- This is my Ruger made Marlin 1895 tactical lever gun build.

The words “tactical” and “lever-gun” sound friggin hilarious in the same sentence. Maybe it’s just me though. Lol
Better get use to it. The more states that ban AR’s, the more it makes sense for the lever action to evolve. Personally it’s a dream to shoot

Great gun! I have an 1895 Trapper as well.. I mounted a Skinner rail and slapped a Sig Romeo 5 (zeroed at exactly 50 yards). Not sure if I want to make it anymore tacticool but I do love me some Ranger Point hardware...

I just bought one today, came on here for ideas and your build is exactly what I want. I hope you don’t mind me copying you.
Thank you brother! Have at it! I’ve changed it a little since then. I have a Silencerco ASR mount muzzle brake, stainless steel, Ranger point medium loop lever, and 4570 stainless steel quick takedown lever screw on it now. Also added a Ranger point follower. I took off the quiver on the hand guard. Just waiting on my can and she will be finished!

..I've got a Marlin guide gun that I recently bought a Boyd's pistol grip stock and a Ranger Point pistol grip lever for.
Also bought the MI ghost sight and rail..

Which swivels you use for the Buffalo sling?
I also have a Ruger made trapper and have been considering replacing the skinner sights with a rail. Did you have to install a new front sight or did that rail/rear sight work with the stock front sight blade as far as proper height? Thanks and awesome build!
The full length XS sight systems rail comes with the replacement front sight and rear ghost ring

Us gun guys are great at buying a gun because it's slim and handy and turning it into an overweight, bloated pig LOL I had to limit myself to a light and one day a pistol red dot, otherwise it'll be a huge pain to actually carry outdoors
If you have 12 rounds on your lever action you definitely don't need more on a sling, it's just not worth it. Your pockets will serve you better and won't get in the way.
My new setup just has the quiver on the stock. I took the front quiver off. Will add an updated video soon, but you are right.
I don’t get it but to each their own.
I love the lever gun, but this is just to much, I'll take an ar any day for tactical use. I use my 45-70 for hunting bear and moose.
Actually I’ve simplified it since this video. I’ve taken the front quiver off completely and added a viridian green laser hand stop. Doesn’t have any extra added stuff on it. Laser for hip fire fast acquisition. And red dot for medium distance. I add a bipod as needed, but it’s off most of the time

I’ll keep my guide gun and SBL stock. But I at least wanted one tactical lever action, and the Trapper was my choice🤷♂️
