    I just started watching this out of curiosity. But what you said about putting the bearings in the freezer helped me realize that that's how I'm going to get my clutch on the drive shaft. I was about to pull my hair out earlier over like 3 mm haha SO THANKS!

    How do you make the crankshaft rotate freely after building an engine? Using a brass hammer or what? Please reply im going to rebuild my engine and i've done it once with my old crankcase and after i mounted it the crankshaft gave some noticable resistance for spinning. What im supposed to do in this situation?

    Hey man nice build just 1 tip for in the future u shouldn’t put your bearrings in the freezer! Some of them are made out of synthetic plastic (im not sure what the right name of it is in english) and if they get put in a hot crankcase while they are cold they can break! Its hard to see with the eye if they are metal or synthetic plastic.

    Hello , i dont know where you are located but im from canada and here we have YW50 and CW50, the engine case you got seems to be a Ovetto one and you need a BWSR wheel (CW50) or MBK Rocket, same thing for the kickstart cover, the Chromed Str8 kickcover fits too

    are you using a jasik evolution crank? was thinking of buying that one for my engine which has a broken crank. do they work good with 50cc you think or only for 70cc?

    • @ThatScooterThing
      @ThatScooterThing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it is a Jasil. One of the limitations we had was that the TPR kit uses a 10mm wrist pin. The full circle Jasil just made sense.
      I would think that is fine for 50 or lower 70cc kits.

    Hi with you my name is Brian
    Top performnaces due plus is a really good cylinder kit.
    I noticed you measured the squise,
    "WHY" it is not necessary because the gate time fits the bottom gasket and it will fit perfectly after you tighten it with the right kg of torque wrench. If you put another pack that is thinner between cylinder and block, then you are sure to run it better, I mean you tried to run with the pack that was included with the kit as well. so you can compare, because I'm afraid you're losing the impact of what you've done here.
    I even use top performances Due plus2 on my Yamaha aerox and I tried the same thing as you just a little bit thicker gasket than the one you used, my aerox run super well but after I put the included gasket in (just for fun so I could compare) then it ran a lot better.
    but normally I do not measure squise on a cast iron, this is anyway what we learn here in Denmark Ha ha ha (-: I only measure them on Aluminum Racing kits.
    how many Horsepower did you get out of your Due Plus kit in the video ..
    greeting Brian

    Heya is the porting like needed like obligatory?

    • @ThatScooterThing
      @ThatScooterThing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 70cc top performance kitsch actually fit really well even without flowing.
      The cylinder porting was a deliberate decision by us to get the most out of the cylinder but is not obligatory
      It is only the grinding to match the intake kit for the polini big evo intake that is obligatory

  • @koendejong6613
    @koendejong6613 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Since when do you have to flow the carters for a 70cc, i thought 70cc fits on a stoch engine

    • @max-zs8qq
      @max-zs8qq 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hoeft ook niet, bij een due plus in ieder geval niet. Leg je voetpakking op je carter en check of je pakking niet overlapt. Dan zie je zelf dat het geen nut heeft. Een roze top die hier word beschreven is eigenlijk gewoon een dr70 maar dan scherper getimed. Die zijn precies afgesteld op t carter van motori minarelli

    I put a propane torch to the engine case for two minutes, and the frozen SKF crank bearing didn't even attempt to make it's way into the seat.
    Same with the f'cking frozen crankshaft and the heating bearings, they didn't just "fall right in.
    Are these people all lying. or what temperature does the block need to be for the bearing to just "fall right in".

  • @guidosamson682
    @guidosamson682 ปีที่แล้ว

    The port timing is off of this cylinder and the squish is too big. Exhaust port too small
