Think they use their user submitted page on their website (i recommend checking it out if you're looking at new wheels for your ride) and see that there's not many 2015+ brz/86/frs. Probs due to pricing but yeah.
VW Gold R and GTI please. Btw the content is great and I know I troll a lot in the comments but yall are probably my favorite car channel lately. been loving the vids, keep it up ❤️
FR-S owner here, i’m running 18x10 Vordoven Forme 9 Matte Bronze wheels on 245/35/18 Falken Azenis FK510 tires. Do need to tuck your rear fenders in a bit but the fronts you don’t need to. the fitment is amazing
That guaranteed range at the beginning, you should do a video on just every popular tuner car out there with just that guaranteed range... That would be cool.
This video is a God Send! Thanks for making it! I can’t decide between 17 or 18s and meaty or stretched tire look for my 2015 FRS! Keep up making awesome videos!
what do you do with the car? 17's are popular with autocrossers and racers. Most people going for looks only go for the 18's. If it is a daily you don't really want the meaty gigantic tires because those things are much more expensive and can absolutely destroy gas mileage.
David Silva I want the functionality of 17s but want the looks of 18s so that’s where I’m torn. I DD my car so 18s won’t be a bad idea for that. But I do want to AutoX in the near future so 17 are the logical answer for that. I don’t plan on getting to serious with AutoX but just for fun. 18s of course aren’t the best for that purpose but I’m not trying to be super competitive and breaking lap times. Some guys do run 18s in AutoX. So by this comment it sounds like I’m leaning towards 18s, cus I love how they look for DD and they won’t totally kill my performance. But I want the functionality and low rotational mass of 17s cus it makes complete mechanical sense and tires are a bit more budget friendly. And my FRS is lowered on TRD springs btw lol.
That's why 17x9 is the sweet spot, or you could go RPF1, Volk, or T66F in 18 to get the look and still have wheels that weigh less than stock.Actually tire rack has 30 18" wheels that weigh under 18 pounds, so there are options in 18 as long as you keep an eye on the weight. I wish Fitment Industries listed wheel weights, but they don't.
Just a note for the track guys you will want something higher than a 35 offset if you want to run 255+ especially in the rear. As you go wider in the rear tire you will need higher offset as you will quickly run out of room with the quarter panel fender... im at +44 offset on 275 square and it *just* tucks in the rear with zero rubbing... front isn’t an issue since most track guys run between -3.5 & -4.0 camber so tons of room to fender
David Silva 285/30 is actually a bit better since the diameter is the same as stock but 275 is a nice size for boosted 86/BRZs... the car would be too slow with those tires NA 😂
I purchased my 2014 frs about 2 months ago.. it already had wheels on it (vossen cv3). staggered set up (19x9) front (19x10 with 48 offset) rear.. not sure about the offset for front. No rolled fenders with lowering springs. Little camber in the rear with little stretched tires. Drives great and looks amazing in my opinion.
Make a video with widebody measurements please! I have 50mm fender flares on my 2013 BRZ and currently running 1 inch spacers in the front and 2 inch spacers in the rear :,(
I really should have watched this video before swapping out my tires and deciding on a different size. I regret going with 45 aspect ratio on my 18x9. The fitment looked really good with almost no wheel gap showing, but I would have slight rubbing when I turn at maximum and when I hit slight dips. Definitely going back down to 40 or 35 because I feel I could go lower but limited with my current aspect ratio
I am currently running 18x9.5 +42 in the back and 18x8.5 +35 in the front with a Tein coilovers and a 1.25 inch drop on all corners. Oddly enough, it was also corner balanced and with this height it's 52/48 which is where I wanted it. The tire I am running is 255/40r18 (rear) and 235/45r18 (front) BF goodrich sport comp2. I have the damper settings 4 clicks from full hard. It only rubbed in the rear for the first month when hitting huge bumps on the highway but since then, no rubbing at all. It's not lay on frame low but I live in a hilly area and my driveway has a 6 degree grade. Rear wheels are flush with maybe 1/4-1/8 poke. rear camber is naturally around -2 degrees with the drop. Front wheels are tucked maybe 1/4 inch inwards but I don't want rubbing issues due to the driveway
Sounds like you know what you specifically want! Have you checked out our gallery we have a filter option so you can literally find the specs you are looking for!?
@@FitmentIndustries I did a bunch of research before I took the plunge. The only risk I took were the tire sizes. I purposely went over size on the diameter because the gaps in front and behind the tires on lowered suspension looks awful. I don't actually care thaaat much how low the car is. Everything I mod on the car must facilitate going faster and if it's cosmetic, it must never impede the speed. The abnormally wide tires are to handle the power I will have eventually.... Whenever I can afford the engine build
I got some Konig Hypergrams for my 15 FR-S 18x8.5 +38, on stock suspension. test fitted them, didn't see much any clearance issues, but if I do, I can always get spacers to help with it.
Can you guys make a video explaining 3 piece wheel. You guys say a lot about them. Maybe include selecting the parts of 3p wheels, assembly, and how to order. Thanks 😁
Could you do a break down of race setups (rims and tires) for the popular hot hatches. Example STI, Golf R, and Focus RS. Or you could break it down one at a time.
im one of the four people that actually have a 2015 frs and im going full crazy with it next year, bags, rocket bunny, nice wheels so id love a vid to get that fitment right on that body kit
Gage S. Depends on what look your going for, I’m running a 19x11 15offset with -2.5 camber with slight poke and in my opinion I think it’s perfect but others would think otherwise🤷🏻♂️
Id just like to say 9.5 with 25 offset is pushing it with a 235 cause it rubs on everything tucking tread. It looks good but i should have gone with a 35 offset because it could have gone fender to lip static...
For the BRZ you mentioned 18x8.5 +30mm offset, which tire sizes would you recommend without having to modify fenders, I also have coilovers. Thank you!
245 40 R17 x9 +35 meaty yet light, no rub, no camber, no rolling fenders, square, perfectly flush! Just put them on and go. Perfect for daily driving rough twisty country roads and the occational time attack. Although 17 inches and no drop won't give me any instagram followers, at least I don't shit myself when I hit a bump, or small pothole. Daily>Stance
Hi ! This is my first time trying to buy rims. I have a factory rims 2013 Scion frs but now I need to upgrade size 18" gold rims. Can you explain more details to get the right parts for my car? Thanks for your help.
Can we get something for a Focus RS/ST? I've got an RS (stock suspension), and the wheel list is tiny when dealing with the brake interference, but I know ST owners have issues as well
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Make a Video for what are the best wheels for the Honda Accord ( 2014 - 2017 ) that will fit without any modifications. I really need a 9th Gen Accord Coupe version like this Video.
In my opinion, get as close to stock wheel setup as possible. No need to go through all of that fender work and don't turn yourself into that guy across the street with that awful loud Civic who thinks it is cool.
I need to figure out what I need to do to fit my wheels, they’re pretty wide and I probably should have gone staggered. They’re 18x9.75 all around and I don’t want to lose my ability to turn
Dude, they're all the same fitment regardless of year...
RYGRR thank you, literally nothing changes fender wise each year
I have a 13 frs...thats what i was thinking..18×9.5 squared bc coils and 245/255 35 18...ijs
I went from a 15 frs to an 18 gt86, nothing changed except cosmetics, exhaust flanges, and the intake for manuals
It would've made more sense to cover the handful of widebodies rather than go through the years
Think they use their user submitted page on their website (i recommend checking it out if you're looking at new wheels for your ride) and see that there's not many 2015+ brz/86/frs. Probs due to pricing but yeah.

