i wanted to add that if you put e.g. "BIND_TO_EXTRA_B=1" ("B" can be replaced with any letter between A-F) to the code of the neon lights, you can use the EXTRA A-F buttons to chose when you want the neons to be on or off! just remember to bind your extra buttons to the keys on your keyboard in content manager
Yup, definitely! I’ve had more advanced tutorials and codes planned since the start, the first three tutorials are all about laying down the basics and keeping it easy for beginners, as the title suggests on OverTake.gg. Future updates and videos will dive into more advanced techniques, so we can ease newcomers into it without overwhelming them right off the bat.
Hi, thx for the videos. Just found a stock MKIV Supra to modify on gumroad and trying to mod it ^^ Btw what Supra isw that at 7:00 ? If it's free would you share it maybe ? :)
Please make a video teaching how to convert cars from other games to Assetto Corsa. I want to create a mod of the 2004 Honda Civic G7 sold in Brazil, but I don't know where to start or if it's even possible.
Dumb question time When I try to add a command line to the ext_config and save then go test ... The new command crashes game ... Then I reinstall the car mod , car loads fine and all is good ... Any ideas on how to avoid the crash ?
Could be just a random crash if it just happened once. Which code did you put? Also try to check the original ext_config for similar code especially on the 1st line of the copied code. But it's highly unlikely the code caused the crash.
@@digitalvei yeah, I figured it out. Thank you so much, this stuff is awesome and very helpful. you are a true hero to the Assetto Community. Can you do more Rally inspired ones if possible?
@@GradyMikulski Hey, thanks a ton for the kind words! I'm super glad you found it helpful! As for rally stuff, now you've got me curious, what kind of rally magic are you thinking of? There’s definitely a bunch I haven’t explored yet, so I’m all ears and might just roll it into my future plans. Let’s keep the dirt flying!
@@digitalvei Antilag system configs? I know some like the Evo III I was modifying sounded like it had one (and probably did),but I think it’s a good idea, you can probably make it remastered and a bit better. I definitely had a little bit more but I lost it in my head lol Maybe gear sounds, like straight cut gear sounds, etc?
@@GradyMikulski For stuff like antilag systems and gear sounds, it really depends on the car's sound source. Some sound files come with a lot of adjustable options, but others might not even have built-in internal gear shift sounds, for example. Turbo sounds usually just cover the boost output, too, if only there's an advanced code to tweak the antilag. The base code mostly lets you tweak things like volume levels and pitch for stuff like gear shifting or engine sounds. I’d suggest looking into other car sound files that offer more adjustable options so you can play around with it.
insane content, 🔥🔥 very interesting and helpful❤️❤️, is it possible to make one video about, if car dont have any licenese plate, its emtpy how to attach it with, extension.ini with model raplacment
It's possible but there's has to be an object for the license plate to be put as a new object of the car, or replacing an existing object of the car and then change the coordinate of the object. Both need a new 3D rendered object exported as .kn5 file. The codes in the ext_config.ini will make some refinements for the object like its position, textures, etc. And I don't think I'll be making such video about that in the near future since I'm not really know much about it and the confidence to share a tutorial about that specific thing. But who knows, I'll learn more later, right?

aaand another good one :)
Enjoy the customizations, Thom!
Can you make a tutorial on how to add colored footwell lights for the interior? I would really love to have those!
If you try the endurance light on a car, you can do footwell lights easily. Just position the light to be in the bottom area of the interior.
@@digitalvei alr i will try that! thx

Hey, I wanted to change the pitch on my car, but I don’t see a pitch, does it depend on the config?
Did you download the base code? The pitch code is in there, mate.
