It's interesting with the tunings I've seen people cover the songs with so far. I thought everything was in Double Drop D or D# like some of the others songs on the album, but yours also sounds pretty accurate too. Harder to tell tuned so low haha.
@@cyntec1337 I wonder if they're using digital pitchshifting live or they swap guitars a lot? I know IV swaps in a Strat style guitar for the funk outro on The Summoning. I do see him use several guitars live including that 8-string Meshuggah sig. Since they are purely digital (Quad, Kemper, Axe, who knows) it would make sense to just pitchshift for a half or whole step for the odd song, as long as the latency was low enough. Thoughts?
@@sorashima I think they do use pitch shifting during their sets. When I saw them live IV was using a Jackson 8 String Multiscale for the most part except for the end of The Summoning like you said and for The Offering he switched to a Gretsch Baritone. In my case the Ibanez is a 28" Baritone tuned to Drop E and I'm using the pitch shifter in the Quad Cortex ✌🏻
I'm going to assume it's all pitch shifted as Jackson did a video recently where IV's tech said all the 8 strings were in double drop E, so E,A,E,A,D,G,B,E
Quick question about the tuning, I'm a newbie so bear with me.. When you mean double drop C is an octave lower from the original drop C? If so, how do you get so low? Pedal or a specific gauge of strings? if it's strings, could you let me know which gauge you're using? I want to learn these songs too, and you are the neatest one doing them justice. Keep on with these amasing covers! \m/
My favorite song on the album, you do the best covers
Thank you!
THE PRODUCTION 🥵🥵🥵
Those are some thick stings.. My personal favourite thing in metal for over 20 years now

I agree. They change tunings quite a lot and in this register it's hard to tell if it's a half step higher or lower...
Anyway, thank you 😅✌🏻

6 strings? 😮 Tuning?
The guitar is a 28" Baritone in Drop E. I used the pitch shifter in the Quad Cortex to get down to Drop C ✌🏻
i thought ths was in drop C , because of the C harmonc key lol but than it's double drop lol like fml so low.
Yea it’s in double drop C
