I'll say this. I was born in the 80s, watched Spider-Man religiously each morning when I was a kid. This game has struck me so hard! In the best positive way possible. This is the best Spider-Man game ever made. Insomniac made a beast of a game, and I hope that it's the beginning of a trilogy!!
Alex Drolet Hell yeah and than lead it into a Thor Game or an Ant Man game (since Avengers and Wasp are name dropped), those 2 hero’s could carry a game since their movies are peaking right now and Thor and fight in different realms and worlds, and Antman can shrink and grow that can make for great unique gaming moments. Than just drop an Avengers game with Spider-Man, Tony, Thor, Ant-man and playable characters with side characters like Hulk, Wasp, Black Widow, and Nick Fury. Tease Thanos or some super villain team sort of like the legion of Doom
I just hope we get multiple versions of the black suit, likewe could switch between the insomniac version of it, the raimi version and the classic comic version, and even the 2nd version of it from the red goblin story arc

I don’t necessarily think so. This game or the MCU would’ve been redundant. I like variation, MCU isn’t definitive Spider-Man to me, and that’s a good thing. If every spider man is “the” Spider-Man then things get boring. Tom’s version is unique yet equally valid to me. I prefer PS4, but that doesn’t mean the MCU should also be that.

As I watched the credits after beating the game, I just knew they had to have not one, but two end credits scenes. Such a marvel thing to do to include it in the video game. I’m looking forward to the eventual sequel and what they do with Harry and Miles.

I think many of us have seen this story so many times it was so easily predictable for Spiderman Fans. We wanted something new like Mr.Negative in the first game. It's really hard to write Venom as a 3Dimensional Villain when he is inheritely so simple minded, "Dominate World" "Turn the world into symbiotes" Gosh, im sorry but thats so overlydone. I wanted more of Kraven, I wanted more of Harry Agent Venom. And I wanted more Norman Osborn . You are right, some fans will be in the sweet spot. And I'm happy you enjoyed the game.
Some desires for future spiderman game /dlc: Missions with spiderman in the sewers and undergroung tunnels. A mission(or more) where peter gets attacked as peter and the level is peter as peter crawling on walls and sneaking around. Sneaking levels where you sneak on the ceiling and walls more than zipping everywhere. MORE SUITS To be clear I LOVED the game and platinumed it. Just some things i'd love to see in some crazy unrealistic future.
Using the "X" button in combat (the bounce-off move) is seriously underrated. You can yank an enemy upward, do a swing kick, or boot someone off of a rooftop. It's so much fun.
Joe Diets I discussed this with my brother and brought up the same thing that Bryan said here. I would not want that suit in the game if all it got was one power. It should feel like a new game when you wear it.

Ace Spitfire Brock and peter were friends in both the Spectacular Spider-Man tv show and in the Ultimate Comics universe. Also Doc Oc and Harry are/have been friends then enemies of Pete. I think both are likely but I hope it’s Eddie. Also I think it’s interesting that Intihar mentions him making sure that a certain name was on that card then quickly drops it.

While he may not physically appear in the game for most of it, Pete knows Harry is dying from the same condition his mom did and we know these two are friends and have history. We see Norman at the end with Harry in a tube, with what is obviously a symbiote. Most likely as a last chance effort to stop the disease. They set the sequel up perfectly to have Venom take center stage, and how shocking it will be for Pete when he realizes it's Harry.
Man, Bryan Intihar is amazing guy. Loved this episode & much thanks to you and the rest of the team for creating one of the best Spider-Man stories told. You’re a inspiration man.
Not only that but it was they're first try in creating a big Spider-Man GAME. Like arkham asylum it is not perfect, but it was the foundation to what would soon come in the future.....for rocksteady's first try, that is something amazing. And so they will not only take the foundation that they started on but improve FURTHER, doing big and ambitious things with it.....aswell as hearing the people's feedbacks and criticisms. Insomniac will do the same thing and Spider-Man 2 has the biggest potential to be a masterpiece put together🙌
I love that Bryan is wearing a similar shirt to the Empire State University shirt that Spider-Man wears when you complete that Secret Photos Collection in the game.
1 gripe i have is that i wish i could look through the landmark and secret photos I took. it would be so fun to look through the blurry photos that i took mid-swing while peter claimed it was a perfect shot.

