I noticed that I am purging in my 1st week of using it. It is my first time using benzol peroxide.

Hi, thank you for these informations and for your time. I have small questions about using panoxyl cream wash
    - When should I use it ? Morning, before going to bed or any time?
    - I am using another face wash , should I stop use it? Or it is okay?
    - currently I use Acretin (before going to sleep) for my acne , at the morning I wash my face with my face wash then I apply Avocin to my face.. the question now , can I use panoxyl with this routine or not?
    Thanks

      Hello :)
Where did you get these treatments? Usually, they are prescripted by a doctor/dermatologist. And I am unsure if combining it with the benzoyl Peroxide cleanser is a good idea since it may become overly dry. Suppose you are in medical treatment by a doctor; I advise you to ask him to see what he thinks.

Hi Melissa! Thank you for all the insight! I’m looking into using the 4% to clear some stubborn neck acne. How would you recommend to incorporate PanOxyl with my routine and my other actives? Also do you recommend using snail mucin essence before or after PC’s BHA?
I have oily sensitive acne prone skin
    Morning:
    Cerave gentle cleanser
    CosRx Snail mucin
    Goodal Vita C
    Neutrogena Hydro boost moisturizer
    La roshe tinted mineral sunscreen
    Night:
Double cleanse with ordinary squalene cleanser and gentle cleanser
    Snail mucin
    Rotating PC’s BHA/PC’s .3% retinol
    Neutrogena hydro boost moisturizer

      Hello :)
Do you have an idea what's causing your neck acne? 🤔
I assume you're referring to the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser. If so, I'd recommend switching to the CeraVe Foaming Cleanser, otherwise you might see an increase in pimples.
As for the choice between snail mucin or the hydro boost gel moisturizer, both serve similar purposes.
I would use it like this:
      Morning:
      Panoxyl Cleanser
(Optional) Goodal Vita C (sometimes these formulations cause more clogged pores, the reason isn't always clear)
Layer either snail mucin or Neutrogena Hydro Boost underneath, or simply use the sunscreen by itself if you'll be exposed to the sun.
      La Roche-Posay Tinted Mineral Sunscreen
      Night:
Use The Ordinary Squalene Cleanser alone, or followed by the CeraVe Foaming Cleanser (if you're doing this in the shower, the Squalene Cleanser will likely be enough, as you can properly rinse it off with warm water).
      Pat the skin dry
Rotate between Paula's Choice BHA and Paula's Choice 0.3% Retinol
Finish with either the snail mucin or the Neutrogena Hydro Boost moisturizer, or you can leave it as it is. I've had a better experience when I don't apply anything else afterward, but it's something you'll need to test for yourself.
      I hope this helps you!

@@timmyle9889 Well, yes, I also tried the non-fragrant detergent, and guess what? I have had more issues with that formulation than with my other one, so I changed back to a good quality detergent that contains it. I had the same experience with the dishwashing detergent; it was eco-friendly, but so aggressive that it bleached and stained my kitchen gadgets. I think that often these formulations can be very aggressive and could potentially be an issue. But yes, if it does not touch your neck, it could also simply be sweat, hormones, food, genetics, etc. I mean, there are so many factors to consider, making it hard to figure out. Sometimes I think the best solution would be living in the forest on its own, growing its own food for several months away from society, to see if that would make a difference. I assume the lifestyle factors or overall food quality are responsible for the acne that most of us have.
You can technically put the snail mucin right after the BHA, but I, for example, just use the BHA on its own and leave it as it is. But when I do sometimes use it, I give it a couple of minutes so that the BHA has enough time to penetrate the skin.

I started using PanOxyl with hopes that the bumps on my skin would go away. I have oily acne-prone skin. Do you think its okay if i use COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid as well as their AHA/BHA Clarifying toner after cleansing my face with PanOxyl or would it be too harsh for my skin? If yes, how should the sequence be? Toner first then the blackhead power liquid? Thank you for taking your time to read! ❤️

      Hey! :)
Well, Benzoyl Peroxide also exfoliates the skin, so it could work with the Panoxyl Cleanser too. Otherwise, use a Gentle/Regular Cleanser when not having active acne and look for a BHA (Salicylic Acid) or an AHA/BHA mixture Exfoliant instead.
I'm unsure how well COSRX Exfoliating Acid AHA/BHA Toner or BHA Exfoliant work based on the pH and 'type' of Salicylic Acid they are using. You can try it and let me know, or look into Geek & Gorgeous, The Ordinary or Paula's Choice instead :)

Well, you need to figure out why you get acne, like what's triggering it. If you can change that, you can get your acne under control. If not, it will always come back. If it's hormonal or even through genetics, it may change with age.
Still, Benzoyl Peroxide can help to reduce it but don't forget, it's a treatment, not a cure. So, depending on what's causing your acne, it can come back but way less.

