I respect them keeping Cardamom's voice actor in the newly made recap/retelling episodes despite his voice maturing because of purity

I dont understand why people have been complaining about Bee and Puppycat being so weird.
That's where the charm comes from in the show. It's weird. It's meant to be.
I think there’s a difference between weird and hard to follow. If you stopped paying attention, for even a second, you could very well lose track of what was happening. The original felt strange but you could definitely follow along with the plot. The newest season is good but felt like the writers were on something while writing it. I love that they brought Bee and Puppycat back but it’s very different from the original, even in its bizarreness. That’s practically undeniable and for fans like me who were really attached to the original, that change was jarring.

@@chivi-I agree, honestly I think I need a second rewatch cause' I didn't understand that much what was going on. I liked the bizarreness but I didn't really liked the pace of the show.

This art style reminds me a little of a Studio Ghibli film. The writing and humor feels like Adventure Time mixed with Crayon Shin-Chan a little.

The creator Natasha Allegri was certainly inspired by Studio Ghibli and as someone else mentioned she worked on Adventure time.

I love how lazy in space feels more like a final draft of the original episodes instead of a sequel. It’s really cool to see how the ideas were able to be fleshed out in a more final product. Maybe It’s because I’m an artist? I dunno. It’s cool and fun. I’m so excited for season 2.

yk every time that scene happens i feel so bad for cardamom bcuz he is right no adults are helping him no adults think this is weird everyone looks to him for help. even if he was just a landlord it would be fucked that no adults are helping him but he is also dealing with something that made a full grown adult FREAK TF OUT ( deckard).AND he has no friends in school and his teacher relies on him to be the adult in the clasroom. ALSO HIS MUM IS IN A DAMN COMA.

Unlike some people in these comments, I really love the new style and new episodes. They’re so aesthetically pleasing and adorable. Plus there’s a bunch more plot, it’s a bit more confusing but me and my friend watched it and loved it. I like it more then the pilot!

I loved everything about it! Sure it’s different but I love the new art style and the pacing and even the exaggerated, eccentric voice acting because it reminds me of Adventure Time and Steven universe (so I didn’t really notice it was “bad”)
I found that each of the characters shined and lovable.
I’m sad it gets compared so much to the original when if we didn’t people could enjoy it - I’m aware it means a lot to people as it does me but i had a blast watching it and didn’t want to look for differences, really.

@@rainy_.childx8451 Also if it doesn't work when you try turning it on after that. Don't scrap it. I once dropped half a can of root beer on my laptop 😢. This was when I was in highschool so I had no way to take it somewhere for repairs. Thought it was a goner. But when I tried turning it on again a few months later it worked just fine! Probably the soda dried out enough that it couldn't conduct electricity anymore.
One time I spilled half a glass of water on my keyboard and it was fine after I shook the water off and restarted it a few times
I just noticed the connection between cardamon and cass both being really hyper aware of the strangeness of their town... Makes me wonder if they'll have an episode together one day
This show is confusing enough, bee literally accepts the miku talking cat like it’s normal, THIS SHOW IS SO CHAOTIC AND CONFUSING MY GAWD
XD I love it so much and then the voice acting is so perfectly awkward. Also the voice is Oliver XD still a vocaloid tho.

As someone who got to see Lazy in Space before it released on Netflix, I am certainly sad that they had skipped some of my favorite episodes and changed other parts that then made no sense when referenced in later episodes... but knowing Netflix, it might have not been their choice to do so and even then I am happy Lazy in Space was released in the first place :]

I'm sad they changed cardamom's voice actor, and redid all the original episodes. They were amazing as they were
The voice acting across the board is so strange. It's like they just used the table reads for everything.
they didnt change his voice actor, his voice actor jsut got older
it's the same voice actor, they didn't change anything. They only made 3 extra episodes after "Lazy in Space" was recorded. So Cardamon's VA was older

I kinda like the new version tho.. In my opinion is just more calming and the colouring and stuff.. yeh the original alright. But i feel like this verson just makes it feel more relaxing

That's Puppycat in general especially lazy in space. It's like Deckard was holding the sanity of the show together. I think it would be better on rewatch. Beautiful visuals, interesting dialogue, and trippy af.

If you haven't, you'd be crawling on the floor, bawling your eyes out screaming "WHAT DOES IT MEAN???!??"
5:14 Look, I ADORED this show when I first watched it. And I still do, despite its flaws. But I CANNOT ignore this one: the emotional whiplash I got from this moment.
Cardamoms story is deeply tragic and the show normally deals with it very well, with stunning emotional moments. But having his REAL and valid reaction completely undercut by childish whining, animated with a theatrical and dramatic pose, feels like it’s … insulting him? I know this isn’t the intention of the creators but damn does it look bad. Not to mention it’s a portrayal of a character whose frustrations are NEVER otherwise let out, and a portrayal of a saddeningly real situation: the parentified child/ child who had to look after themselves.
I love Cardamom and the character they built and the story and environments surrounding him, but I can’t ignore this small moment. It feels like the show wanted to brush past it really quickly to get back to the “ooo! Bright colours! Puppycat insisting he’s cool! Humour! Cute stuff!” When they really had the chance to show something truly heartbreaking and SUBSTANTIAL.
As i sad, I don’t think it was the creators’ intention that this moment got presented the way it did, with the time crunch of the episode’s production and most likely only being able to have so many episodes in total bc of whatever deal they made with Netflix, it’s likely some plot lines/side stories would need to be cut down. As a side character, this was probably bound to happen to Cardamom, and for that I’m truly sad because they had an awesome character and the overall execution was very good imo. Shame the deepest and most thought-provoking line of his whole arc was immediately diminished by “dramatic childish whining”