It took me about 40 hrs to Platinum the game. Still swinging through to get there secret photos for the esu suit and awaiting the undies. I switch between white Spidey, Stark, dark suit and Iron Spidey suit. The anti-ock suit is a beast too! 🔥 Plays beautifully on the Spidey Pro!
Just finished the story. What an amazing ending and just a spectacular game overall. It really is the ultimate super hero experience and I'd say it's even slightly superior to the Arkham games (they are great though too). I love this director. You can tell he's very genuine and passionate. He's very self aware and seems like he's a gamer just like anyone. Marvel and Sony definitely put Spider-Man in the right hands.
Such a great interview. I platinumed it today and it is the best Spider-Man story I have seen or played. That last scene has me in tears. Amazing job Brian and the rest of the insomniac team. I also love that Brian just talks about the amazingness of Feige for 5 minutes
IGN is a joke anyways. They gave Fortnite: Battle Royale 9.6/10 and Uncharted 4 9/10. Like good stories and characters don't matter at all. If it was for me I'd not even review this game, bc it really isn't one, it's just a mode... Me personally (of course I'm not a critic) I'd give Spider-Man at least a 9.5/10 bc of the amount of fun I had with this game combined with the good story.
from the first second of the games opening you could tell love went into it. and from watching this you can tell its an immense amount of love he says they didn't put in the venom suit because it deserves its spot in the light, truly shows he cares for this character/world/story thank so much Bryan and insom

I cried like a baby at the ending. No shame. This game is amazing. Great writing and voice acting as well. One of the best pieces of Spiderman media period, not just video games.
For the swinging vs axe debate, I feel like the big decider in favor of the axe is how amazing it feels to have it come back to you. Spider-Man is the most polished, fluid and fun swinging in any Spidey game, but there's just something about retrieving the axe that feels so fucking good. The whirl sound it makes as it cuts through the air, until it lands in your hand with a forceful thud. It just makes you feel so powerful. And that's crazy considering we're also talking about literally swinging through NY with your hands.
Y'all should totally do the Superior Spider-Man if more games ever happens. That storyline is legendary, but also modern and underused in adaptations, and I would love to see your take on it. Honestly I think that if this becomes a big franchise, you're one of the only ones that can do it. Superior Spider-Man is definitely a third or fourth game kinda plotline.
Props to Tim for voicing his MJ problems (at least somewhat) with a dev there. Thats always my biggest problem with podcasts about games with a developer on the bored is everyones gun-shy to actually speak their mind.
Tim is spot on with the MJ criticism. She's the only poorly written character in the game. They were so concerned about making her some fierce independent woman that they forgot to make her a believable human. All she ever does or talk about is plot related stuff and she doesn't seem to have an existence outside of the plot and her relationship with spiderman. She devolves into a sidekick with a chip on her shoulder about being the partner and equal of a dude with superhuman powers. Woulda been cool to maybe explore how she got this crazy inferiority complex that verges on a death wish in the first place. Delve into that psychology a bit, but there's none of that. Just Tom Clancy super reporter.
I felt a similar way. The player gets to hear a little bit about MJ's past (the bad family life with her father compared to Harry and Norman's relationship, and from time to time she shows how she misses the innocence of childhood), but we didn't get much more about her present life than "I'm a reporter and I really want to do this side/main mission."
On top of all of what you said (HUGE SPOILER AHEAD) she is a toxic person to be with in a relationship and I just can't get why Peter wanted to go back to being with her in the end. Her saying ''I never stopped caring'' or whatever was the biggest fuck you to Peter, literally ''hey I did fine without you for half a year but now that all of your shit is dealt with I will gladly be with you again'' like what the fuck man, you walk into a mercenary base and shit on Peter for caring about your safety.. They really missed the mark with MJ, imo the worst thing about the game.
I used Classic Spidey (prestine condition of course,) then the Stark Suit, and transitioned from that to 2099 suit.....OMFG THANK YOU FOR ADDING THE 2099 suit 😭💕
Game is so freaking good. I kept finding myself going back to triangle to dodge at times tho, crazy how ingrained Arkham is on me. And tbf a lot of the games similar in mechanics that have come after it use triangle in a similar way as well, so became a little frustrated at times. 😂 The Saber battles can get a bit much when there's a ton of em shooting as the red lines just blur everything as well. I'm assuming that was a conscious choice. What a game though, the boss battles are amazing, incredible emotional impact throughout as well. Seriously cannot wait until the sequel. Going to have to though, for my own sake. Will be waiting ever patiently for it.
I really enjoyed the relationship Peter and Otto had while it lasted. It reminded me of Rami's Spider-Man 2 with the scene of Otto and Peter and there was that spark of master and protege going on. Having that in the game was a perfect fit.
One of my favorite things about their portrayal of J Jonah Jameson is how they didn't just make him the simple "he hates Spider-Man" gag- obviously he still does, and it's hilarious, but they also show that there's more to him than that. The conspiracy theories, how his opinions on Osborn change as new information comes to light- The speech he gives when the city is in turmoil- "Be the heroes i know you can be"- i mean holy shit dude. Incredible. Darin De Paul is the fuckin man
Stan lee would always say that spiderman is so loved because he is so relatable. The fact that Bryan Intihar took this to heart is the main reason why this game is so great. Insomniac is a great games studio because ted price cares about what the studio wants to make, and what the studio has a passion for.
The Secret Wars suit is heavily underrated! I slept on it all the way through the story, but post story when I was doing collectibles I took a look at it and loved it. It really grew on me and now it’s my main suit for DLC.
While it might not be perfect, Spider-Man (PS4) really captures Spider-Man and Peter Parker and where the two lives collide. MJ's and Peter's relationship being very uncertain, Ben mentioned but not exposition dumped, Miles and Peter sharing moments, it's just such a great interpretation of the character and Yuri Lowenthal *nails* the charismatic, constantly joking Spider-Man, the awkward but lovable and caring Peter and the emotional and heartbroken Peter so well. He's such a great fit for the character. *Spider-Cop is on the case!*

