Mike, even doing the same chores every day is different. The behavior of your animals, how you react to them, how they react to what you are doing, every day is unique.
Mike, you are amazing. The way you let Matt help out and for him to do it brought tears to my eyes. And the air B and B guest. I smiled thru this whole video. My parents will be married 70 years in August. Would love to bring them out there . My daddy would love that . Much respect to you
Doesn't look like a boring day to me at all. Something is always going on, planned or unplanned. So glad you are connecting with other farmers/ranchers. You're helping more people than you know. Thanks for sharing your Saturday!
So glad you didn't skip today. Some of us are not bothered watching the silly super bowl and would much rather spend the day with you and your animals. Thank you Erin for saying something.
Thank You Mike and Matt for an AWESOME Saturday video! It doesn't matter what day it is there is ALWAYS something to do, feed, fix, move, etc, etc,! Thanks for letting us join you in what you both are up to!! I am from Minnesota, so it was cool to see a couple from Minnesota enjoying a look around the ranch, and their stay at the airbnb! Happy Anniversary you two! Thanks again Mike! Stay safe, healthy and happy! HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE! 💗💕💓
Mike, do you realize that after scrubbing the eggs & letting them dry, if you put a light coating of mineral oil on them you can store them for 10-12 months in a cool dry place "without" refrigeration & they will stay fresh ? When you wash them, you wash off the natural coating from the hen. The mineral oil replaces that coating & seals the pores in the shell keeping out any bacteria. Have a great day 😊.
@@OurWyomingLife people could experience exactly where there eggs come from if you leave a little on them with a feather stuck to it...granny use to say "now those are fresh"!
Kinda remember that the USA might be the only country that washes their eggs. In Europe they do not wash eggs and do not have to refrigerate them due to that. Last just as long as washed eggs.
Matt, thank you for being a Ranch hand. It's truly nice to see you engage in many different aspects of ranching. Bambi, thank you for being so well-behaved, cause my Holsteins would be "knuckle heads" and be long gone!!
Thanks for saying that Laura. All though I dont consider myself one. For me it like here are a few jobs for you to do. LOL Besides if I'm busy I'm not asking a bunch of questions of Mike and Erin! Im sure their ears welcome the rest!
I appreciate the help I get from Bean. The steers are really pushy as they have gotten older, and heavier. She provides a great distraction, and thus far I havent had what Id say would be a close call.
I really enjoy traveling, via youtube, to Wyoming. I have never been there. To witness the lifestyle and weather of that area is more interesting than you may realize. The realities are not so real in a book. I am 69 years old, retired, and living in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. It is beautiful here with the Blue Ridge mountains. Thank you for taking time to share.
I love to watch you interact with the animals, you do not need to talk. I love to see the chickens and goats too. God bless you, praying for snow for you all.
My wife had a chicken hawk get one of our young hens, saw it get the hen a week ago, also saw 3 eagles flying over our little patch of land, no hens were harmed during the flyover. Bean is such a sweet heart and a bouncing bean, both at the same time. We had a cow several years ago that could be the twin of Bambi, we named her Lily, just as tame and sweet as her. Matt is such a great guy, funny man too, keep up the spirit and stay safe, bless you. Hope you all have a great week.
Awesome video….different than others but very enjoyable. Nice to see Bean enjoying her new bed. 😀 Family plus Matt enjoy the Super Bowl and have a great week.
Matt I think your thriving on the farm.So glad you and Mike met. This farming will keep you going Sure animals love you, when they see you coming with their food.God Bless you Matt.
Thanks Mike for letting us spend a Saturday with you even though it's Sunday Super Bowl Sunday go Rams glad to see you still have your friends on the farm and that's pretty cool having some Farmer's Day in your rbb house have a great Sunday God bless you and your family and God bless the farm
I have you guys "subscribed" but I never get updates. I suddenly remembered you and tuned in, and I'm glad I did! Wish you well, hope you'll be around a long time!
But I suppose the new viewers also watch all the old videos so they are seeing things many times over as well. But hey I’m like you, even if I see things in videos that are similar to things I’ve seen a few times before I’m still very interested and I still really enjoy them.
I agree! He can film the same things over and over and it would never grow old for me! Love being a part of it even if it is through the lens of a camera. When Mike builds things by repurposing things around the ranch...that is my favorite part!
Thank you for posting another video.. I look forward to you and Erin's life.. Thank you for allowing us into your life.. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY 💝 💓 💖 💗 💛
Great video and it gives you the whole week not to have to think "camera". I give you credit for doing it at all. We all out here in youtube land enjoy seeing the good and the bad of your lives because it is "real life" and makes a connection to other of God's children making it day to day in this life. And for those of us who were raised on farms, it brings back many memories. God Bless.
Good job Mike. I know it takes a lot. Matt seems to have a great Sense of Humor with things so great of him to want to help a friend despite his Limited Mobility. Got to appreciate that. Thank u for sharing another part of ur Journey!
Morning Mike, I'm glad you took a break from the camera, you deserve it, 🐦. Im glad you have company with Bean and Matt👍. Isn't that crazy that the Eagle returned, "no Chickens for you 😝". Have a good weekend 👊. JO JO IN VT 💕😄☃
Watched your live stream the other day. Had my wife watch it to. We have decided to start finishing our own steers instead of sending them to auction. We have dates set already for processing. The first steers will be sold in quarters and halves. Thanks for the inspiration.
Loved this video. The quiet time with A team was good, but just the quiet outdoor noises would have made it great. Have a great time watching the Superbowl.
It blows my mind that we live in a age where I can lay down being sick somewhere in Serbia while watching a video on a phone about farm live in Wyoming. Cheers to you and your family! If I ever have the opportunity to travel to the US, it would probably be to states like Wyoming or Tennessee and not because of NYC and LA
I am so impressed by Matt. Years back i had 2 knee replacements. Dr tried to even my legs out which affected my s-i joint. It has pretty much disabled me. Matt gives me inspiration.
Great video again!! I look forward to your Sunday am show!! Matt is a great help also. Love your life I know it's a lot of work. Always loved out west!! Joe
Here is a thought for feeding the steers, take the top half of the wall Your reaching over and hinge it put boards across from side to side cut between them and hinge it and use some latches to keep the wall up.

