What a pure voice - the quality of his voice best suits the more ‘casual traditional’ style. He would have to change drastically to become a classical singer. All the best to him.
@@rockgrove3 You obviously don't know very much about Emmet Cahill. He IS a classically trained singer, who plays piano, organ and violin. He graduated from the renowned Royal Irish Academy of Music, where he earned a university degree in Music Performance. Emmet was honoured with The John McCormack Bursary, recognizing him as the most Promising Young Tenor in Ireland. He also earned the distinction of being named the most promising young singer at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and achieved multiple prizes at the National Feis Ceoil singing competition. These achievements brought him to the attention of Celtic Thunder Producer Sharon Browne and Emmet has been a principle vocalist with CT since 2011. He has toured extensively with them to various parts of the world. Emmet sings everything from pop to opera. For you to call him a "casual traditional. needing to change drastically to become a classical singer", is an insult to his abilities and greatly underestimates his talent. My Rosie left this earth on October the 18th , 18 years ago .
A friend of mine sang this beautifully song at the gravesite.

Love his natural-ness... And what makes him stand out amid the Groban songs (?) is he's not afraid to sing Christian hymns. They speak to the soul. We need more peace and safety through Christ in these troubled times.

I love it. What an amazing hymn, so many different renditions, and so interesting. Emmet Cahill, does an amazing job and the accompaniment is very different also but that is the beauty that an artist can bring to a very well known piece.
