Such a masterpiece. The Location ( Landscape) is everything to me, I Love this house. Kudos to @The Local Project for always showing such beautiful houses
Classic yuppie making the countryside less accessible by driving cost up thus changing the culture of the region. That said, well articulated and beautiful space - I’ll take 3.
This probably won't be seen or read by many people, but oh well. I'm a 2nd year Real Estate student, and planning to do a masters in City Planning & Spatial Design, as well as masters in Project Dev. This channel really inspires me to work with some of the greatest architects and achieve amazing designs that last a lifetime.
I would also encourage you to check 20 x 40 design workshop., really good videos from an architect builder. Many great channels on YT for your viewing pleasure and education.
ngl this channel is better than architectural digest. like the videos in this channel just makes me ponder and rethink my whole life, and pressures me more with my future.
Wow! Just wow! The breathtaking mountain view are the star of this home! Perfect location, beautiful scenery, love the wild nature, All I can say is that, It's just stunning! Love all the details of this home - the interiors, the nature, the breathtaking view, everything! Love it all! Thank you Local Project for this special home! Really inspired & motivated to live in this home! 😎🥰💖
I stayed probably less than a mile away from this incredible house when I went to Yellowstone in 2017. I don’t think the architect emphasizes just how much wildlife there is in the surrounding area well enough. I sat (in a jacuzzi 😌) with a pair of cheap binoculars scanning over the expanse for like 2 hours straight and ill never forget how blown away I was by the sheer amount of large animals I saw. I’m talking dozens.
@@Hermes_Agoraeus Right? I think rich ppl don't really get the meaning of true preservation. I've watched this other video yesterday presenting a house built inside a forest. Can we measure the impact of that just because someone wants to look at the trees through the windows?
I'm a little confused about why you watch this video, assuming you're subscribed. Mostly because I imagine most of the high-end/rich designs on this channel fall into less suatinable/preservative, but it's a keynote of a lot of design these days. Free speech/free to do what you want, just curious if you even enjoy the video/design, lol and if you don't what motivates you to watch?
@@solmas2111 well I watch all the videos from this channel and enjoy them thoroughly but that doesn't keep me from thinking critically. I think that's very natural. Talking about this video in particular I didn't even criticize the building itself it's footprint or the materials used. I criticized the landscaping which to me is just wasted opportunity to trully preserve the surrounding environment
I know this isn’t a home tour channel. And I don’t need to see every closet or drawer, however, I would like to see more of the interior of the homes on these videos. Every time I feel like that aspect is lacking. It helps get a better sense of the space and the design.
So in love with this. It would be so useful to know the price range for building this type of project, so we have an idea how much we need to save up. Even a range (e.g. $5-$7M vs. $20-$25) would be super informative.
Got around overhangs on the inside stair. The house is a relief from the houses with eaves. Better to view up and out of the windows to the mountainsides.
I really love the stairs! Great house. However, Local Project, for this video, the editing is waaaaay too fast. It’s very tiring. We don’t have the time to see, it seems too rushed. I almost dropped the video because of that :O
It looks like an office rather than a home. Like every wall and floor is complete and would be ruined by artwork or rugs you might like to bring in. I’d like this as an office to go to but wouldn’t want to live in it.
Everything is great except the shot duration is short, the main object of the shot zip around the frame in between cuts makes me have to find where the main focus is. The shot size is not used correctly, some are too wide, some are too narrow. Some shot just shouldn't be in the video. It is hard for us to understand what are you trying to show.
the local project is a triannual publication with a youtube channel, not the other way around. the videos exist as a brief look at homes that are featured in said publication. instead of complaining about the pacing of their videos, i'd suggest reading their articles that are available for free on the website at your own leisure.
A cabin? Yes - to the tax dodging heir from the Walton estate needing a 10th vacation home. No worries - that US housing shortage is only for the unwashed who are not welcome at this now private spring creek. When I see this stuff, I see a Democracy in rapid decline into a banana republic with 1% having it all and not even crumbs trickling down. Hopefully a wildfire liberates that land and returns it to nature and the public!
cool house. terrible execution. place is an elitist dump. a place for the rich to live and or visit their third home one and blue moon. preserving the land scape would be not building at all.

As a composer, I am highly inspired by this channel. This place and these homes came to me as a big deep breath.. I'm glad I have found your videos
I don't understand the man's desire to be domesticated and settled in the house. That's why women are like that
The leather - a special touch. Beautiful and thoughtful design. Stunning home.
The audio mix and background music are perfect for the pace and the imagery. Congrats at this new higher level.
B roll is phenomenal. Production quality too notch.
Such a masterpiece. The Location ( Landscape) is everything to me, I Love this house. Kudos to @The Local Project for always showing such beautiful houses
What a wonderful home and beautiful location. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Just architecturally beautiful along with the landscape design. You captured the light. I would love to see this house in winter.
I think you're using the definition of "cabin" wrong.
Yeah. Pretentious.
😂 yes. Absolutely.
And “remote”…it’s literally in a subdivision.
Maybe mixing up cabin and mansion?
Classic yuppie making the countryside less accessible by driving cost up thus changing the culture of the region. That said, well articulated and beautiful space - I’ll take 3.
The best design I have ever seen. Elegant & cozy!
North America is so beautiful!!
The designer enunciates his R's and that my dear is another beautiful thing.
Not as contaminated
Let's get real North America 'was' so beautiful.
What a beautiful house! I love it so much!
Just absolutely spectacular. Brilliant design features. Well done, all!! Lovely editing, The Local Project!!!

