I bought the Ghost because of your review and i couldn't be happier what a beast. As a fellow lefty tweener your reviews are my benchmark . Keep up the good work and thank you.
Picked this ball up a few weeks ago and couldn't agree more, this ball continually makes me say WOW. I am a lefty with similar stats to Tamer and get a similar reaction and is one of the most continuous balls out there and drives really hard thru the pin deck. One of my favorite balls I've ever thrown.
Just picked this up today over a sure lock, Holy hell what a ball, Im typically a storm guy as in my bag right now is a timeless, optimus and hy wire but this ball freaking knocked my socks off today.
Went to a motiv demo and tried out the new stuff. I'm happy with all the balls I currently have but this was the first ball to ever make me say WOW. 3 frames in and bought one. You were right Tamer, stronger/earlier and rounder than the Trident/NR. Very happy!
Both oob finish, similar layout (ghost has pin 1/2 higher and mb 3/4 further right). The trident goes longer, little more angular. the ghost is much more aggressive in the midlane and hooks sooner and smoother and really strong. Yet surprisingly still has a lot of energy at the pins. I love my trident, but the ghost will recover from places the trident will not make it back from. shape wise the trident is inbetween angularity of fear and smoothness of ghost. I've had the trident for much longer and can tell you it is very versatile. Both great balls. just depends on what length and shape you are looking for
I am leaning towards the ghost love my jackal le. I know its the same core but I am a mid to higher rev rate player 16mph at the break point. I get a lot of angularity from solid balls and even more from hybrids and pearls. I Think I am going to go with the ghost and if its too close to my le ill change the surface on my le to like 3000 or 4000 grit
The weirdest thing with my ghost happens, and it may be due to my odd two-handed style. I dont get much tilt on the ball, I tend to be quite up the back, and I can never get my ghost to just hook. I pretty much play up the second or third arrow and can't go any deeper or it just won't hook.
Limerick eh? I'm not too far away in Delco. I'd love to try out one of these balls if that's an option... I currently throw the venom shock. Works pretty well for the mid game when the oil is used up a bit, but isn't hooking when I want early on in the heavier oil
Looking for a strong asym and from the Ghost, LE, No Rules Exist and Surelock videos, the Ghost looks to save more energy when thrown out right than the other two ? Thanks in advance for the advice
I current Have the jackal le, primal fear, and a chronic paranoia. I want to add one higher end ball. Should I go ghost jackal or trident to found the top end out?
We haven't tested the Hammer Gauntlet directly. Certainly couldn't say which one is "better". They are both meant as heavy oil balls. The Gauntlet looks a little earlier and more rolly while the Ghost is very boomy downlane and continuous.
Both of these balls are gonna be really difficult to play down and in unless you are on a flatter sport pattern. If you were to find those kinds of conditions, expect the Code Black to read significantly later and create a sharper angle, while the Jackal will probably give you better control, if not as much pop through the rack.
I'm in the market for a new ball. Man there are so many. Average 217, throw around 16.5mph with probably 350-400rpm rev rate as a right hander. I enjoy bowling house shots but, when they break down I still struggle on the dry parts. Even my pitch black can hook to much at times. What would be a good ball for me? I throw the Storm IQ Tour Fusion and the Lights out along with pitch black mostly for spares. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Oh yeah, a ball strong on the back end so I don't leave so many 10-pins.
@@scotty2221 Typical over under on the house shot. It has a wall of oil and then a wall of dry, no smooth transition. That might mean you need to move in a bit but use a stronger ball that will still have some motion in oil but also not as quick in the dry. It's more of a lane play strategy adjustment
TamerBowling I got a pretty strong drilling on my Venom I can stand 25 throw my ball out to 7 and have it come back no problem. 16-17 mph 400 revs for my self
Jayce Sauve if you don’t have much oil for the venom shock pearl, the ghost is going to be a lot of ball. It may actually be so strong it rolls out. Not sure what you’re looking for.
TamerBowling on Fresh House shot I can stand 25 throw it out to 7-8 and have it come back with the Venom Shock Pearl, I'm either thinking the Jackal Rising or the Jackal Ghost for step up but which one would have a similar roll to the VSP
@@jaycesauve1546 Still think that's a big step up from the VSP. If you are looking for more backend, go with the Ghost. If the VSP rolls more even front to back for you, then Rising.
You know when I mentioned that there are an elite few that hook this much. The No Rules Solid would fit in that category as well. I would say similar strength balls. The No Rules is probably a touch sharper downlane with the same layout, i.e., a touch higher asymmetry and higher RG. The Jackal Ghost is a touch earlier and smoother. It will really depend on which brand's ball reaction you prefer.
Thanks for the response! I really like my Trident and thought something that was a little sooner and smoother may help on some patterns. I already have the NR also and thought maybe the ghost would be too similar unless I went with a very different layout. Just don't want a bunch of balls that do basically the same thing. Thanks again! Best review channel on YT
Thanks for the compliment! Spread the word! Do you not feel the NR is a little sooner and smoother than the Trident for you? The Ghost is a great compliment in that way for the Trident but I'm not sure what you're seeing with your NR. How's your NR drilled?
NR is drilled strong, similar to 4x4x2. at 3000 surface. It is a bit sooner yes, but more angular than the Trident. It does great at one of the centers I bowl that is 43' 24mL. Not sure of the numbers, but Trident drilled pin above bridge. Have just been exploring some of the new balls that might be earlier than Trident but more of a rounded shape than both of these. I typically bowl at 4 different centers that play quite a bit different.
ZrfQL 24 I took them both to nationals. I would say the sure lock is a bit stronger in the fronts and the ghost a touch more shape downlane but pretty close.
All depends on the reaction shape you are looking for. Both will work well on heavy conditions. If you want more front to back control, I would say the Sure Lock. If you want a little more shape, Ghost. Watch the videos, try to match yourself up to one of the bowlers and see which ball reaction you like better. What's your style?

Also if it helps, my specs are 19 at release, low-mid 300 rr, 60ish AR on average. Not sure of tilt but on the low side I believe

Great review on the Jackal Ghost. What a cute ending by a future hall of famer. lol

I know this is a really old video but would this be a good ball for a full roller?
As long as it fits in your arsenal I don’t see why not. I’ve seen full rollers throw it.
Just got the ghost ..love it...but what would be a good motiv ball to follow up with for when lanes start to dry up..??
Depends on how big of a step down you need. Most obvious if you like Motiv is the Golden Jackal or Villain Scorn.
@@TamerBowling been looking at that golden jackal havent thought of the scorn will deff look into it thank you!!

Had a demo today with no rules and the jackel 👻. People were throwing the ghost more then the no rules
This vs storm code black for throwing to the outside from the middle of the lane, and down and in?
Both of these balls are gonna be really difficult to play down and in unless you are on a flatter sport pattern. Scotty is your lights out too strong? That is a great medium/light oil ball.
@@TamerBowling It's hard to say. Like if it hits oil it's hard to come back but if it hits dry it comes back WAY to much.

How's the jackal ghost compare to the phaze 2?
It’s really clean with more pop downlane compared to the phase 2 but both have really good continuation through the pocket
Would this Jackal Ghost be a good Step up from the Venom Shock Pearl ?
Jayce Sauve it’s a pretty big step up. There will likely be a gap between them still.
