    Those judgements are based on hindsight. Avoid attachment of outcome and embrace attachment of process.

      Is that how I stop not taking my profit targets and letting good trades go to breakeven or even into a loss?

    Ohh man.. this really hit home! 😅 happens to me almost everyday. Almost everytune I leave runners or positions to run longer. Price will always come back to tap me out then continue almost 3times further. Really annoyed me at first but ill got used to it now and I'm working on my greed and fear lot more 💪🏽

    I go through this all the time. Sometimes after I close a trade I do not check the market until a few hours after.

    An excellent way of looking at what you do in a positive way. Strangely, I heard a similar thought from a life guru and I am working on exactly what he said, and now I see how that fits in trading. You are the first advisor who gets the message over in a very uncomplicated way.
    I am subscribing today, as I move into more short term trading. Good job!

    One has to realize reflecting in hindsight is comparing yourself against perfection. It seems so easy and you feel dumb for not having made better decisions. However, the reality is, if you made any gains, and you can be consistent with this over a long period of time, you're crushing it.

    It's definitely key to remember that when a position changes so does the associated risk you're taking, along with the statement you're making of course. What a great video, definitely an invaluable skill to learn.

    Thank you man....great video. I think all of us have felt the pain of early closing...I just follow the principle that "the last one turn off the light" meaning that I sell when I get to my top estimate. If it gets lower to my selling position later in the week or month I analise and see if re-entry is justified.

    You absolutely nailed it! Fortunately I realized early that scaling out is a bad idea. It never felt right or sustainable long-term. Now I set a profit target based on reward to risk ratio. This way there are only two possible outcomes, 1. I get stopped out or 2. I get filled at my profit target. Either way I feel good about the trade because I did exactly what I set out to do. Just found your channel recently and I'm really enjoying the content!

    Had two pefect trades today and cut them both early because of not sticking to my trade plan. Left about $400 on the table despite me making over $600 today. Felt angry and empty after words but this video put things in perspective. Thank you. Sometimes you need to take a step back and look at the bigger picture.

    Negativity towards trading is definitely compensating for personal problems that a trader might be pushing away.. especially if trading is the vice being used to do this.

    In my line of work... If we make a mistake, we look at it... Nod our head and go to solve the next problem... Just continue... There is no time to be frustrated over mistakes It just stays there for a certain period of time... Like 5mins to a few days...
    Well, you need to get in it as mistakes are unavoidable, like 30% of yearly trading, or monthly... I don't know how it works, I lost my acc with 19 trades... Without knowing anything about trades...

    I think if traders are lucky enough to manage that 10% of the time they can come within 2% of a bottom or top upon entry or exiting a trade they should be thankful. It's just so rare it's irrational to expect it. Managing our emotions is at least as important as experiance and education.

    I am from india, did in indian stock market. thanks for telling me my mistake. I am grateful to you sir, and i want to add one more point that novice trader should talk to himself before taking trade, why? coz one has to follow once system in order to success, and talking and asking himself will create a habit to follow the discipline. coz human is a creature of habits.

  • @Svenshine

    Question are you saying you don't believe in scaling out or partial profts? Or just that you do do them but you don't let yourself feel bad or a loser?

    • @Duomoinitiative
      @Duomoinitiative  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do scale out. I'm saying we can't expect to capture every single pip of a market move with every trade. If that's the expectation we hold in our minds, we'll be disappointed with the outcome of our trades the majority of the time and this will influence further decision making.

    what if people would just stop being so greedy for things like "let it run" or "move stoploss to breakeven" and trust on their edge, take the 2-3 RRR trade every time and be profitable. why are people always wanting more

    • @Corehardstyle472
      @Corehardstyle472 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This comment is stupid it's about probability some people are more profitable on runners and putting stops at breakeven some are more profitable with a 1.1RRR instead of 1.3 everyone's edge is different.
