I just bought the 2024 tacoma trail hunter it is a beast off-road so much torque mine is underground color this is best pickup I have ever had for off-road it's amazing it's worth every penny that they cost 🎉🎉

I do not understand one thing: my 21 Tundra fits in my garage with a chest freezer behind it. Why couldn't engineers find a way to create a little more legroom in the rear seats of the Tacome?
Even just a couple more inches would be all people want. It’s no bigger than my 2015 Tacoma and with a car seat the passenger seat is dang near all the way forward and my 5’2” tall wife’s knees are almost touching the dash.

No one is seeing the fact that Toyota decided to give the new Tacoma rear seat more thigh support. That’s huge. It looks smaller due to that. Go sit in a 3rd gen rear seat and then the 4th gen.

Yes, the thing you pointed to IS the air intake. The "High Clearance Trail Exhaust" is different... it's the actual exhaust (as the name might imply) which dumps fore of the rear axle for better clearance. Also... great review! 🙌

Composite bed rock. Manufacturers shy away because of cost. They may show scratches more readily but who cares when it doesn't rust. Downside is they're slippery.
I really want to like this Truck. They look great. But so many compromises. 1st why build a new platform and not make the rear seat usable. Basically its just storage. Especially on the TRD Pro with those seats. Why not have the long bed be a option on every model. TRD fake hood scoop. No Sunroof option on the Trail Hunter (US). And the plasticly interior. And they are both 65-70k...!!! But in 2034, they will be a Bargain...
If Toyota offered a lifetime warranty on the Hybrid battery, I could justify the $65k. But knowing you'll be replacing it in 7 - 9 years, translates to a horrible "cost of ownership". I'll be curious to see how this affects resale value on these trucks as they reach the 5 year mark.
The battery is literally smaller than one of the three lithium iron phosphate batteries in my camper. It should cost that much. Although, this is Toyota we are talking about. It will probably be $20k.
@@Pickuptrucktalk Tacoma uses a NIMH battery. Goggle "lifespan of NIMH" and you'll see its 5 - 7 years. I've not personally owned a hybrid, but friends with Hybrids have all had to replace their batteries at around 8 years. I live in Colorado so maybe the cold winters speeds that up, don't know. This is just what I've seen with in my very limited experience with Hybrids.

IMO, every Tacoma trim level is about $5-$8k over priced and I’m a Tacoma nerd. If they would have just added a couple inches to the cab (and overall length) for more back seat room, I think it’d sell even better. It’s dang near the same price as most 1/2 tons now.
I would not buy this truck. It's way way overpriced. I would say it's 30K dollars overpriced. Transmission issues straight out of the box. No factory bump stops. Forget about it. I'll keep my 2021 4runner thank you.
@Pickuptrucktalk Nah. Just recently one them people that conduct real world testing on a tacoma was off roading in a tacoma when one of the front shocks busted through the top of the shock bump stop. No bueno when you can't off road an off road......

I test drove the Ranger raptor and got a TH instead. If the TH is overpriced, the RR is overrated. I agree the TH is priced too high but the Ranger raptor is really cheapy and not this amazing vehicle everyone thinks it is. Go buy one and see.

Definitely a good looking truck. If money wasn't an issue, the I'd much rather have the Trail Hunter versus the Jeep Gladiator.

The exhaust is different on the Trailhunter. It ends before the rear axle, thus giving the Trailhunter Tacoma a "high clearance exhaust."

Why do you think the hybrid battery will need to replaced? That's not been the case on any vehicles.
