I would like to emphasize for the non Italian viewers what Dino says at 36:23. Strictly speaking pretty much any car you see in this video that have any sort of mechanical modification to the engine, makes the car not road legal in Italy. ECU tuning it’s very popular here cause it’s a grey area. There is no way to tell what has been done to car and the way power is specified in the papers doesn’t state if it’s crank or wheel so there is some room there. Anything else is pretty much illegal here unless approved from the OEM. Even wheels are illegal if not in the papers. The market for these shops is there cause people have the passion and want to spend the money, but the government sorts of put them a bit underground. I’m really jealous of the owners that still chase their passion, spend the money for the modifications and still drive the car on the road with all the risks that’s comply (impounding, insurance and so on). For me personally I just don’t have balls.
@@hashiru86Yeah but in Germany there is TUV inspection. In Italy TUV homologation is not recognized. It's one of the field of EU regulations lacking harmonization.
After owning a dual clutch Lancer, I always said I can never go back to a traditional manual with three peddles…but after seeing this car and another Yaris from Power Tune Australia, a GR Yaris with a sequential gearbox might possibly be my next car 👍 love the video!
It's such a shame that the laws in Italy are so... adversarial to tuners. I really wish they had the kind of freedom we do here in the states and in Japan to go wild with their cars. But nonetheless, this is really cool and inspiring. I'll bet Rob Dahm would be SO jealous of the wiring facilities at Acme! Also, I just have to say... AAAAAA Corvette! lol
Acme: Fantastic Company and Cars.
Loving this Italian Tour
Thanks!

@@giovannifacci Ok I see, but can you drive aftermarket wheels or exhaust legally somehow?
So yet again a government spoiling peoples fun (the same story in so many countries)

ACME look after my Yaris too. Huge amount of love for them, Matteo’s support has been incredible over the last 18 months
Hope yours has the sequential too! Perfect car for Italian touge 😂
@@dino_dc I have the xshift sequential instead of the Kotouc but yes, basically same mapping as Matteo’s but with a smaller turbo

Which turbo ref you use for 500 HP ? G25-550 ?
Hopefully Acme can reply to that one 👌🏻
