I like the style of the bike! At my age,...52,...I could live with a 250cc bike,...run around town, commute back and forth to work, and scenic rides in the country,...it's all the bike I would ever want or need! I looked at bigger bikes,...but again,..at my age,...I don't need one,nor do I want one! Doesn't look too big or too small!
I just sold my Moto Guzzi Norge, and a few months ago I sold my Honda pacific coast, a 1994 that I used as a commuter for 24 trouble free years. Now the only machine I have left is my Honda GL 1800 Goldwing. I want to get a 250 street bike. I really like the Suzuki TU 250 four stroke single. I have more fun ringing the neck of a 250 then putting around on a machine like a ninja 600 or my old FJ 1200. You just can’t ring their neck on the street and survive for long. This Suzuki GW 250 is one I never considered. In this video pointed out that it is a full-size motorcycle. I rode raced 250s back when they were two strokes, a Yamaha RD 250. That machine would actually do 105 miles an hour with the mirrors and turn signals removed in a 16 tooth Countershaft sprocket by the radar display at one of the race track so I raced that. But that was actually on the first or second lap. By the end of a 15 lap sprint, it was lucky to do 95, but completely stock including the top on the airbox and the stock air cleaner. I learned in my early years of road racing that the factory actually knows more than I do, and I always left my machines alone after I modified my first road racing machine into a pile of junk. This machine I see them from time to time for sale on craigslist. I’m going to go check it out. Thanks for the good review
It’s a good bike. I’d put mine up for sale and then test rode a few bikes like the MT03 and realized how uncomfortable they were in comparison to Inazuma GW250. I cancelled my plans and am happy to have kept this bike with me.
Yes I've just bought one and it's brilliant... I've had other bikes 850 cc 650 cc and all.. but in this day and age.. you don't need anything else....👍
Hi Harry. I bought a Suzuki 250 new in 1994. It was an RGV250P and apart from the capacity and number of cylinders, it was the total opposite of yours!! 60bhp 130mph & 30mpg!
This review convinced me to buy one, in black too. The colour disguises that bizarre front mudguard somewhat. A simple no nonsense bike that is bloody brilliant
Just an up date I bought the inazuma had it 6 months now I have used it for commuting fun and did 1300 mile tour of Wales on it in june this little bike didn't miss a beat. It's the best £1500 I have spent the last day of the tour was the longest purdy in wales back to essex and she was fine on the M4 shame my arse wasn't I was in the company of some big adventure bikes and not once did I think I needed more power these are cracking little all rounders and dead easy to service yourself
A very fair review. I use mine for bopping around the lanes and some slightly longer trips. Very pleased with it, and not too tempted to return to the cost and weight of owning a high performance 750 again.
I'll second that it isn't a long distance bike. I rode mine from Doncaster to Naples, with camping gear. I really could have used a fairing. Too many people judge bikes against the biggest and fastest available, as if anything less is a poor compromise, nice review! I bought my bike as a learner bike (when I lived in New Zealand). The main reason was the looks, as to a non biker, it is big enough for NZ locals to think it could be a gang member bike, couple that with no Hi Viz and black leather jacket, and you become ultra visible. Shame we don't have a gang problem in the UK, they really are fantastic for getting motorcyclists seen!
I love my Inazuma, put the crash bars on it as I live in a country with weird roads. I particularly enjoy how throttle gives a real speed boost without feeling so torquey