😊
Hey! I'm one of the four people that have a 2015 FR-S! Whoop whoop!
right there with you
I’m the 3rd
stock body is all the same ! its not like it got wider from the factory as the years went by lol
thats what i was just thinking
They all fit
FR-S owner here, i’m running 18x10 Vordoven Forme 9 Matte Bronze wheels on 245/35/18 Falken Azenis FK510 tires. Do need to tuck your rear fenders in a bit but the fronts you don’t need to. the fitment is amazing
I’m super late, but do you think 18x9.5 squared with coils would need tucking?
It would be great if you could do one of these videos on a late 90s civic, mods specifically 96-00. Keep up the great work 👍
That guaranteed range at the beginning, you should do a video on just every popular tuner car out there with just that guaranteed range... That would be cool.
Apex Arc-8 17x9 +42 on lowering springs fit the BRZ with the performance package brembos perfectly
I was thinking to put these fitment wheel on 235/45r17 On rear
There's many good forums for the 86/frs/brz fitments. Personally I think the 17 x 9 +38 looks perfect. Slight poke, drop an inch. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Do you’ll have a video that shows what fits a Honda S2000
2017 and older Subaru Crosstrek
thanks for the shout out, i'm one of the 4

Dude I run 17×8 35mm not boring. Super practical and enough meat to run a good STX Class in autocross
No kidding. I run 17x8 F & 17x9 R. Boring??? Cheap tires compared to 18 too.
Dang I love the vex and I love the channel subbed for 3 months
🙏🏼
I’m 1 out of the 4 ppl who owns a 2015 Brz 🙃
+1 :)
I have a 15 As well

Bruh 17's or even 16's are KING at autoX/track for an frs/brz/86. Instagram clout be damned.
They only know “show setup”, not Motorsport setup.
