    Excellent job Harry on describing how to avoid struggling in the downswing! Weight shift is a problem area for me and I have been working on the weight transfer combined with the rotation. I do work my swing around an inclined circle with a slight lateral shift before rotating my lead hip. Unless the weight doesn't shift correctly off of my right side onto the left side, I get great shots. Well Done Harry! Always look forward to your videos!

    Good tip. I like the sternum over the ball on backswing and downswing concept.

    All the top professionals have spine tilt. Over concentration of hip rotation leads to two way misses.

    • @harryshawgolf
      @harryshawgolf  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes they certainly do, spine tilt is so important from an accuracy/ consistency perspective… the rotation of the lead hip promote a better swing sequence and timing. Have you ma he’s to give these tips and drills a try yet?

      @333pg333 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@harryshawgolf But you're saying not to have much spine tile and to rotate hips a lot. I work on the opposite of that.

    • @harryshawgolf
      @harryshawgolf  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Both are key aspects to really focus on, and believe one compliments the other, spine tilt first then hip rotation second as i outline in the video.

    Hi Harry very clear and concise video my question is when do you transfer your weight at the beginning during or after I have rotated the left hip back keeping sternum over the ball thanks for your help kindly advise Jack

    • @harryshawgolf
      @harryshawgolf  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Jack, pleased you enjoyed the video… The transfer of the weight will take place naturally as you’ve fired the hips keeping your sternum over the ball (as soon as your transition begins). As soon as you think (turn the hip, the weight Weill begin to transfer)

    Wouldn’t this promote an out to in club path if you’re just rotating and not moving forward?

    • @harryshawgolf
      @harryshawgolf  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Moving forward will still promote an out to in swing path but promote the angle of attack to be more descending into the ball. This way with the hip turn keeps the hands closer to the body through the downswing… promoting an in to in path and the ideal attack angle.

    Hey Harry, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made.
    I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and repurpose your long videos into highly engaging shorts? I can also make high CTR thumbnails for your channel

      Hi thanks for reaching out, really appreciate your message. I currently have an editor on board so not in the market to look for another at the moment. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on shorts so feel free to drop me an email.

    Most confusing topic in golf on TH-cam in my opinion. Some guys speak about some lateral movement in the downswing and drop the arms, on the other hand you find content like this to just clear the hips away from the ball. There‘s no unity. Obviously you see much lateral movement for example when Rory is shifting his weight to the lead side.

      Yes, there are a lot of opinions: methods you can add/ use in your swing. It’s all about finding the one that works best for you. And to do this it’s all about trial and error.
      Is there anything you’d like to see me cover on the channel to help you with your game?