@@livingobject Thank you :)
Best home ive seen in my life
High praise indeed 🙌
The way this man talks about his home is beautiful. Not sure what the right word but nonetheless beautiful home, pray that one day I can own a home
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing it! I think this is my favorite design on this channel now.
ngl this channel is better than architectural digest. like the videos in this channel just makes me ponder and rethink my whole life, and pressures me more with my future.
Beautiful home, I love it!
Sublime! Intentional and balanced human integration of light & materiality in a most scenic place in time.
It´s simply amazing. Great project indeed. Congrats.

Expose the stitch on the handrail - so cool! ⚾

Heavy barndominium vibes. Love this.
He talks about preservation of habitat then the overview shows lots of golf fields wich means deforestation lol
Yeah, I thought that took a lot of nerve, too. (And don't forget the fertilizer runoff into the ponds.)
@@Hermes_Agoraeus Right? I think rich ppl don't really get the meaning of true preservation. I've watched this other video yesterday presenting a house built inside a forest. Can we measure the impact of that just because someone wants to look at the trees through the windows?

That golf course wild life
Beautiful home and location.
Concrete floored shed and barn overlooking golf course.
I wouldnt describe it as "remote" or a "cabin".
Really beautifully done
Wonderful ! 🤩 Loving these videos 🎉

Nice design😊😊
I'm left wondering how the place looks in midwinter.
So in love with this. It would be so useful to know the price range for building this type of project, so we have an idea how much we need to save up. Even a range (e.g. $5-$7M vs. $20-$25) would be super informative.
so deeply inspiring.
Another house that looks like you get in trouble if you have your shoes on in the house😂
Thought that was south island of New Zealand until I saw that fox!
Totally thought central otago lol
Cool home!
Lovely videos, always enjoy them but can you take a look at the levels on the music? The mixing seems off on this video and the previous one.
Imagine living all the way out there in nature only to have neighbors' houses 15 feet from your house
Always good to have people around.
Beautiful.
i love it :D
Don’t they need someone to mop the roof and clean exterior walls daily? I’m available- I’m happy to use the guest room 😂😂
Stunning home
Spectacular. But I have to admit, I needed my dictionary to follow his vocabulary skill. Apparently he paid attention in class.
"the subtractive moves that we make" means...? That the exterior has apertures in it for light to enter?
Beauty
Got around overhangs on the inside stair. The house is a relief from the houses with eaves. Better to view up and out of the windows to the mountainsides.
Imagine building a house out there in the wild, only to comply with a home owners association
The perfect house for me is no neighbours, no HOA
Great video, what' the song at 1:35 ?
It's vineyard - Waes Hael
It's quite unusual to integrate leather and in such detail into the handrail.
Nice home, but it's a large, luxury ski resort home in a golf course HOA community...not exactly what I would call a remote cabin
I really love the stairs! Great house.

So beauti
We can really see a kind of lifestyle with a breathtaking natural beauty.🤎🤎
The leather parts killed it for me
Looks like a Crowne Plaza.
that's not a cabin, that is a full blown house.
what is the price??
There's a dilemma here. When you vacation, how hard must it be to find a place comparable to your own home?
... and how much it costs to buy this "cabin"?
I hear: money money money money money money money money. LOL
It must cost a fortune to heat up the space in the winter, with all the glass (is it at least 3 pane?) and the high ceilings....
🥰🥰🥰
Rapid editing. Too fast. Nice house, beautiful setting.
Agree. Looks like a real estate video.
Idk I feel like all that wildlife would be crowding my golf course
A gulf course masked as wildlife preserve?
0:56 Gotta love the chemtrail decorating the sky
Do I guet a free subscription by being such a good fan that I can tell here is used the same music as in the Armadale house by Rob Mills?🥰
Gorgeous example of gentrification.
those differences of drone and interior footages are really disturbing
🤤
It looks like an office rather than a home. Like every wall and floor is complete and would be ruined by artwork or rugs you might like to bring in. I’d like this as an office to go to but wouldn’t want to live in it.
Like Abba sang Money Money Money must be funny in a rich mans world
oh to be rich.

It’s too fast, too short and just rushed through like the rest of your videos. Why?
you can adjust the speed

Conserved parcels of land - on a golf course. Ha.
RAD
Nice video ruined by the loud & irritating music