Spiderman was the very first comic I ever read as a kid.. over the years my interest just wasn't there. This game made me fall in love with spidey all over again. What a great episode. Especially the answer Brian gives to Greg about his "shirt" gave me fucking goosebumps
This game's story is so underrated. All the beats hit me. The third chapter is so good. What I like the most is the motivations of the three main "villains" especially Norman. I can totally see how a man as brilliant as him would be obsessed with saving his son after his wife's passing. It hits hard and makes you feel for him.
That's what I really liked about Norman's character in this. Throughout most of the game you think that Norman's just a selfish asshole that's only looking out for himself, but when you find out that he's doing it all to desperately save what's left of his family, it does kind of put things in to perspective.
If this is going to be the gaming equivalent of the MCU (MGU?), it’s cool that we’re jumping into established universe, instead of a slow start from the beginning. Best way they could have done it.
These spoilercasts r the best thing since u started kinda funny. LOVE it, one criticism and only one! The moment the spoilers open up and greg asks about harry and the symbiote link, insted of havin that freakout (like the end GoW loki reveal) Tim changes the direction of conversation to a "normal" interview. Next time just let the boys freak and react to these big moments as that is exactly what I'd say and havin smeone divert conservation so quickly was dissapointing. Keep up the good work boys
Picked up the Amazing Red PS4 just to play Spider-Man. I think it has topped Spider-Man 2 as my favorite Spider-Man game. The character arcs and storytelling were fantastic and I loved what they did with the characters in this continuity. Fun fact, I read that the PS4 Spider-Man is in the followup crossover event to Spider-verse. The sequel is called Spider-Geddon. It was such a surprise to see that Aunt May and Otto knew that he was Spider-Man. More surprising was the fact they actually had the guts to kill Aunt May. It felt earned and was what they should have done in One More Day. I understand Peter loves his aunt. But to make a deal with Mephisto to save his aunt by nullifying his marriage to MJ was stupid. So glad Insomniac took the chance they did with May, and I am curious to see where this continuity leads. Will we see characters like Spider-Gwen? May Day Parker? Spider-Woman, Silk, etc. if not in the 2nd maybe the third? I also thought it was interesting what they did with Silver Sable. I'd love to see other baddies like Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio, Sand Man, The Lizard, or wait for it....Morlun or Morbius in a sequel. If your reading these comments Insomniac, Brian Intihar...would it be possible to add a theatre mode so we can watch all the cutscenes in sequence like Metal Gear's theatre mode? XD They are just that good! I can't wait to check out the DLC. Hoping to see an open world Superman game from Rocksteady or somebody.

