My blade belt pulleys just few apart and destroyed the belt........we have used it 9 times since new......at about 45 minutes per use......cost over 1k new......we went with toro because we did not want problems.....so much for toro quality,,,,geeezz
Yeah I’ve had my fair share of repairing this thing. I’ve replaced the blade belt 2x and the clutch drive belt 1x. It just takes more maintenance be there’s more to go wrong. I love it when working, but it is definitely fragile.
Hi , thanks for the video . Just wondering how many hours did this mower run to cause this much wear in the pulleys ? Would you suggest replacing these parts every year ? Thanks for your reply .
I run mine about 2 hours a week during the summer. The idler pulleys were pretty lousy from factory. They updated them to keep dust away from the bearings. I would say you don’t need to replace these parts regularly but I would take the cover off occasionally and clean as well as inspect the belts, pulleys and tensioner. Make sure nothing feels loose and if you hear anything besides normal operation, I would inspect where the noise is coming from. You can save money by fixing before failure. If I had done that, I would’ve saved $50 on blades. Thanks for commenting, let me know if there’s anything else you would like to know.

Not since this video no. But I never really feel confident that it’ll last more than a year or two. It just feels poorly designed.