Bean is ready to play. Not sure the steers know what to think or how to play Bean style. Got a good chuckle. You ALL have a good day and happy Valentine's day to you ALL. GOD BLESS.
Great video! Love "A In The Day Of". Bean looks so much more comfortable and confident on her mat. Speaking of Matt, great to see him doing chores, stretching his abilities and not moaning about the limitations. His upbeat, quirky humor has me giggling. BTW, Matt, my hair is natural, streaked with blonde or what some people call gray. Mike, I feel you stress. Keep doing what you can do, it will work out. Gold Shaw Farm, a goose, duck, chicken and Highland cow small farm in Vermont did a good video very recently on huge beef producers and processors; you might want to take a look.
Thanks Fran, I must admit that somedays Im just beat, but It feels good to get some work done and feel like I'm contributing, and earning the excellent dinners Erin makes! I so regret that whole hair color comment.

Erin and mike, I’m still devastated by the loss of most of the ranch that y’all will have. Matt is an unbelievably excellent asset to the ranch and I’ve still been balling 😢 a lot since the news. Take care.
I am in such awe of Matt’s willingness and drive to do things that must be a bit scary for him at times. I, too, have MS, and I know how much easier it is to just avoid the tasks that I know are going to be difficult. Fortunately for the ranch, Matt just keeps on keeping on. My family is participating in a MS walk next weekend (March 19) in the Woodlands just outside of Houston, TX. We have decided I am better off using a wheelchair because even with my walker, three miles is a bit of a risk. My kids are all 30+, and sometimes they tend to band together in making decisions they feel are in my best interest. That is ok. I am sure about halfway through the “walk” I will appreciate the wheelchair. Again, kudos to Matt for not allowing his condition to keep him from doing the things he loves.
The pigs didn’t seem to like the scraps lol… reminds my of my friend he had some turkeys he was feeding up for Christmas he got scraps of fruit cakes from a local large scale bakery…. The Turkeys tasted a bit of fruit cake….. Matt is a hero for getting on with it condition and all
Glad your friend is willing despite MS & cane is willing to try. I don’t have MS but due to a bad knee surgery I have a cane I keep on trying have had to slow down due to needing a shoulder joint replaced but it’s all ok
I am glad you get time throughout your day to spend some time with the family. I am a big believer in family. I know this will be way early for Christmas but just thought I would mention a Christmas memory of mine. My mom (like most moms probably) would buy the Christmas presents for us kids and then tell my dad what she got, well on Christmas there were a couple presents wrapped under the tree that mom didn't know about and they didn't have tags on them. My dad had put each kids initial on the wrapping paper. We unwrapped that gift and on my sisters it had a hand written clue as to where to go and find the next set of gifts. The next go round my gift was the one with the clue on it. I think he did 4 or 5 gifts each for me and my sister (nothing very expensive but that wasn't what mattered to us) The last one had a clue to where we could find something for mom. He had bought her a really pretty outfit (and even got the size correct) I guess one reason why that memory really stuck with me is that my dad did it all on his own without even telling mom about it. I don't remember how old I was besides preteen and I am now 50 and I still have a couple of the gifts he got me. An earring elephant (the elephant figurine has holes in it's ears to hold earrings) and a tiny Siamese cat figurine. The reason I am sharing this is just to maybe give other parents the idea... and like I said before it doesn't have to be anything that cost a lot of money it is the fact that he took the time to go pick the things out, wrap them, write out the clues to the hiding places, and hide them all without telling mom and then the really nice gift for mom.
Haha! I had a cow get out the other day too! Yes it help if you shut gates behind you, learned that the hard way 😑 luckily, while I was at work, my son was there to watch him until my dad was able to put him back in. Fun times!
Good info Larry Parish. If I ever have to deal with eggs I will coat them with mineral oil. Store 10 to 12 months and don’t need refrigeration. That’s good to know. Thanx Larry!!

My mother in-law used to put cold water down in the sink , put a little baking soda and a little vinegar in the water. Set the eggs and they would come out so clean. Just a different way of thinking. You all have a great day.
You know its actually really nice to just follow around for the day.
