Hi, I love Edmonton. I am here now for about 4months already coming from Philippines. I got to enjoy now living here despite the extreme cold yet we survive and humbly embrace it.
Before moving to Calgary I watched lot of your videos as I initially planned to move Edmonton. House price makes a huge difference. I’m planning to visit Edmonton this summer. Good stuff. Thanks
Given inflation issues currently, ottawa is SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive than Edmonton. I live in Ottawa and have been visiting family in Edmonton for the last 10 days, Edmonton is incredibly more affordable than Ottawa, in Ottawa cuttently, 2L of milk costs 6$ and a loaf of bread is almost 4&. Eating at a restaurant is more affordable/worth it in Edmonton compared to Ottawa. In terms of fuel, costs are similar but I could swear the quality of gas in Edmonton is better than Ottawa, 60$ of gas in Ottawa lasts me about 3 days, I filled up 60$ of gas here in edmonton and it’s lasted me almost 7 days. Same amount of driving and same car. Rent/real estate here in Edmonton is SIGNIFICANTLY more affordable than Ottawa too. In Ottawa you currently can’t even rent a bachelor apartment for under 1300/month. And single family homes in Ottawa are at the lowest end 2200/month and that’s if you’re lucky and find something on the outskirts of Ottawa
Which city do you love the best? Let us know!

I have heard that the crime rate in Edmonton is much higher than in Ottawa, is that true?
If employment is not a problem, I like Ottawa better, but definitely more expensive than Edmonton
