I was told by a dentist about all these cool trails you could hit up in San Francisco. Never hooked up with him to hit those trails but now I might have to go find them myself.
Luarca’s Simple Cuts Wow yea this place was really interesting and diverse! Makes me stoked and shocked how much there really is within an hours drive just in the Bay Area alone! If only the smoke and fires were not a thing at the moment! Praying for everyone affected right now! Hard times with Every National Park in California now closed as of today!
I know this is a late comment, but if you see this, please check trailforks to see all of the trails mapped out in SF. We have a few double blacks, as well as some jumps in the Laguna Honda trail system. All trails are open now and ready to ride! I would love to see another video of my city!
I did this ride with the guy who runs the SF Trail building group... The bed pan alley behind the Laguna Honda hospital (They changed the name cause the hospital was embarrassed for dumping medical waste) Still had 100s of porcelain coated bed pans everywhere before they cleaned them up. We did some Golden Gate park trails too. I enjoyed it as it was a change....
alexdesignz09 woah 😳 didn’t know any of that! Thanks for the input, yea this place was a blast to see on the mtbs! Looks like a cool bunch or loops & right in the heart of the city too! Pretty awesome 👏🏼
mrpercussive Hahha yeah that was actually awesome having you guys in there live while it was premiering 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😂💯 Thanks for making it lively & fun to watch for what would have been my 100th time.. lol
What camera and mount you guys use to record this video? Video is very stable I’m trying to record my rides, any tips for recording would be appreciated!
Must be the first time you’ve seen my channel~ but I’ve been fully committed to the Full Face Helmet & been using zip ties to mount the GoPro to my chin.. the head is a natural gimbal & with hyper smooth now it’s the only way I’ll ride/record 👍🏼
Hey you have made a video a few months ago where you tested the Rock Shox super deluxe select + air and the ultimate air. Do you think its worth upgrading from the select + to the ultimate? Is there so much difference? Or whats exactly the difference? Would be nice if you could help me. Very good videos btw👍💪🏻
Lukas Blümel Hey so it’s definitely a nice difference if you are keeping the stock shock link.. I recently put a Cascade Link on which increased the travel from 160 - 166 and it made the bike feel much smoother and more plush! I’d maybe recommend trying the link if you want to save money on the upgrade~ it’s about the same as a new shock or less and it’s more beneficial and noticeable then just going from the Select+ to the Ultimate air shock.. If you like the way your bike feels now but just want more of a subtle dampening change then maybe the Ultimate air shock is the better option then the Cascade link. Either way it comes down to the specific rider and their needs & not everyone feels the same differences Hope this helps 🙌🏻
Stoked to see my neighborhood trails! If you visit the city to ride please know that there are temporary restrictions on the city trail system due to the pandemic. Most notably - All trails in the Laguna Honda complex are closed (to everyone) and Upper Historic trail (above Medical Center Way) on Mt Sutro is uphill traffic only. That said - there is so much more if you link it up just right, happy to give a tour anytime! Thanks - TMax
Tom Max Awesome 👏🏼 Thanks for your comment! All very good info as it’s hard to know or come by all the trail info! Pretty interesting terrain for sure, between some tech roots, mud, and some smooth flow! I’m sure without the Fog there’s some pretty amazing views to be had also. Definitely will have to go back again when things calm down & get better to see more of what SF has to offer MTB wise👌🏼😎
Great ride! Thanks for posting!
