A little bit of advice, if you're reacting to a Gundam-related video, don't forget to put the "Gundam"-word in your video title. That keyword is the one that wil bring in the Gundam fans through algorythm. Your previous *Gundam SEED OP reaction* video did pretty good partly coz you put the "Gundam" name on the title & SEED itself is a popular show. You can do as good with OPs & EDs from other Gundam shows if you want 👍
IBO is my most loved Gundam series ever. Its up there wit Wing and 00. Gaz if you watch IBO you will be hooked on Gundam i guarantee! Love the character development in this series and the story is FANTASTIC!! Opening 4 is my fave by Kana Boon
@@wulf8889I would say it's intentional considering mikatuki is literally dependant On orca to make decisions for him. It's in the last episode that he needs to make a choice for himself and he realize that all he knows is fighting and go down fighting
A history on this timeline which only shows briefly in the show and doesn't spoil too much: In this gundam timeline there was a massive war that spread throughout the universe called the calamity war where a certain faction of humans created mobile armors named after angels capable of fighting autonomously for eternity since they are powered by ahab reactors and are basically walking fortresses and factories that can make minion workers that "gather"(pillage and plunder) materials and resources wherever they go, thus an organization known as the gjallarhorn was formed to combat this threat and they developed 72 mobile suits known as gundams named after the 72 demons of King Solomon throughout the war they successfully defeated the threat although obviously at some loss concurred nonetheless the hero Agnika Kaeru and his gundam bael became the hero and founder of gjallarhorn and in the future aka where the story takes place in the show gjallarhorn is now an Earth and Space federacy run by aristocrat's from the founding member families of Gjallarhorn each of course keeping their 300 year old gundams as an heirloom but functionally all mobile suits in their current era are based after the original gundam frames and valkyrie frames albeit toned down since they no longer need mobile armor hunters but peace keepers instead, anyways economic blocs all own a portion of the milky way galaxy but generally the gjallarhorn are the defense and peace keeping force albeit they are corrupt because 300 years of ruling and authoritarian rule tends to do that to a government system anyways there's this planet called Mars where a bunch of orphans are working for a corrupt mercenary group and they will form the future faction that will rise against the gjallarhorn and take their rightful place in this world known as tekkadan with the help of a piracy mafia faction which is also connected to an economic bloc called Teiwaz, together they will fight against gjallarhorn, but there is another faction within gjallarhorn which seeks to do the same and they work in the shadows and generously aiding the tekkadan cause and eventually these three factions will go up against gjallarhorn and from then on will the tale of the iron blooded orphans be told throughout the galaxy sparking a new age and a new chapter within their history.
Gundam has a 3 or 4 (main) timelines, most derive from the first gundam and continue the story a few hundred years later, but a good portion you dont need to know the previous story to understand, and some are complete new timelines.
And then there's the crossover where they use gundam model kits from every conceivable timeline to do c0ck fighting with them in massive e-sports like tournaments and surprisingly it actually seems fun that Bandai keeps on trying to make it a reality.
I like ending 3 & 4. When u watch Gundam, u check the year of the story. If it starts with UC, it is from the same time line and same universe (like UC0083, UC0091), it will be related to previous stories. On the other hand, if the year of the story is not start with UC (like CE), it is an independent universe. The first half of the Iron Blooded Orphans is great, you may wish to watch that
Am so curious about the Mobil Suit Gundam universe. I asked a buddy of mine, “where do I start ?” He said “What time line ? 😮. Though, I’m clueless about this franchise. Nonetheless , the openings & endings give me more reason to watch them. Appreciate your reaction video for this Title.
everything is simple there Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin - background 68-79 U.C. (6 episodes per hour) Mobile Suit Gundam - original series, one-year war, January-December 79 U.C. (50 episodes) - as an alternative, you can watch three full-length films Mobile Suit Gundam I, II, III Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team is an excellent spinoff that takes place at the end of a one-year war, October-December 79 U.C. (12 episodes) Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket is another spinoff that takes place at the end of the one-year war of October-December 79 U.C. (6 episodes) Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt: December Sky is a full-length spinoff about the end of the one-year war in December 79 U.C. (full length) Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory - sequel, Operation Stardust 83 U.C. (13 episodes) Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam - sequel, Grips conflict 87-88 U.C. (50 episodes) Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ - continuation of 88-89 U.C. The first Neo-Zion war, the first half is unfortunately not very good (50 episodes) Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - sequel to 93 U.C. Second Neo-Zeon War (Feature Film) Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn - sequel to 96 U.C. (7 episodes per hour) Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash is a sequel, one of 3 full-length films, but the other two have not yet been released 105 U.C. (full length)
Try either: - *Gundam 00* - *Gundam - The Witch from Mercury* - *Gundam - Iron-Blooded Orphans* - *Gundam SEED* (Remaster) Read their synopsis and watch the one that interest you the most (none of them are connected). I hope that can help.
