@@CarterSullivan girl I would be out there on trash collection day standing at the curb waving a little flag, since they’re having trouble seeing the trash can.
My last house the mailman wouldn’t deliver the mail if there was ANYTHING “blocking” the mailbox, but he would find ways to leave notes about why he couldn’t deliver the mail … notes he left in the mailbox. So I feel your pain.

we had our dads at the inspection of our home, which was helpful but the day we closed, it was just me and my husband. we picked up deli sandwiches after we got the keys and went to the house just two two of us and it was so emotional! we started ripping off wallpaper and just reveled the beginnings of our new and first forever home! best of luck, Carter!! can’t wait for you!
That's all I want! We didn't get that with our first house (aka this house) and I felt so sad about the fact that we never really got to cherish being first time homebuyers alone so we're making sure to do it this time around!!!

Yep when I was In school I was the person who needed to get school assignments done a week or close to a week before due date. Except for exams or other things that had to be done on a specific date/time

Honestly I buy the cheapest curling wand I can find at Marshalls. It's a thicker barrel which I think makes a difference- I'd say it's about 2". The brand has worn off over the years 😂

Don’t be turned off of all Jodi Picoult! Not all her books are like that one! You NEED to read ‘Nineteen Minutes,’ ‘The Pact,’ ‘my sister’s keeper’ to start! Those ones were amazing and well put together. The Pact I think was the first one I read and ‘nineteen minutes’ is a must as well.
Honestly, while I think she's probably a great author, I'm just not really into the whole popular fiction/family drama/moral dilemma type books so i think I'm gonna pass for now but who knows maybe I'll try another one someday!
@@CarterSullivan Understandable. It’s all based on what mood the reader is in. Those books are very dramatic but in a good way/good storytelling. And really pulls at your heartstrings.
Do you use cream and sugar in your tea? I’m trying to force myself to drink tea instead of matcha, black tea & coffee. I seem to just not like tea.
No I drink my tea black, I only like a few flavours like apple cinnamon and peppermint! I love to drink it in the afternoons when it's chilly it out but it could never replace my coffee lol!

Yes I have! As a cinny bun connaisseur they are 2 different rolls. Cob's is heavy on the cream cheese frosting, Sobey's is more of a heavy on the glaze- both are equally good but depends on what you're going for!
Hahaha I love that you said Jodi Picoult reminded you of Coho because I read a JP book last year and literally thought “Wow, Jodi Picoult really walked so Coho could run” 😂 and that was a book from the earlier 2000s! Sad she hasn’t learned anything. I have read a few by her I enjoyed, but none enough to take the risk again.

I have a Ruggable runner in my kitchen and I love it! However it has a pale trim (the rest is green) and it gets dirty SO fast! So not sure I would recommend a white rug in the kitchen 😅 just fyi! :)

Don't make it anything crazy especially if you're burnt out! Carve out 15-20min on the weekend to go over things! It only ever takes me 30min (just seems alot longer since I also have to film it)

I'm sorry if I missed it, but did you stop sharing youtube ad sense & brand deal $$ within your monthly budgets? I LOVED how transparent you were about it, one of the main reasons I enjoyed watching the monthly budget videos!
Hi Isabelle! I've mentioned it a few times in previous videos but at the beginning of this year I incorporated my business meaning, my personal and business finances are separated now. Before when I was sharing those numbers, everything was coming through the personal side! So it doesn't always make sense to share my business income from said months because it stays in the business account and I don't touch the majority of it, it stays in my business account. It doesn't affect my personal budgetting! Honestly, it can take weeks to get paid from brand deals so some months I make no money and other months the business may make 5 figures! But all that money season to my business account to pay for bills, expenses, writeoffs, business travel etc!
Now because I'm set up on a bit of a different pay system I don't pay myself those full amounts like I used to! It's not that I'm trying to hide my TH-cam income by any means it's just that I don't budget it on the personal side anymore!
So you'll see in some previous budget videos that I take a paycheque from the business and some months I don't need to! I will always aim to be super transparent with how much I make on social media however, I also cannot share my exact brand deal income anymore due to legal documents and contracts!
So basically, as my business grew, and I had to take it a bit more seriously from a tax and legal perspective, I just meant that things flow through my business accounts and not my personal accounts anymore!

We never see your horse! What’s the story there?
It's a part of my life I just choose to keep private! I actually started my channel with documenting my riding journey and after awhile I lost my passion for riding because of always vlogging it. My horse is on a full off-property lease at my coaches barn (meaning they take care of him and he is used in lessons). I had to stop riding about 2 years ago for health reasons (slipped discs in my back that never properly healed) and I hope to get back to it one day but for now he is very loved and cared for! It's the best scenario since I can't be going out to the barn everyday like I used to when I was in college/working part-time. So when I do go it's just something I choose to keep offline! xo
Are you only budgeting your portion of groceries and your fiancée has his own budget/pays separately? I’d love to cut my monthly grocery budget but man oh man it’s always so high 😭 we’re a family of 3 (we have a 2 year old) and we’re averaging about $1100 a month 😭
So yes I only budget my portion of groceries (we take turns buying) but for the both of us, we roughly spend $300-$350 a month.As I mentioned in the video we do meal delivery kits! In the long run it's saved us SO much money on groceries. So all in all with actual groceries and meal kit delivery we probably spend about $500-$600 CAD/month on all food. We don't eat out a ton either.
We do 3-4 meals/week with Hello Fresh so we only have to buy groceries for breakfast/lunch/snacks. For the other days that we don't have meal kits, we just use what we have (ex. meat from the freezer, pasta, frozen pizza etc). We price-match our groceries and do a lot of clearance groceries that are about to go bad and freeze them to use when we need them!
@@CarterSullivan thank you for the reply. That’s still an insanely impressive budget for groceries! Good job guys. Unfortunately, I live in a small community in northwestern Ontario and we only have 1 grocery store, so we can’t save money by price matching. I think meal planning might be a way for us to save money on our groceries.
What you say comes to reality, it’s a form of manifestation. Example. Emergency fund. You had to use it because you had an emergency 😝 you literally manifested the emergency. Call it something different. Cheers.
I actually say in the video that I call it my rainy day savings and not an emergency fund anymore! But also in my 4 years having an emergency fund I've never had an emergency happen so not sure how much I believe that everything you speaks becomes a reality! I do believe to some extent in manifestation though💫