This Spider-Man destroys every other iteration of Spider-Man out there. Yuri is so good. He killed it. I didn’t even realize it was him for a good part of the game. He is Peter. His work destroys Tom/Andrew/tobey easily. Also back when Arkham asylum came out me and my buddies said they need to make a Spider-Man game with this style. And bam we pretty much got it and it’s amazing. Spider cop was so great. That ending with him was perfect. God this game was so good. Can’t wait for the sequel. Couple gripes was Mary Janes look just seemed weird to me. Think it’s her nose. Also the anti ock suit was pointless. Cool looking but damn the suit itself was useless. It didn’t make anything ock has not work or be effective. Since it’s called anti ock I thought it would do something to ock that would make his arms or the chip act up. But nope it just got destroyed. Should have called it Otto armor lol.
Chill out bro. Just because it’s really good and it’s your personal (and my personal) favorite, doesn’t mean it “destroys” the other iterations. Nothing will ever replace Tobey, and Tom is doing a stellar job. The 90’s cartoon will always be a pillar of Spider-Man, the Spider-verse movie is a game changing instant classic, my dusty old Ultimate Spider-Man volume is holy scripture. This game doesn’t destroy a damn thing, it builds on what came before and makes it better.

Please don't let Miles be a main character in next game. I'd still want to have Peter as main. Miles can have his own time like he had in this game, you can give him MJ's part too. But don't let it be longer than one or two hours. Peter IS the Spider-man. I would be immensely disappointed if Insomniac would go for a 50/50 playroute with Peter and Miles.
There are literally dozens of great villains waiting there to be added in sequels. Goblins, Sandman, Mysterio, Lizard, Kraven, Symbiotes, Morbius and the list just goes on. Spider-man was fine for 50 years before Miles was created. I'm sure it'll be just fine without him.
Gotenokaru Yeah I just finished the game today and whilst I love the Miles character I really hope he doesn’t take centre stage in the sequel. I’m fine with him being playable and being a big part of the story but I still want the next game to be mainly focused on Peter/Spider-Man. I would especially hate if they killed Peter off early on then the rest of the game you play as Miles.
That was my concern too, just like with GoW being replaced by Atreus, but i dont think they will replace iconic characters. I believe Miles is in the future Games a playable side character. Like Spideys sidekick.

Spider-Man Web of Shadows. I think many of us have seen this story so many times it was so easily predictable for Spiderman Fans. We wanted something new like Mr.Negative in the first game. It's really hard to write Venom as a 3Dimensional Villain when he is inheritely so simple minded, "Dominate World" "Turn the world into symbiotes" Gosh, im sorry but thats so overlydone.
I wanted more of Kraven, I wanted more of Harry Agent Venom. And I wanted more Norman Osborn .
You are right, some fans will be in the sweet spot. And I'm happy you enjoyed the game.
Some desires for future spiderman game /dlc:
Missions with spiderman in the sewers and undergroung tunnels.
A mission(or more) where peter gets attacked as peter and the level is peter as peter crawling on walls and sneaking around.
Sneaking levels where you sneak on the ceiling and walls more than zipping everywhere.

The swinging is the best it’s ever been. But there are a few features missing. Needs a bit more freedom and skill ceiling.
Using the "X" button in combat (the bounce-off move) is seriously underrated. You can yank an enemy upward, do a swing kick, or boot someone off of a rooftop. It's so much fun.
I love that Greg wore the black suit shirt with Bryan there looking at it knowing we all wanted that damn suit and didn't get it.
Joe Diets I discussed this with my brother and brought up the same thing that Bryan said here. I would not want that suit in the game if all it got was one power. It should feel like a new game when you wear it.

