  • New details about Danelo Cavalcante's time on the run have been revealed by U.S. Marshals.
The escaped prisoner and convicted murderer was captured Wednesday morning after a nearly two-week-long manhunt.
A K9 officer from U.S. Customs and Border Protection subdued Calvacante until human officers were able to detain him.
“We wanted to cut his resources off, we wanted him to make mistakes, we wanted to move him, and that’s exactly what we did," said Robert Clark, supervisory deputy for the U.S. Marshals Service.
After being taken into custody, Cavalcante was questioned by investigators.
Clark told FOX43 Cavalcante was very willing to talk and investigators treated him with respect, which they believe he appreciated.

And no possibility of ever repaying the gigantic moral debt he owes the families of his two victims. No possibility of ever find his way and telling his truth to others so they don’t go down the same path. The death penalty does not deter murder. It never has, and never will. And if your only motivation in supporting the death penalty is to express your anger, that just makes you a murderer by proxy. Besides, if all you’re about (on this issue) is punishment, well, how is it better to murder him than to allow his suffering to continue for another 40 years?

@@vsoraya is that better than 3 meals a day and likely some extra little hookups in prison? There's no way, he was constantly scared of law enforcement, he couldn't sleep, he literally hid his feces in fear of being tracked (which in fairness likely wasn't much for his lack of fiber intake). I seriously doubt he was drinking pure spring water. I bet this guy is so happy to be back in a federal penitentiary. He wasn't free, he was being hunted, and he knew it. I bet the nerves even got to him as he laid in leaves trembling, falling asleep for a few minutes out of pure exhaustion... It maybe wasn't that intense the whole time but it certainly wasn't freedom or enjoyable. Getting out of prison isn't easy for the ones that are released! I don't understand why you think this would even semi relate to freedom for Danelo. He was a fugitive on the run with his picture everywhere and being actively tracked with as much detail as quick as police has ever released it, especially in these cases. We saw ring doorbell footage within a day. He didn't stand a chance. They had a tight border on him. However, it's easy to hide in a forest. Idk how true but they said officers almost stepped on him at one point. To say this was freedom for him makes zero sense at all.

Rip Gretal , mother-in-law’s dog that died a month ago at 11
She wasn’t even trained, but she could jump nine or 10 feet in the air to catch a frisbee, and would run around the yard for an hour, letting nine or 10 nieces and nephews Chase are, no one ever got close
And anyone approaching the house she didn’t know, look out
      She was an awesome dog