if it helps most are standalone with a sequel or two while UC is the one you'll need a flowchart for with it's many prequels, sequels, sidestories, and movies that often feature returning characters/locations. I think that timeline spans 200 years(so far) if you count all it's anime and mangas together😅
@@APrinnyDood the anime covers events from 68 to 153, with details only from 68 to 105, and then there are timeskips of 20 and 30 years, then only books and games, with a timeskip of 70 years, so in fact we can only talk about 40 years
The 4th ending becomes much somber after you discover how it ends. Also, fighter is my favorite among the 4 openings. Also, will you be reacting to That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime anytime soon?
Im not sure if you've had this answered yet or if you're still curious, but to answer your questions about their spine.... It's a nano machine implant attached to their spines called the Alaya Vijyana. It can only bind to children who are still growing, and is dangerous enough that a good amount of children who undertake the operation ( against their will mind you) can't handle it and end up either crippled or worse. But yes, that implant does help them to pilot mobile suits and mobile workers by basically acting like a separate lobe of the brain in helping them process data organically. It helps them alnost pilot the machines as an extension of themselves with little to no training or reading capacity. The more implants they have, the more data they can process and the more control they have. Unfortunately, they can still get too much feedback from the machine and end up debilitated unless they are connected to a machine... Its helpful but dangerous. And Mikazuki had that surgery 3 times, hence the prongs you see from his back
So to answer your question at 2:00 gundam is a bit odd as it has UC (Universal Century) this is where the original mobile suit gundam universe comes from and lots of gundam series such as unicorn, origin, 08th ms team, stardust memory, thunderbolt and many many more originate from and they are all set in the same universe but at different points in the timeline or in a different area fighting a separate conflict in the same timeline as other UC series and etc Then... there aslo AC (Alternate Century) which is where iron blooded orphans and alot of popular gundam series like seed 00 etc however unlike UC none of these gundam series take place in the same universe whatsoever in fact iron blooded orphans is set in a post disaster timeline where beam weaponry (a staple of gundam) has been made obsolete and is known as an ancient technology from over 300 years in the past and therefore all the mobile suits and "gundam frames" as they are called in this only have ballistic weapons like cannon's mortars grenades rocket launchers missiles railguns vulcans or melee weapons which can range from swords clubs hammers to giant scissors leg/ knee drills claws and or a weaponised flying tail just to name a few
15:45 there’s also a couple of brothers there with one has his arm around the other but sadly Elgar the older one I think died fighting in the last battle
What they're fighting for is a good question for you to be asking, and all I'll say is that the answer is in the OPs & EDs and you even noticed it. IBO was my gateway Gundam and I am very fond of it. I made the mistake of getting attached to many characters who didn't survive, so I ended up being sad a lot... Still a great experience tho, highly recommended.
Gundam's generally split into 2 categories: Universal Century (The main timeline) and Alternate Universes (Like Seed or IBO). The AU's are mostly complete standalone series with no prior knowledge of the franchise required. Just pick one that seems interesting and give it a go. AU's include G, Wing, X, Seed (And its sequel Seed Destiny), 00, Age, IBO, Witch from Mercury, and the Build series. The UC otoh, is 1 continuous timeline with ~15 different entries. Also, all of Gundam has really good music, kinda a requirement to be in the franchise.
The Iron Blooded Orphans is referring to the children. In the anime Mars has been colonized, but the people on Mars live in abject poverty because of Earth constantly draining their resources and basically making it hard for Martians to make a living. The children you see are a part of a Mercenary Unit, because on Mars they sell children to these Mercenary Units for money. Gundam is separated into various Universes, so you have Universal Century, After War, Anno Domini, After Colony and so on......each universe is different and separate from the others.