Ace Spitfire Brock and peter were friends in both the Spectacular Spider-Man tv show and in the Ultimate Comics universe. Also Doc Oc and Harry are/have been friends then enemies of Pete. I think both are likely but I hope it’s Eddie. Also I think it’s interesting that Intihar mentions him making sure that a certain name was on that card then quickly drops it.

It's gonna be Harry lol. While he may not physically appear in the game for most of it, Pete knows Harry is dying from the same condition his mom did and we know these two are friends and have history. We see Norman at the end with Harry in a tube, with what is obviously a symbiote. Most likely as a last chance effort to stop the disease. They set the sequel up perfectly to have Venom take center stage, and how shocking it will be for Pete when he realizes it's Harry.

Not only that but it was they're first try in creating a big Spider-Man GAME. Like arkham asylum it is not perfect, but it was the foundation to what would soon come in the future.....for rocksteady's first try, that is something amazing. And so they will not only take the foundation that they started on but improve FURTHER, doing big and ambitious things with it.....aswell as hearing the people's feedbacks and criticisms. Insomniac will do the same thing and Spider-Man 2 has the biggest potential to be a masterpiece put together🙌

1 gripe i have is that i wish i could look through the landmark and secret photos I took. it would be so fun to look through the blurry photos that i took mid-swing while peter claimed it was a perfect shot.
I love that Tim brings up what he doesn't like about the game and that Bryan is so professional with his explanation of why they added her as a playable character. such a good conversation overall!

It took me about 40 hrs to Platinum the game. Still swinging through to get there secret photos for the esu suit and awaiting the undies. I switch between white Spidey, Stark, dark suit and Iron Spidey suit. The anti-ock suit is a beast too! 🔥 Plays beautifully on the Spidey Pro!

Just finished the story. What an amazing ending and just a spectacular game overall. It really is the ultimate super hero experience and I'd say it's even slightly superior to the Arkham games (they are great though too). I love this director. You can tell he's very genuine and passionate. He's very self aware and seems like he's a gamer just like anyone. Marvel and Sony definitely put Spider-Man in the right hands.

Me personally (of course I'm not a critic) I'd give Spider-Man at least a 9.5/10 bc of the amount of fun I had with this game combined with the good story.
from the first second of the games opening you could tell love went into it. and from watching this you can tell its an immense amount of love he says they didn't put in the venom suit because it deserves its spot in the light, truly shows he cares for this character/world/story thank so much Bryan and insom

I cried like a baby at the ending. No shame. This game is amazing. Great writing and voice acting as well. One of the best pieces of Spiderman media period, not just video games.
For the swinging vs axe debate, I feel like the big decider in favor of the axe is how amazing it feels to have it come back to you. Spider-Man is the most polished, fluid and fun swinging in any Spidey game, but there's just something about retrieving the axe that feels so fucking good. The whirl sound it makes as it cuts through the air, until it lands in your hand with a forceful thud. It just makes you feel so powerful. And that's crazy considering we're also talking about literally swinging through NY with your hands.

Y'all should totally do the Superior Spider-Man if more games ever happens. That storyline is legendary, but also modern and underused in adaptations, and I would love to see your take on it. Honestly I think that if this becomes a big franchise, you're one of the only ones that can do it. Superior Spider-Man is definitely a third or fourth game kinda plotline.

Tim is spot on with the MJ criticism. She's the only poorly written character in the game. They were so concerned about making her some fierce independent woman that they forgot to make her a believable human.
All she ever does or talk about is plot related stuff and she doesn't seem to have an existence outside of the plot and her relationship with spiderman. She devolves into a sidekick with a chip on her shoulder about being the partner and equal of a dude with superhuman powers.
Woulda been cool to maybe explore how she got this crazy inferiority complex that verges on a death wish in the first place. Delve into that psychology a bit, but there's none of that. Just Tom Clancy super reporter.