Real and true review . Whit my 125 I do 60mph for about 25 min and also full tank (13 l) 320 miles ! Likely I find your review and I will no upgrade for 250cc to have 6 gears :)
Do you still have the bike? Just looked on MOT Check and it's done over 100,000 miles. That's amazing. If you still have it then how was the bike getting to 100,000 miles, any major parts etc?
I went to GT's in Plymouth to take a look at one of these. I don't want a sports bike or a poser bike, just a bike that well, ok, does look nice, will be reliable and good on economy, I'm a little worried that being 17.5 stone, I might be to heavy for this bike. I plan to use it occasionally for work (34 miles round trip) and for country side rides with my wife. She WONT go on a big powerful bike and that's another reason why I thought of a 250. I'm going on a test ride today. One last thing though, I sat on three GW250's. One was high up in the saddle?
I wouldn't recommend a 125, like a Honda CB125E. They just take too long getting up to 80km/h and struggle to go over 90km/h. This Suzuki I am interested in as a Commuter.
I had a cb125e and would not recommend it at all, it doesn't have a tacho, doesn't have fuel injection so requires quite a bit of warm up, you can't really get up to any amount of speed in first gear and are almost always riding out each gear to get any semblance of speed. It put me off motorcycling for a while.
The majority of motorcycle riders here in Canada are wealthy middle age men who don't care about saving gas. I have a GW250. It's a good bike but after 3 years I really want something faster. Especially for highway riding
Still riding it? If you DO decide to upgrade, may I suggest something from the Honda CB500 line-up? You look like a big guy, maybe the CB500X. They get the same fuel economy as the GW, even with twice the power.
the bike would be fine - i personally wouldn't fancy it but then i never have on any bike - if your happy to poodle along at 65mph then it would be ok.
Hey thank you for the review I have same bike want to know where did u got windscreen protector and those Oxford hot grips are sports or commuter I want to install them thank you
I live in the states and I'm trying to get opinions from people who own a gw 250 I've been looking at ninja 300 cbr 300 here the highway speeds are 70 to 80 mph. I'm 48 yrs old and lime you I've had big bikes with way more power than anyone in there right mind needs. talking about 170 mph bikes. what is your take on these bikes. would I be better with the ninja 300
The gw250 is nice cruising at 65mph - if your in the 70-80mph then the ninja is definitely a better choice, i'm sure if i had a ninja I'd be just as happy as it has many of the same positives and running costs are just slightly higher.
I can get a brand new 2016 leftover here ninja 300 with abs for 4800 us dollars otd. I think that is a good deal. I can get a gw 250 2017 for 4100 otd.
Hi, do you still have this Suzuki Inazuma ?? Just asking as I've just bought a 2013 model.. and yes it's great.. just wondering as a few years on now.. how and if you've stayed with this motorcycle ??? All the best.
Actually they do have ABS - I think it started in 2018 but definitely 2019's and later. I just bought a 2019 in China and it has it - can't wait to pick it up!
Thank you, I'm looking closely at these as a decent commuter. A licence test soon so will have a test ride then I think. Best regards and love the channel content
Don't think about distances but about time and driving styles. Going to work on a car will cost u more time on the road and more accelerations and that means more fuel. My audi a4 with the six gear in the highway doesn't do the difference but if u have to be changing between the first and the fourth you will have such a big difference bro

