I can’t believe it’s been 10 years already this year was also my 10 year reunion of high school I graduated 2013. I remember when I saw this movie in theaters for the first time I was like holy shit this is on another level never seen a horror movie like this it gave me chills/goosebumps. I thought this was the coolest horror movie I had ever seen. Lmfao the second one is still my favorite though. 💙😁 especially because it said based on true story.

It, along with Dune (the book series), helped to establish and popularize the space fantasy genre.
I always think about how Annabelle was a Raggedy Ann doll in real life. She would've still been scary they didn't have to make her into a creepy porcelain doll. 😭
I love all of James Wan’s work, but this is by far still the best James Wan horror movie imo. The characters, the acting, the story, the terror and suspense, the filmmaking/cinematography, ect are so well-executed. It’s a timeless supernatural horror movie.
The Conjuring series is really incredible. Very atmospheric. Brilliantly acted. They're great. Including all the spin-offs. I fully recommend watching through all of them in order. My favorite part is the little bit of rest for both the characters and audiences. Those moments where the Warrens, their crew, and the family are all together in the house and it feels so safe. I think it was a brilliant move to do that because movies that just never let go of your throat for even a second can be hard to watch again. Like I love watching the Ring series because of Rachel and her son's bond, no matter how tiny those moments are but I cannot watch the Grudge series again. They made me depressed for a week with every sequel.
this is probably the best horror movie series like no one does it like them, one of the reason is they don't jumpscare you when you expect it but jumpscare literally the moment you feel safe, if you ever conjuring 2 you will find out even more

in reality, ed and lorriane never actually solved the problem, they just made it worse so roger kicked them out. the conjuring house remains haunted but dormant to this day. you guys should see sam and colby's video of them staying overnight in the conjuring house. they caught the little boy on thermal camera. they also spent a week at the house and those videos are dropping next week so we're bound to get even more content!!
I have been watching a lot of Michael's reactions lately and I must say he is so much fun to watch. He's very intelligent and grasps so many nuanced things, especially when he's watching Indian movies. Wanna see more of him. 💖💖
The daughter (who's family this movie is about) even wrote a book describing how really bad it was. It wasn't happy ending like in the movie - Warren came, tried to do cleansing but unfortunately it didn't do much. Also she said that the movie blame the witch for haunting, when in the reality she has really small connection with the house

So I have two dogs. When my friend’s puppy was safe enough to mingle with other dogs after all the vaccinations and stuff, we decided to do a playdate. My house is brand new built in 2010 and my family is the first people to live there, and we saw it getting built and stuff. My friend’s house is a family house that was gifted to her by her great Aunt, who passed away just a year ago. It was built in the 1940’s and her great Aunt lived there with her husband in the 1960’s. So they weren’t the first people to live in it. I live with my parents-because of this economy and I pay my share all the time- and i didn’t want our long chats to disturb my sister, brother, and grandpa. So, we decided to just do the play date in her house. I got my dogs ready and pulled up in her house with the dogs and new toys for her puppy. As soon as I got my dogs out of the car, they started howling and crying. They refused to even take a step inside the house. I managed to carry the smaller dog inside, but the bigger dog refused to even budge. I just got this weird feeling and I jokingly said to my friend: “Girl, your house must have ghosts in here. My dogs are scared out of their minds.” I started to laugh at my own lame joke, but my friend just turned ghostly white and stared at me. Apparently, her puppy howls every night and cry when she’s left alone for even one second. She thought she was just being clingy, but she was a different dog when she visited her sister’s house. The puppy was hyper, calm, and happy. My smaller dog turned around and started barking towards the hallway when nobody was there. Let’s just say, I told her to do a rain check for the play date and I left. We’re both history geeks and we both want to know what happened to the house before her Great Aunt lived in it. We don’t know where to start though. Does anyone know how to get records of people who lived in the house before? Like is there a specific place to go to? And sorry for the lengthy comment. 😅😂

A house from the 1940's is not that old. 1 or 2 people died in there MAX. (But probably none..) 9 out of 10 times there's a gas leak, black mold, or a CO buildup in the house for these behaviours that the dogs show.
Actually the story you are referring to Micheal, is the story of The Conjuring 2. At the end of the film, they even show that exact picture, which you are mentioning about.
This is my favorite movie from this franchise!! And when I watched it multiple times I still jumped when a ghost appear lol... Very interesting stories from both and now I want to watch the rest of the conjuring universe with you. Also the real Annabelle is less scary than this one but I'm pretty sure the vibes coming from her must be just as scared.

