You'll often see photos of Walt Disney in the cab because he and the railroad's owner were very close. Its in Astoria Oregon now

The whistle 4014 on her trip to Denver and back which 844 had worn for over a decade is in fact her original whistle she wore in service back in the 40s. Ed somehow found it and we've been hearing 4014 sing out ever since. That whistle is much more befitting a big boy, it has WAY more of a roar to it. The new old stock whistle 4014 wears now isn't bad, but it's a bit more mellow in its tones.

Mike I am gonna be honest, when I was a kid I was only a diesel fan lol! I wasn't really into steam for whatever reason when I was a kid! However thanks to a cool book I own, I grew to LOVE steam just as much if not more then diesels! Another great video man! I think I was cheering at all the great clips you shot here haha! Great video as usual! :)

Steam locomotives were also important during World War II. Troop traffic was pulled by steam engines like the Big Boys and Pennsylvania RR J1 which was a 2-10-4 Texas loco built from 1942-1944 for the war effort.
