Seeing the imperial guard fight against the sisters of battle was considered a mercy. The leaders of this regiment didn't sound confident in their ability to lead. I am glad some of the sisters of battle allowed the survivors to surrender. Nice game play and thanks for bringing back a sweet memory.

You are not fighting them, you are dancing with them:)! My game is more of massacre. Chaos rules in my ranks;p! But sis' are good army. It's cool to play with them.
Basically, every imperial wants a piece of the pie that is this system and refusal is treachery. I take it there aren't any debate clubs in the empire if this is how conversations between imperial goes.
And when someone stronger disagrees, they are left with only a few choices: 1. Abandoned all resources. 2. Attempt to recapture the planets. 3. Head smash exterminatus button.
It's my favorite stronghold mission, I think it's one of the best-made scenarios in the game but it also hurts me because the Imperial Guard is my favorite faction in the game, it was my first faction I played
Yeah Imperial Guard Strongholds are painful to fight against. It was still painful, however, to watch some parts of this game, such as how long it took to do inferno pistol upgrade and no early flamers
sister of bsttle are so hard to use i add ulti apco mod on mine the imperial have over 40 unit in the fild and i am stuck with only 20 unit max i cant win agenst them.

Sister if battle are so far the shittiest army I played as do far, as necrons I can pull the win everysingle time but as nuns with guns taking down imperial guards is fucking impossible
You got to take out the Eastern base first, then the Marauder production and then finally assault the massive cannon. If you don't your going to be overrun pretty quick. Melta guns and tanks should do good against their armour and flame throwers will be effective against their infantry. Most important is to line the major roads leading to your base with turrets and mines. That will ensure a strong defense so you can dig in and build up your forces.
@@jk844100 Tyranids actually came first! They were mentioned in Warhammer 40k 1st edition in the late 80s and got actual models in the 90s. Halo: Combat Evolved didn't come out until 2001. Can we just take a moment to appreciate how much the imperial guard leader and commisar voice actors KILLED IT in the opening cutscene of the mission?
Their intro is the whole reason i plan on doing a guard playthrough.
Edit: you still got that plan Dutch?
Yeah, they killed it alright. It, to me, was so non-motivational that I just couldn't believe they believed in their own words.
Are you being sarcastic? That was some of the most poorly conceived and delivered VO I've ever heard.

Gotta love how he tells them to fight to the last man and any that runs was to be shot... than he runs away
The men who give the orders are a different breed than the ones who fear them. Of course he would run away😂

Man, I really feel bad for the Guard. They would have brought the place back up to a main imperial world.
I do too feel bad for them, but their leaders were not worthy and found themselves wanting.
But under SoB rule, it becomes a holy system and gets a lot of pilgrims.

Thx god. I was trying to fulfill this mission for four days. Jesus, it's over. Thankful
If anything, just take over the smaller provinces on each planet to get more honor guard units then hit them hard.
i use the sisters with bolters to take down the basilisk cannon with ease by placing them at the bottom of the wall .

I like how the guard just pummeled the sisters in the canon story of soulstorm
To be fair, in the canon ending everyone ends up gets pummelled by the Orks anyway

Should have added the Tyranids.
they added it as one of the 4 base races for the next game
