At last I was getting withdrawal symptoms, very good video shows some of the more mundane steps in making the magic happen , demonstrating the superb skill of the of artist plus a insight into the time it really takes to produce a item such as this.
You inspire me, thank you! Thanks for being willing to share your methods, many in the jewellery industry keep their knowledge hidden and are very selfish about it. I’ve learned a lot from you, thanks again
Thank you so much for sharing your craft. That turned out to be such a beauty. All the angles and close-up shots are really great so thanks for the time and effort that was put into this video.
Me encantan estos vídeos, admiro la habilidad del orfebre, hace parecer todo tan fácil!!! ... típica característica del que sabe de verdad. Felicitaciones!!!!!!!

I'm not usually a fan of big rings but this is beautiful! My favourite of the topaz is London blue. You make it look so easy but I know preparing a ring for setting is tedious work. Good job
The RBC diamonds look to be of good colour and quality. Lovely ring. I hope that the owner keeps the topaz clean - they need gentle cleaning, quite often.
@@hasa8491 Cleaning a topaz requires 1/2 part warm water and 1/2 part household ammonia. Use a baby toothbrush with soft bristles and gently brush the pavillion after soaking in the ammonia/water mixture for 10 minutes. Rinse in tepid water and dry with a chamois.
Thank you for the information. One last question, what gage thickness do you most often mill press material to use for your rings and pendants. I’ve used gages 16 & 14 but I feel they are somewhat thin, possibly 12 gage? Please advise. Thank you for your help.
Hello. Thank you for showing the tools you most often use. I hope you don't mind me asking a couple questions. Can you tell me what gage you most often roll your metal to for your rings? Also, what cut # and brand pillar file do I see you use most on your videos? Finally, what brand saw blades are your 0/2 blades? I love watching you work and I've learned a lot from you. Your work is absolutely beautiful and amazing! Thank you so much!
What was that final process where it was put in the liquid on the hook? It looked like the ring started being more of a white colour after that, or did it become more white during the polishing?
Depending on the metal and the total dimensions, and not always after the melting, the metal behaves in the same way. You have to rehearse, and in time you will understand the limits of the metal you want to use
Thanks, no we do not have an online store with sales. Normally we make custom jewels. Probably by the end of the year we will also start to sell online.
hi my name is Angel and I fallow you and your works. i think you are one of the best if not the best Jewelry man around. I want one of those rings I need to have an Idea how much cost one ring like this one. Just please let me know. So I go to need how I can contact you to made our deal. Thanks Angel
I have been trying to figure out where to find lose diamonds to use in a piece of jewelry like this but the only ones i see cost about 300 dollars each. is this always the case for lose diamonds? is it possible to find cheap lose diamonds for around 100 or less? i don't care about clarity. a diamond is a diamond to me. i just want to bypass store markups and have a piece of jewelry i can be proud of. and i already own an uncut sapphire i found while gem mining years ago.
surely you can find cheap diamonds to spend less, the diamonds mounted on the ring of the video are of average 0.07 points each, the price can vary from 40 to 100 dollars each, depends on the quality that you choose.
Alot of work I'm sure machines make them faster but watching the process by hand is something else custom made that ring should cost a million dollars doing it that way in my book. People just don't do things like that no more they are to lazy keep up the great work
I’ve been watching your videos for quite some time now. In a lot of then your fingers are hurt. Are those injuries work related? As always great work 👍
As a goldsmith, I can confirm and relate to those injuries, nothing serious, but you tend to get minor cuts and bruises on a regular basis, I for one, is usually very careful, but still, the profession, in general, requires you to work in close proximity with sharp tools and machinery, and in most cases you cannot work on the project unless you hold them with fingers, cause ssometimes the angles are not workable when you hold with pliers or similar tools.
Great work and video. I've been watching your channel for quite a while now. I wonder if you have an estimation of how much gold is lost in a work like this.

I did not try it, I saw some demonstrations, the biggest advantage is that it does not heat the piece to be welded. Its limitation is that when you have to weld parts such as the video ring, the ax on the welded surface of the cavities, difficult to remove on flat and large surfaces. It has a high cost that must be justified by the type of use you make of it. I think it's great for repairs and for all those new items that require small welds
I work for a company that produces laser systems, including for jewelers. I am engaged in their Assembly and installation at the customer, but know little about the application, especially in other countries. While I can say that the seam is not always needed, the main thing-the ability to rigidly fix the parts before soldering. Until thought such. Well, titanium products are cooked perfectly and firmly. Gold and silver have a high reflectance, so high energy is needed. I am sure You have the opportunity to go to the exhibition, try to work=)
You are a grade craftsman. Thumbs up!! Thanks for the video. :) But is the Videotitle wrong? Videotitle Topaz. Videodescription sapphire. I thought a Topaz are yellow and a Sapphire are Blue.
Blue topaz is very common, but topaz in most people's minds is probably yellow. Also, sapphire is not just blue, sapphire can be a range of colours(yellow, pink, blue, green etc) but cannot be red, a red sapphire is designated as a ruby. (Ruby and sapphire are the same type of gemstone.
By far, the best I've seen on detailed silver smithing. Truly excellent work!

He put it in an ultrasonic bath. It shakes off all the polishing compound and/or dirt and grease that you can't reach with your hand tools.
Amazing work!! WoW! I understand now why rings are so expensive.
