I don't recommend turning down your resolution unless you absolutely have too. It can cause screen tearing or glitches. If you do change it, don't go too far down. If you use a 1280x720 display, don't change it. If you have a 1080p display, change it to 1600x900.

I don't know why but for me, just today minecraft started lagging so bad for no reason. My game usually runs 70-75 fps and out of no where it runs 50-60fps and for me, that looks like garbage. Do you this issue?