I remember when this movie came out. It seemed like the whole horror genre was on a decline and at a stand still.. until this movie was released and IMO brought life back into the genre. This movie did so well that you could tell how much it influenced the films that came after, even tho they couldn't hold a candle to this film. 10s across the board IMO. I think the conjuring (2013) is a modern classic in horror there's more than just jumpscares there's actual intense terrifying moments involving the family and the warrens.
This is only film in the whole Conjuring, Annabelle and The Nun universe that has the perfect storyline and buildup .Everything just makes perfect sense, introduction of Annabelle , the connection between them also relating conjuring 2 with the nun franchise . This film was the beginning of something that could possibly turn into something great but none of the other films really came close. James Wans amazing work gave the characters more life and reality.

The day my dad died I had to stay home alone that night and the room he died was scary but fear stayed till 2pm after that sleep took over..Also sleep paralysis is similar to ghost attack. I had it many times..

The Conjuring 1 is my favorite, my 2nd favourite is The Conjuring 2 and it is more fun to watch along with someone who knows like you guys! I watched The Conjuring 1 in the cinema alone, and there were only a few people including me in that showtime, the seats in my front, back, left & right were empty it almost feels like I'm alone in the hall throughout the whole movie, the experience was next level😂
10:32 This may've already been mentioned, but the haunting you're talking about here is in the second movie, and some of the pictures/recordings are shown in the credits. It's every bit as absorbing as this one, possibly a little more.
Fun fact: Joey King claims that the whole bruising on the mother thing actually happened to her. There's a isolation interview with Howard Stern that you can check out. TL;DR- She says she started experiencing bruising with no cause. She goes to makeup to get it covered up and they think she's pranking them, but they can't wipe it off. She goes to get checked and she's told she has a blood problem (can't remember if it was anemia or iron deficiency, it's been a while) and that she needs to go in for testing and treatment twice a day. She does that and when filming is wrapped up her case is transferred to her local hospital. When she's back home and goes in to be checked again, she has no issues or symptoms. She's completely healthy. She says that blood issues aren't in her family and she never had any issues before the film nor had she run into it since. Keep in mind she's a kid when this happened.

I had more of a connection to the characters in Part 2. Also I found it scarier and with better use of the camera and sound. This is still a really, really good horror.

Apparently, her puppy howls every night and cry when she’s left alone for even one second. She thought she was just being clingy, but she was a different dog when she visited her sister’s house. The puppy was hyper, calm, and happy. My smaller dog turned around and started barking towards the hallway when nobody was there. Let’s just say, I told her to do a rain check for the play date and I left. We’re both history geeks and we both want to know what happened to the house before her Great Aunt lived in it. We don’t know where to start though. Does anyone know how to get records of people who lived in the house before? Like is there a specific place to go to? And sorry for the lengthy comment. 😅😂

9 out of 10 times there's a gas leak, black mold, or a CO buildup in the house for these behaviours that the dogs show.

I remember when this movie came out. It seemed like the whole horror genre was on a decline and at a stand still.. until this movie was released and IMO brought life back into the genre. This movie did so well that you could tell how much it influenced the films that came after, even tho they couldn't hold a candle to this film. 10s across the board IMO. This is only film in the whole Conjuring, Annabelle and The Nun universe that has the perfect storyline and buildup .Everything just makes perfect sense, introduction of Annabelle , the connection between them also relating conjuring 2 with the nun franchise . This film was the beginning of something that could possibly turn into something great but none of the other films really came close. James Wans amazing work gave the characters more life and reality.

The day my dad died I had to stay home alone that night and the room he died was scary but fear stayed till 2pm after that sleep took over..Also sleep paralysis is similar to ghost attack. I had it many times..

I watched The Conjuring 1 in the cinema alone, and there were only a few people including me in that showtime, the seats in my front, back, left & right were empty it almost feels like I'm alone in the hall throughout the whole movie, the experience was next level😂

Fun fact: Joey King claims that the whole bruising on the mother thing actually happened to her. There's a isolation interview with Howard Stern that you can check out. TL;DR- She says she started experiencing bruising with no cause. She goes to makeup to get it covered up and they think she's pranking them, but they can't wipe it off. She goes to get checked and she's told she has a blood problem (can't remember if it was anemia or iron deficiency, it's been a while) and that she needs to go in for testing and treatment twice a day. She does that and when filming is wrapped up her case is transferred to her local hospital. When she's back home and goes in to be checked again, she has no issues or symptoms. She's completely healthy. She says that blood issues aren't in her family and she never had any issues before the film nor had she run into it since. Keep in mind she's a kid when this happened.

The Enfield haunting in England is the Conjuring 2 subject. Just so you know, the real story is much worse than this movie & the Perron family lived in that house for 10 years! There are tons of videos about the Real Conjuring House.
The levitation case your talking about isn’t this case, it’s the Enfield case in England which is what the 2nd movie is although they don’t include any levitation scenes for some reason
