter happy Saturday morning and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
Great idea for august reset budgetting and planning like it
Congrats on the new house! Hopefully everything works out with it 💕
We are very much still conditional on it, not ours yet!

I'm honestly LOVING the Hobbit!! It feels very cozy and cottag-y aka my vibe😂
where is your laptop wood stand from?
IKEA!
Hey Carter, enjoyed this video. Can’t wait to listen to the recommended podcast. Just curious - I see you contribute $250 to your RRSP. - Do you have one personal and one through your employer?
Yep! I also contribute to my retirement through my employer (aka why I'm not letting go of my corporate job anytime soon)

Savannah would be better in fall, this Georgia heat is no joke! Also, Savannah is extremely haunted, you two should take a ghost tour when you visit ❤
