Amazing 👏 gave us about 20 mini-tutorials, that were easy to follow without over-explaining things seamlessly!! This guy is the ultimate REASON cheat code!! Thanks SEF!!💪🏽
2:24 …. PAUSE …… PAUSE …. My mind just got blown … 🤯🤯🤯 … Either I wasn’t paying attention all of these years, but I have NEVER in my LIFE seen ANYONE do what YOU just did with those chords. I’ve seen people add notes over the top of chords to add movement and variations, but NEVER have I seen someone slice and dice the chords that are already there for movement … Mr. Sef Nitty … Thank You from the bottom of my SOUL for a LIFE ALTERING moment in my pursuit of musical greatness. That single move just opened up an ENTIRE new world of creativity for me. I am ETERNALLY indebted unto you … I feel like I should pay you for this because you literally have NO IDEA how much this just helped me. After I’m done watching the rest of this video, I’m immediately incorporating this move in most, if not all of my next creations. I can’t wait to try this … Man I could cry right now … how thankful I am Brodie … Thanks Man … May you and your loved ones receive every blessing from God that he intends for you … And last but certainly not least, THANK YOU REASON FOR KEEPING MY MIND INTRIGUED ALL THESE YEARS with your software. I’m expecting a STRONG FINISH for the REST OF 2022 …. I know you guys are cooking up more game changing devices and players for us creators … CHEERS 🍻
I guess you would never had made beats with a SP1200 or MPC60, the limited sample time, and not to many beat makers used simpte. Todays beat makers are spoiled
@@leftyrhymes9880 actually I have made beats with the Emu Emax II which was released around the same time as the SP1200 and had the same sound with about a minute more of sample time. Was it fun to work with? Absolutely, I used to buy into the “vintage” hype. Having owned several pieces of equipment that would now be considered even more vintage than when I owned them I can say that a lot of it is hype. Sure you can’t get the ring mod effect present in the emax/sp1200 in the MPC Live/X (the plug-in sucks) but you can get it with other outboard gear or with plug-ins. Personally I’m a fan of outboard gear. I own an MPC Live v1, a (Korg ReIssue) Vox continental 73key, a korg Minilogue XD 4 voice analogue poly/multiplied synth, a Moog subsequent 37 duophonic mono synth, plys some other outboard gear (outboard LFO/filter, reverb, vocal fx processing) plus the Roland boutique 808. Only thing that sucks about the boutique 808 is needing to use a TRS stereo Y cable to get a strong audio source with it. Since it has just a single stereo output and a stereo headphone output you only get half the single with a standard tipped sleeve instrument cable.
My guy is definitely top tier when it comes to teaching on reason. Some of his magic tricks had me like, Whatt!?......well, duhhh, that made sense, why I ain't think of that.
i have been using reason a lotta years and im still finding killer things sounds and all that and a lot of the ways you make your magic i use as well learned and learning on my own and now more magic. love learning keep feeding me please..
Maybe we can sub amateur for [pro]letariat in our next comment…. Ya know how they add a bunch of stupid ass words to the [diction]ary….. where we seek definitions & meanings, not diction or the style which we speak.. we make these regressive slurs & slang additions to this poorly titled book…but in the spirit of our inverted culture maybe we can take proletariat & cover it w 6’ of good soil!!…. I’ll bury that shit… u on board??
Bro. I always learn something new. Sef, it's like a clinic dude. I'm using my NN19 for my drums starting now. Man, I appreciate you blessing us with your craft. Don't stop.
About time I say... I've learned more about reason and editing tricks and tips with this guy from a genre of music I'd never considered following and now love it... Keep em coming like this Sef!!! Awesome...
Amazing Content Video! I've been a subscriber for some time and watching you work the multi lane and ghost note idea is inspiring. WOW ....please keep the videos coming this one is epic!!!
Been using reason for decades off and on and only NOW have I learned from you that we can see all our lanes together to edit them. I've been scrolling back and forth through each track by track trying line shit up by key and rhythm. SMH A thousand thank you's for that tip alone!!
Pretty dope literally see a comment on one of Nittys videos the other day saying He should have a video on here considering how many Reason production videos He uploads.
when you slap some good vst outboard plugins (like the T-Racks max bundle) it really takes Reasons sterile sound profile to that pro level. Glad I finally made the move to VST effects.
Excellent music and educational material is simply super. The question is, how can I make sure that the sequencer does not move behind the slider due to reason 12?
What is the reason To use al the nn-19s for the drums? Is it for the pitch detection feature? How acurate is that pitch detection? If i load A nnxt or nn19 they whil give diferent pitch after i use the pitch detection..
Great cook up tutorial. Is it possible to add that Scales and Chords to any VST in the same way u just did with the Glacius?? I’m assuming Glacius is a Reason plug-in.
I've been playing around on and off but am still very new. Do you have anything going into detail about how and why you "cut the lows out to leave room for the 808". For us noobs
Hey this is an awesome tutorial, but I'm not understanding the very beginning. once he selected scales and chords how did he get it to play a sample of the progression before recording it to track?
Amazing 👏 gave us about 20 mini-tutorials, that were easy to follow without over-explaining things seamlessly!! This guy is the ultimate REASON cheat code!! Thanks SEF!!💪🏽
I am not a trap producer but there is some transferable tricks in here. Great tutorial and great beat

Dope. Sef is fire.
Nitty shows the usefulness of one of the oldest device in Reason the NN19. I made a dope 808 bass using Melstrum and then loaded that into the NN19.
Been rocking with Sef
when you slap some good vst outboard plugins (like the T-Racks max bundle) it really takes Reasons sterile sound profile to that pro level. Glad I finally made the move to VST effects.

Excellent music and educational material is simply super. The question is, how can I make sure that the sequencer does not move behind the slider due to reason 12?
You can default the "instruments " to load in blank btw

Super dope video!! Definitely a lil something for everybody to take away from this one!
What is the reason To use al the nn-19s for the drums? Is it for the pitch detection feature? How acurate is that pitch detection? If i load A nnxt or nn19 they whil give diferent pitch after i use the pitch detection..
Great video sef, not my kind of music but glad you’re showing what reason can do
Yes!! I see you Lil bro!!! Let’s goooo!!
One of the best demo / tutorials out there apart from Andy Macs content for Akai
Wow great video. The way he made that melody with just chopping and pitch shifting was great.
He has real Reason piano roll skills!!
Great cook up tutorial. Is it possible to add that Scales and Chords to any VST in the same way u just did with the Glacius?? I’m assuming Glacius is a Reason plug-in.
