Great to see you, Erin! I'm glad you all enjoyed your holidays. I enjoyed mine as well. Looking forward to seeing what 2025 will bring! Love seeing the ranch life thru your eyes! Have a safe and great weekend!
So nice to see you again! I'll bet TH-cam has some videos about how to use the hay nets. If you get a chance, check it out. Also nice to see a lot of the animals again. They look like they are wintering well so far. Getting excited for calving season. Say Hi to Jeff!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Wishing you and your family the best. Have to think the cows are saying, she takes the net wrap off then puts it back on again. Humans, who knows what they are thinking 🤔.
Hi Erin & family,I love all the videos you share. You are doing such a wonderful job on your ranch.I so admire your determination!Have a wonderful weekend & week ahead.❤
Can you imagine Noah sending animals off the ark 😊. “No you can’t come back in go outside and try it, it’s beautiful “, “give it a chance it suppose to feel that way and yes that is the way fresh air smells, keep going.”😊 “
I can’t believe that you do not have more snow there in Wyoming. Here in Little Rock, AR we just had 10” of snow and a very wet snow at that! I’m sure that your snows are a much drier snow that we just received. BTW….how is Bean doing?
Your animals are so entertaining! Thanks for bringing us up close among them. Your dedication to them is heartwarming. Stay warm and safe during the blizzard OWL.
Are you sure that isn't closer to a 6 foot roll? My experience with 5' rolls is with them being 4' when measured from flat side to flat side. I personally love Hay Chix nets the best. It will be interesting to see how it does with the goats, I've only used nets with horses.
Hope you get the moisture you need for a better haying season. Its always nice to see some sun even if its cold out. Best wishes to the success of your ranch in 2025!
She has mentioned it before that is is part of the Harvest Host experience in such that when there is a tour of the ranch these gateway critters cause interest in ranching and farming. It allows people to connect to things generally one doesn't in normal day to day city life....Plus she likes them!
It doesn't taste like hay? Lol! I use one for my horses, and they just work on pulling the hay through the holes. I don't have goats, so it will be interesting to see how the nets holds up with the smaller animals.
Conversing hay? For a while there, I thought I was going to be eavesdropping on an intimate conversation between you and a round bale. Oh…OH: you meant CONSERVING! Well, that puts a different slant on things…😂
A little squirrely? Did I just hear you use the word squirrely Erin lol? Is going to be interesting to follow along with your second generation net wrapping experiment too. How many inches above the ground will the bottom of the net wrap end up so the animals have good food access while minimizing bale waste? Nice to hear that you and your children have had a very enjoyable Holiday Season, as you stand out in the cold as you close out this video! Stay Warm and Be Safe always! -Bob...
My mum lived on a sheep station in Australia and she had emus for her pets.always said emus make the best pets but don’t wear anything shiny on you otherwise they will peck at you until they get it.
Those hay nets are super annoying, I don’t think the companies actually know how to size for hay bales. Bought one for 4x5 bales and it didn’t fit even when it was eaten down to a 4x4 bale.
Hay chix hay nets been using them for 15 yrs sure saves hay . You need 5x6 net. Net should go alt the way around bale even the bottom. We use in a bale ring great video
Why do you put bales on end. We were always told to lay then on side for water run off. Helps prevent moldy hay. My round bale lasts about 10-14 days.😊
It looks like she stores them on their sides. I've always fed my round bales on end. I'm sure it's just personal preference. There isn't much moisture in Wyoming. I'm sure she doesn't have to worry about mold.
@Navet63 I remember her saying in a video that she had a decent amount of pork in the freezers still. She wasn't going to get more pigs until she got some o if it sold. Erin also mentioned that it's harder to have pigs in the colder months because they eat so much more feed trying to stay warm.
Hey Karen Oh yeah, still in the hospital? So a lot of her been missing a lot of your shoals, and we should watch them all the time, but they're having trouble doing that. You hang in there and I'll do the same. I've been in here since December. And I'm not leaving so Bye now

Happy years to everyone and may 2025 be a better one. Erin you’re doing a wonderful job. Keep it up!❤
Hi Erin….Here in Ohio..one day we had 1 foot and the other day we had another 6 inches of snow.
I can’t believe that you do not have more snow there in Wyoming. Here in Little Rock, AR we just had 10” of snow and a very wet snow at that! I’m sure that your snows are a much drier snow that we just received. BTW….how is Bean doing?

Glad you had a great Christmas. Family is everything. ❤

Beautiful blue skies there.
I think conserving hay through use of a net or something else is a good idea. A lot of waste of hay happens.
You could do some cooking videos
I watch a series called Pony Tales and they use they hay nets in the stalls and outside like you are trying. Cindy might give you some helpful tips.
It was just all over came from Canada through North, South, east heavy snowstorms and bad news weather 😮😮
Looks like it’s made for a 4x5 bale and you have a 5x5
Hope you get the moisture you need for a better haying season. Its always nice to see some sun even if its cold out. Best wishes to the success of your ranch in 2025!
Erin your doing a great job! The Animals look cozy and happy! Happy New Year!
Why do you have a petting zoo?

What keeps animals from eating the net.😊

FLIP THE BALE...THEY CANT GET TO TOP
Most of the animals can't reach the top. They are little goats and donkeys.
I miss you Erin need to make more videos

Erin, do you no longer have pigs? Hoping for a joy-filled and prosperous 2025.