52 aswell and own one. Had practically everything else over the years
52 ?....you not old man..... you are actually younger than Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp.... think about it lol
at 71 went down to a Sinnis 250 and love it..
51 here and getting my license. Quite interested in this bike when I do.
Jebus I’m 57 and ride a MT10 my sons first bike is the Suzuki he loves it.
52 isn’t old !

Yes the Inazuma is a great all rounder.... 👍
Can it handle motorway speeds (70-75mph) well?
It’d be a bit strained at that speed but only a bit. I’ve gone 85 mph on it, which is really wringing it but it’ll go there.

I wish I had kept mine.

Awesome to hear. I will get my m.license soon and this looks like a great bike, I'm looking forward for some long trips with it.
I love my Inazuma, put the crash bars on it as I live in a country with weird roads.

I bought one to pass my test. The gear indicator was a great help for a novice.Nice bike.
I liked your review, especially since I am collecting my 2013 GW250 tomorrow.
Two squirrels are fighting over nuts on my lawn.
I sold my Suzuki 1250 gsx and bought a 250 your bike is real world nice review thanks .
What an excellent honest review, thanks
Going to view a 12 plate tomorrow fingers crossed I like it as much in the flesh so to speak as I do in the pictures
Real and true review . Whit my 125 I do 60mph for about 25 min and also full tank (13 l) 320 miles ! Likely I find your review and I will no upgrade for 250cc to have 6 gears :)
Great review mate, i'm 25 and looking at this for a commuter and think ill pull the trigger next week.
still got mine, it's a perfect commuter.

I love these kinds of bike because they can go any where any trail. Very rugged
Hey, Hooray For You. changeable old-fashioned What do you think... !!!

hi harry can you explain about your windscreen. how different when raid bike with screen or without screen many thanks
Nice informative review (like your Photographic one's which I have also found very useful) Thank you Harry , I have one of these in my sights !!! :-)
The majority of motorcycle riders here in Canada are wealthy middle age men who don't care about saving gas. I have a GW250. It's a good bike but after 3 years I really want something faster. Especially for highway riding
Would like to see a up-to date review Harry hows it going now?
had 1st mot done no probs at all. also had service done, cheap and easy, still loving the bike and runs like a dream.
Thanks for the reply Harry do you think Suzuki will be bringing out a A.B.S. model?
bacorable Do you mean the new Suzuki 250cc range the v strom and gxsr 250 ?
thank you for your advice.
Great looking bike mate good video too very informative thank you
PS the one I'm looking at is a 2017 exactly like yours
Yep, just gotta love these cheap-to-run commuters. A to B.
Still riding it? If you DO decide to upgrade, may I suggest something from the Honda CB500 line-up? You look like a big guy, maybe the CB500X. They get the same fuel economy as the GW, even with twice the power.
But comes with the usual Honda woeful reliability👍
How does it feel on the twisties? What's is like with stability, feedback, tracking and all that?
How would you rate this for long trips of 2.5 hrs at top cruising speed? How would it fair at the end of the trip?
the bike would be fine - i personally wouldn't fancy it but then i never have on any bike - if your happy to poodle along at 65mph then it would be ok.
😊140km/H ,持续七个小时以上,没问题
price in China 3300 usd. how much did you pay?
Hey thank you for the review I have same bike want to know where did u got windscreen protector and those Oxford hot grips are sports or commuter I want to install them thank you

See, now you've got me looking at a Ninja!!!!
@Tobias Schaab Yes these inazumas are a great motorcycle, I guess you'll like it. All the best.
Where did you buy the windshield?
i bought one from ebay
Made by Puig
Is this a good bike for a 1 hour daily commute, going about 70 miles per hour?
Sanjan Singh - it could be done but I wouldn't. I would suggest something more powerful at least a 500cc.
Does it have abs brakes!?
no
@@itzdakota6310 thank you.too bed.will keep searching one with abs.
Actually they do have ABS - I think it started in 2018 but definitely 2019's and later. I just bought a 2019 in China and it has it - can't wait to pick it up!
What was your opening intro? You spoke so fast I cannot make it out. Looking closely at these. Are you still happy with it?
Thanks
very happy.
Thank you,
I'm looking closely at these as a decent commuter. A licence test soon so will have a test ride then I think.
Best regards and love the channel content
Your car uses 4 - 5 more fuel than your 250. Blimey, do you drive a Ferrari?! Nice to see a mainstand for once.
Don't think about distances but about time and driving styles. Going to work on a car will cost u more time on the road and more accelerations and that means more fuel. My audi a4 with the six gear in the highway doesn't do the difference but if u have to be changing between the first and the fourth you will have such a big difference bro
What windscreen is that?
it looks like a puig ti me
Big, heavy, posh 250 twin. sorry it's going to a hard sell to people like me who remember (shudder!!) the Sooperdreams!
I can get it otd price of 4100 us dollars brand new
cool
Maintenance, gas mileage, problems, recalls! Those are the important things. You talked and did not say anything important!
fantastic video Harry. have you still got the gdub?
What screen do you have on it?