I felt a similar way. The player gets to hear a little bit about MJ's past (the bad family life with her father compared to Harry and Norman's relationship, and from time to time she shows how she misses the innocence of childhood), but we didn't get much more about her present life than "I'm a reporter and I really want to do this side/main mission."
I liked the MJ in this game, but I definitely didn't feel like she's a good adaptation of the old MJ. She is entirely new.
On top of all of what you said (HUGE SPOILER AHEAD) she is a toxic person to be with in a relationship and I just can't get why Peter wanted to go back to being with her in the end. Her saying ''I never stopped caring'' or whatever was the biggest fuck you to Peter, literally ''hey I did fine without you for half a year but now that all of your shit is dealt with I will gladly be with you again'' like what the fuck man, you walk into a mercenary base and shit on Peter for caring about your safety.. They really missed the mark with MJ, imo the worst thing about the game.
That favorite moment of his from the final climax must’ve been inspired by RoboCop. The shift in dramatic music with the eyeball zoom.
I used Classic Spidey (prestine condition of course,) then the Stark Suit, and transitioned from that to 2099 suit.....OMFG THANK YOU FOR ADDING THE 2099 suit 😭💕
One of my favorite missions in the game is when you're playing as MJ and you are directing Spider-Man to take out the guards. That was brilliant.

I kept finding myself going back to triangle to dodge at times tho, crazy how ingrained Arkham is on me. And tbf a lot of the games similar in mechanics that have come after it use triangle in a similar way as well, so became a little frustrated at times. 😂
The Saber battles can get a bit much when there's a ton of em shooting as the red lines just blur everything as well. I'm assuming that was a conscious choice.
What a game though, the boss battles are amazing, incredible emotional impact throughout as well. Seriously cannot wait until the sequel. Going to have to though, for my own sake. Will be waiting ever patiently for it.

I really enjoyed the relationship Peter and Otto had while it lasted. It reminded me of Rami's Spider-Man 2 with the scene of Otto and Peter and there was that spark of master and protege going on. Having that in the game was a perfect fit.

One of my favorite things about their portrayal of J Jonah Jameson is how they didn't just make him the simple "he hates Spider-Man" gag- obviously he still does, and it's hilarious, but they also show that there's more to him than that. The conspiracy theories, how his opinions on Osborn change as new information comes to light-
The speech he gives when the city is in turmoil- "Be the heroes i know you can be"- i mean holy shit dude. Incredible.

Stan lee would always say that spiderman is so loved because he is so relatable. The fact that Bryan Intihar took this to heart is the main reason why this game is so great. Insomniac is a great games studio because ted price cares about what the studio wants to make, and what the studio has a passion for.
The Secret Wars suit is heavily underrated! I slept on it all the way through the story, but post story when I was doing collectibles I took a look at it and loved it. It really grew on me and now it’s my main suit for DLC.
While it might not be perfect, Spider-Man (PS4) really captures Spider-Man and Peter Parker and where the two lives collide. MJ's and Peter's relationship being very uncertain, Ben mentioned but not exposition dumped, Miles and Peter sharing moments, it's just such a great interpretation of the character and Yuri Lowenthal *nails* the charismatic, constantly joking Spider-Man, the awkward but lovable and caring Peter and the emotional and heartbroken Peter so well. He's such a great fit for the character. *Spider-Cop is on the case!*

Spiderman was the very first comic I ever read as a kid.. over the years my interest just wasn't there. This game made me fall in love with spidey all over again. What a great episode. Especially the answer Brian gives to Greg about his "shirt" gave me fucking goosebumps
This game's story is so underrated. All the beats hit me. The third chapter is so good. What I like the most is the motivations of the three main "villains" especially Norman. I can totally see how a man as brilliant as him would be obsessed with saving his son after his wife's passing. It hits hard and makes you feel for him.
That's what I really liked about Norman's character in this. Throughout most of the game you think that Norman's just a selfish asshole that's only looking out for himself, but when you find out that he's doing it all to desperately save what's left of his family, it does kind of put things in to perspective.
If this is going to be the gaming equivalent of the MCU (MGU?), it’s cool that we’re jumping into established universe, instead of a slow start from the beginning. Best way they could have done it.

