Great video and information, I am still debating on buying a Amazon Firestick 4K Maxx with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of SSD storage as opposed to a ONN 4K box that has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of SSD storage.
Well, just an HONEST opinion - being involved with smart-home devices for decades and using Ring Alarm the Onn hub/box will never compete on the same level as Amazon products will EVER! If you have no need for any of those features then YES, this Onn box may be for you. I use a Fire Cube Gen 3 and it integrates flawlessly and have the newer Amazon Echo Hub which integrates with my Ring Alarm and the rest of my smart-home setup and works well. This is just MY use case. ALL user needs will vary but, IMO the Onn box vs. the Fire Cube 3rd gen is a NO comparison option for me.
These onn boxes are running the Google TV operating system and Google devices on phones and tablets already have the home app, this will probably be ported to Google Tv in time, whether these are as good as Fire TVs offering is yet to be seen.
Well hopefully it works better than the last Gen, because it sucked bad, pulls in 400 mbps but streams like total ass, buffers all the time, choppy , and constantly switching down to 1440, this thing is awful !!!
@@ljohn4466 No I don't have another issue, when the tv pulls in 290 mbps and the Onn box pulls in 340 it's not another issue, the box is just erratic and works when it wants to work, that's what happens when people buy inferior products because content creators hype them up knowing they are garbage !!!

Unfortunately we didn't get the current ONN boxes in Canada. We would have to buy them from the US.
Thanks for letting me know.
I wonder why Walmart doesn't sell these boxes in Canada?
@@cpar5468 I can only imagine they only have the rights to sell them in the US.
nice to have options, cheers
It certainly is.
i don't need one,but will certainly buy one,hehe
😝
Can we buy it in canada ??? We don’t have Onn products in Canada. I don’t know why
I hope they thoroghly test Android 14....been some issues with it...
I'm like Juan and don't need another box but certainly enjoyed your video and keeping up with trends.

Many people want to sideload apps onto their devices though. That soon won't be possible with (new) Amazon devices.

What century will us uk cave dwellers get a decent box like this, rather than the usual coat hangers we use 😅
😂

Not had those kind of problems with mine.
I have 2 of the boxes and they run flawlessly. You have another issue.
