- Did you know there is a natural hot spring in Singapore? The name is Sembawang Hot Spring Park. Some of my viewers told me it recently re-opened on January 2020, and asked me to do a review on it.
I'm a Japanese, a lover of onsen (hot spring). So here I am. Let' see how Singapore onsen is. I also brought egg to cook!

あなたは知っていましたか？シンガポールに天然温泉があることを！Sembawang Hot Springという名のこの温泉は、日本がシンガポールを占領していた時代、日本軍が浸かっていたと言われています。
1909年頃に発見されたこの温泉、2020年1月にリニューアルオープンされたので行ってきました！リニューアル前の10倍の大きさの公園となり、そこには足湯で温泉を楽しんでいるシンガポール人の姿がありました。
そして温泉卵をつくるのも人気みたいで、近くの市場で買ってみて調理することに。果たして成功したのか…。

😲自己紹介
会社を辞め、ギターを持って旅に出たGhibli Ojisan（ジブリおじさん）です。11ヶ月で27カ国訪れ、世界各地でジブリのインストや叩き系ギターを弾いてきました。
2018年8月にTH-cam公式「急上昇クリエイター」として選出されたことをキッカケに、海外旅行やシンガポールについての動画もアップし始めました。
世界旅行後は台湾1ヶ月プチ移住、ノルウェー3ヶ月生活（農業ボランティア）など経験し、2019年1月にシンガポールに拠点を移しました。

A perfect half boil egg, you need it to put in a small pail and leave the egg at the 70degrees heat well for 30mins. Trust me it will be perfect Onsen Egg!!! Don’t forget to bring soy sauce and pepper!😂

i have this japanese friend whom i met in sg while he was doing internship here and thus his first real world exposure to english was in singapore, then when i met him again in japan he spoke singlish whenever we talked in english lol it was really interesting

Here's a tip if you want to know if your egg is still raw - Spin it on a flat surface. If the spin is wobbly or slow, that means it's still pretty much raw. If it has a steady spin, then it's cooked, or at least the whites on the outer shell is cooked. Try it next time. =)

Btw, I think you should leave the egg in the 70 deg C pool. Ajitama is in boiling water for 7 minutes, so I guess 70 deg C will need a longer time.

When the subtitle says “HUAT AH” 😂
When you take the water out of the tap, the temperature starts to drop. It will take way longer than 10 minutes. May not even cook. You have to immerse your eggs at 70 degrees constantly just like you saw some people do it at 10:45 in your video.
So hilarious when he questioned his decision to soak his feet in the 40 degrees water when the ambient temperature is about 39 degrees...

if u go there before the renovation happen, it is like an old quiet place with uncles chatting around. it is unique, felt a bit like kampung
温泉玉子の作り方は70℃湯(ずーっと同じ温度をキープ)で約20分、茹で玉子は、90~100℃の熱湯これも一定温度で約15分で出来るで😀

3年くらい前に行きました。
その頃は今ほどきれいに整備されていなく、地元の方が10人くらいしかいないって場所でした。

I cant appreciate onsen in a hot and humid singapore! That is crazy!
The half boiled egg you have at kopitiam is boiling 100 degree celsius water, the max temp u introduced at sembawang was 70 degree celsius, so obviously you have to cook it longer.

The bird nest is definitely fake. The bits and pieces are just imitation bird's nest. Nonetheless, it's still a really nice and cooling drink
yes. for 1.20 hawkers cant give the real stuff. I think its imitation made with agar agar and flour

That hot spring is right beside my home, it was a messy, smelly concrete place once 😂 didn't know it was already changed into this.
知名度が一気に上がりましたねー。それにしてもシンガポールに温泉があるというのは知りませんでした。センバワン方面は余り行ったこともなかったので死角に入ってた気がしますが、これは正にレアスポット。これからも更にローカルなシンガポールを紹介していって下さい。
シンガポールは小さな国なので、日本のような地方番組という概念はなかったのかもしれませんが、最近このチャンネル見るとシンガポールの中の地方番組見てるみたいで面白いです。

So happy to see you walking around a place where I live! II went to cook the eggs for more than 30 min under the running hot spring water (70 degree) but it is still not cooked :0
they should put an egg vending machine here
The cafe near the entrance sells eggs with a plastic mug (rented). Can cook the egg then bring it back to the cafe to eat. Much more convenient as utensils soy sauce and pepper provided. Can also buy toast to eat with eggs if u prefer.
The egg will break when it rolls down 😂