The moment the spoilers open up and greg asks about harry and the symbiote link, insted of havin that freakout (like the end GoW loki reveal) Tim changes the direction of conversation to a "normal" interview. Next time just let the boys freak and react to these big moments as that is exactly what I'd say and havin smeone divert conservation so quickly was dissapointing. Keep up the good work boys

Picked up the Amazing Red PS4 just to play Spider-Man. I think it has topped Spider-Man 2 as my favorite Spider-Man game. The character arcs and storytelling were fantastic and I loved what they did with the characters in this continuity. Fun fact, I read that the PS4 Spider-Man is in the followup crossover event to Spider-verse. The sequel is called Spider-Geddon.
It was such a surprise to see that Aunt May and Otto knew that he was Spider-Man. More surprising was the fact they actually had the guts to kill Aunt May. It felt earned and was what they should have done in One More Day. I understand Peter loves his aunt. But to make a deal with Mephisto to save his aunt by nullifying his marriage to MJ was stupid. So glad Insomniac took the chance they did with May, and I am curious to see where this continuity leads. Will we see characters like Spider-Gwen? May Day Parker? Spider-Woman, Silk, etc. if not in the 2nd maybe the third? I also thought it was interesting what they did with Silver Sable. I'd love to see other baddies like Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio, Sand Man, The Lizard, or wait for it....Morlun or Morbius in a sequel.
If your reading these comments Insomniac, Brian Intihar...would it be possible to add a theatre mode so we can watch all the cutscenes in sequence like Metal Gear's theatre mode? XD They are just that good!

As someone who didn't complete the story yet (and spoiled the game here for myself) I predicted that otto knew Peter was Spider-Man the whole time what tipped me off was when otto said "keeping track of Spidermans enemies? Smart" to Peter
This Spider-Man destroys every other iteration of Spider-Man out there. Yuri is so good. He killed it. I didn’t even realize it was him for a good part of the game. He is Peter. His work destroys Tom/Andrew/tobey easily.
Also back when Arkham asylum came out me and my buddies said they need to make a Spider-Man game with this style. And bam we pretty much got it and it’s amazing.
Spider cop was so great. That ending with him was perfect.

Chill out bro. Just because it’s really good and it’s your personal (and my personal) favorite, doesn’t mean it “destroys” the other iterations. Nothing will ever replace Tobey, and Tom is doing a stellar job. The 90’s cartoon will always be a pillar of Spider-Man, the Spider-verse movie is a game changing instant classic, my dusty old Ultimate Spider-Man volume is holy scripture.
This game doesn’t destroy a damn thing, it builds on what came before and makes it better.

Listened to this while I did my post story cleanup to get the rest of the districts completed for the platinum. Such a great experience, any Spider-Man fan is going to have a hell of a time with this game. Spider-Man 2 in 2020?! Please?!
As nice as 2020 sounds, I would count on 2021 or maybe even 22. But man, I cant wait. I am a huge Venom fan, so that tease at the end was awesome.
I mostly used the Advanced Suit, but would usually put the Big Time suit on at night. That neon green on black looks awesome at night.
Please don't let Miles be a main character in next game. I'd still want to have Peter as main. Miles can have his own time like he had in this game, you can give him MJ's part too. But don't let it be longer than one or two hours. Peter IS the Spider-man. I would be immensely disappointed if Insomniac would go for a 50/50 playroute with Peter and Miles.

There are literally dozens of great villains waiting there to be added in sequels. Goblins, Sandman, Mysterio, Lizard, Kraven, Symbiotes, Morbius and the list just goes on. Spider-man was fine for 50 years before Miles was created. I'm sure it'll be just fine without him.
Gotenokaru Yeah I just finished the game today and whilst I love the Miles character I really hope he doesn’t take centre stage in the sequel. I’m fine with him being playable and being a big part of the story but I still want the next game to be mainly focused on Peter/Spider-Man. I would especially hate if they killed Peter off early on then the rest of the game you play as Miles.
That was my concern too, just like with GoW being replaced by Atreus, but i dont think they will replace iconic characters. I believe Miles is in the future Games a playable side character. Like Spideys sidekick.