I haven't tried that much for my back and chest since I used to just get acne on my face but ever since not taking the pill anymore, I get acne on my chest and back as well. Those dark spots need quite a long time to fade. I have tried using an Oil like Rosehip Seed Oil or The Ordinary B-Oil. In the beginning I thought that it would do something but now I just think that it was a coincidence.

      Hey! :)
I'm happy to hear that you have already seen improvements while using BP.
Yes, I'm using Benzoyl Peroxide regularly at least once per day. I just skip it when my skin feels too dry or a bit irritated because I like the combination of BP and Differin (however, it can cause dryness and sometimes sensitivity). Still I am also trying lots of different products every day.
Yes, I am aware of that BP can potentially cause free radicals which could lead to premature aging. I recommend looking into an antioxidant serum like Paula's Choice Berry Serum (just an example) that could help you to balance your skin. Otherwise, you may want to give Salicylic Acid a try in the future. Although for me, BP works the best.
You can use BP and Granactive Retinoid in the same routine or you can use BP in the AM and Gentle Cleanser + Granactive Retinoid in the PM. See what works best for you.
You can use BP in the AM and Gentle Cleanser + Peeling Solution in the PM, that's fine. Just keep in mind to use the Peeling Solution only once per week or even less often.
As for hydration, you can also look into a hydrating toner or essence + light moisturiser.

This depends on your skin tolerance and needs. If you're not using the BP cleanser, opt for a non-treatment/non-exfoliating acid cleanser instead. You can choose either CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser if you have dry skin or CeraVe Foaming Cleanser if you have oily skin. Alternatively, you can simply wash your face with water and skip using a cleanser altogether.

Depending on how stubborn your sunscreen may be, you can use an Oil or Balm Cleanser (like The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser) at first and then follow with your BP Cleanser. Or use a Daily Gentle Cleanser (like CeraVe or Cetaphil) if your sunscreen comes easily off and then follow with your BP Cleanser.

You can try either one of them-it really depends on how your skin responds. My skin tends to do better with Benzoyl Peroxide. However, I also recommend looking into the root cause of your acne in the butt/hip area. What type of fabric is your underwear made of? Is it the right size? Is it breathable? Do you wash your underwear regularly? Do you shower daily? Alternatively, it could be the washing detergent you use or something you eat or drink regularly.

What do you call a healthy diet? I thought my diet was healthy too.
Processed food, fast food, wheat (grass-based products) like bread, and foods and drinks that contain added sugar aren't good for our body and skin, and they can cause multiple problems, including acne. Basically, eating whole foods that do not come with an ingredients list is healthier. Additionally, you may react to your detergent-it doesn't matter if your whole family uses it (the same applies to food) if your body reacts to it.

      Hey! :)
Benzoyl Peroxide is an acne treatment, so it's great for pimples (whiteheads)/acne in general!
As for your blackheads, I think it's best to get them extracted with a tool (or DIY at home) and then maintain them with your Salicylic Acid or Benzoyl Peroxide cleanser.
I recommend choosing the 4%. Also, as I've mentioned in the video, it's fine to use the BP cleanser only when and where you get acne; you do not need to use it all over.
Yes, you can follow with your CeraVe moisturizer afterwards, although I recommend just using a moisturiser if you have dry skin or experience dryness over time. Again, you do not need to use the moisturizer all over. Alternatively, you could use a hydrating toner or serum instead, as they help to hydrate the skin but don't feel heavy on the skin :)

Using a benzoyl peroxide product like PanOxyl 4% can make your skin more sensitive to the sun, as benzoyl peroxide is known to cause photosensitivity. This effect does not disappear overnight. It will not entirely stop your acne; it is an acne treatment, not a cure. If you do not figure out the cause of your acne, it will likely come back (forever) or may get much less as you get older because hormones may change and other "things" in your body.

Well, I cannot tell you if it helps for you, but for me, it works great on my acne, and it should also work for closed comedones.
