Honestly I have just gotten the game on ps plus and immediately I am hooked onto it. Really loving this game but am I the only one experiencing severe frame rate drops on standard PS4? When faced with a large battle the frame rate drops severely (below 10 fps at least) to the extent of being unplayable. So far it occurs in all of the various areas I've explored (up to mission "Old Boys' Club"). It is most obvious while using telekinesis, and when there are a lot of particle effects flying around the space. I tried moving past it but it is so frequent and jarring that I can't help but question how it was not noticed or mentioned in many of the 80+/100 reviews aggregated on Metacritic. IGN is my top source for reviews and even here no mention was made of the frame rate being an issue on standard PS4. What platform was this review based on? I have the release day version installed to a Seagate external HDD. If anyone else is experiencing the same issue, where have you installed it? I doubt the installation location has anything to do with this but would like to rule that out. Rather I believe this to be a performance optimization issue. Despite that though, the game is sick thus far.
He did mention in the video that he experienced hitching and frame rate drops on the ps4 pro...so one can assume from that statement that the standard ps4 would be worse.
@@SuperTariq123 I suppose for reviewing for the people who don't own one, but IGN must have many and should review at least performance in both PC and Xbox

Yes some framerate drops do occur. But nowhere near unplayable.
Finished it today through PS+ Collection.
They should make more games like this nowadays
What another infamous, prototype clone? Why?
what's up with your captures lately ign? Time to upgrade to an elgato...
What's wrong with the capture?
@@GrimJackal not sharp. not crisp. blurry.

Because it's on epic games store
Not everyone can afford a gaming pc
One word... Epic exclusive.
@@SuperTariq123 I suppose for reviewing for the people who don't own one, but IGN must have many and should review at least performance in both PC and Xbox

I played it, it's actually really great, it's just having trouble breaking through cuz it's so different.
It's heavily inspired by the SCP universe, if that matters to you.
@Steven Murphy no, it's one of those that takes on a very complex pre-existing universe, slightly dumbed down to fit the average gamer.
Yes ppl...dont forget single player games exist. You dont always need multiplayer to have fun.
who has come here after epic sale in 25 dec haha
IGN: Gives Jedi Fallen Order a 9
Also IGN: Gives Control an 8.8
Still IGN: *"IGN GAME OF THE YEAR IS CONTROL"*
This is definitely on my buy on sale list. It looks like fun but i have the special edition of Astral Chain coming from Japan plus two other Switch games coming this week. Hope this game sells well, we need new ip's and single player games to thrive. I really hope to see more creativity and risks taken with AAA single player games. Got my eye on Death Stranding, i really hope that game is awesome and sells a boat load.
Support indies

Me: Control is a 9. IGN: Sorry everyone, only call of duty games get 9's. As such we have to nudge 0.2 points off and give Control an 8.8!
I would but 505 games published it
i hope they buy the rights on max payne back and do a remake or a max payne 4...
