  • This docudrama tells the story from the Irish Penal times up to the Knock Apparition in which Our Lady, St Joseph and St john appeared to 20 witnesses in Knock, Co Mayo. During this time there was a second famine. 40 years after the Great Famine.
The Irish Famine, also known as the Great Famine or the Potato Famine, was a devastating period of mass starvation and disease in Ireland during the mid-19th century. It is one of the most tragic events in Irish history and had profound and lasting effects on the country.
The primary cause of the Irish Famine was the widespread failure of the potato crop, which was the staple food for the majority of the Irish population. The Famine is usually associated with the potato blight, a disease caused by a fungus (Phytophthora infestans) that rapidly destroyed potato plants, leading to severe food shortages. This blight first appeared in Ireland in 1845 and continued to devastate potato crops for several years.
The Irish population was heavily dependent on potatoes as a source of food, especially the rural and impoverished communities. When the potato crop failed, the consequences were catastrophic. Millions of people faced famine, and the effects were exacerbated by the British government's inadequate response and policies.
The British government, which controlled Ireland at the time, implemented policies that worsened the impact of the Famine. Landlords continued to export food from Ireland while people were starving, and relief efforts were often insufficient and poorly organized. Additionally, the British government's reliance on laissez-faire economic principles meant that they were hesitant to intervene in the market to provide aid.
As a result, approximately one million people died from starvation and related diseases during the Irish Famine, and another million emigrated from Ireland in search of a better life, primarily to the United States and Canada. The population of Ireland decreased significantly during this period, and the country faced profound social and economic changes.
The Irish Famine had long-lasting effects on Irish society and culture. It fueled anti-British sentiment and nationalist movements. It also had a significant impact on Irish immigration patterns, leading to Irish diaspora communities in various parts of the world. The memory of the Famine remains an important part of Irish history and identity.

This apparition speaks to us now 2023 where some do not believe the true presence of Our Lord. It's telling us He is there the angels are adoring Our Lord and we should come to receive Him with great reverence. Also the Altar is of the Latin Mass which God in the apparition is saying it stays. St. John is pointing to heaven saying Jesus is the only way to God Our Father that is the reason He send Him to die for us. St. Joseph is reverent towards Blessed Mother paying respect. This is what all need to remember and respect her. Especially in these times 2023. Blessed Mother is always there praying for us. She intercede for us to God praying.

I am born on the 21st August 1988. Up till last Saturday, I was driven to visit Knock in County Mayo. I moved to Ireland from Singapore 5 years ago not knowing anything about the apparition which happened on the 21st August 1879. Everything happens for a reason and divine timing. I felt something different when I was on the church grounds. By any means I am not pious or anything, I am just a witness. Amen.

Everyone needs to hear this story and think ... think how it affects us all living in this day and age today. The "powers" that be are working on the people to cave into the government for food, drink, work ... take a lesson. Dearest Heavenly Mother please have mercy on us all let your children go back to your Son, His Father and the Holy Spirit. May we see a renewal for US all to return to God.

Apparitions of Our Lady often precede something significant. In the case of Knock, the events surrounding Captain Boycott in the neighbouring district began just a few months after the apparition. Our Lady of Kibeho predicted the genocide in Rwanda. Our Lady of Medjugorje first appeared a few years before the break up of Yugoslavia. Our Lady of Guadalupe foretold change was coming for native Americans and Our Lady of Fatima gave of the third Fatima secret which will involve the persecution of the Church. It is also near Croak Patrick, where St Patrick was said to have fasted for 40 days in 441. Hunger is the common theme. Self inflicted hunger is different in that it requires fortitude. Inflicted starvation can impart fortitude.

Irish people are always bigging themselves up. Saying things like "No Country had a devotion to the Mass like Ireland! Rubbish. Spain, Italy, France have all great devotion to the Mass, just as much as Ireland. Our Lady is everybody's Mother not just Ireland's. Catholics all over the world love her just as much as the Irish! So get your facts right!
