Koh Samet is a beautiful island not far from Bangkok. One way to go there is to take the bus from ekkamai bus station, and then the boat to koh samet. The whole journey takes around 4 to 5 hours.
White sand beaches and clean water, it's really a nice place to relax and enjoy.
As it's in a national park, there is an entrance fee.

As i've planned to Nuanthip Pier by bus too, but I can find nothing on website about this Bus Company.
Do you know whether they are still operates this route or it will have another bus can go to Nuanthip Pier in Ekkami Eastern Bus Terminal?

Hello thank you for the nice comment. We are so happy that you enjoyed it.
It was also difficult for us to find those information on internet. But what we did we checked if there is a bus departed on 12go.asia website from ekkamai to Nuanthip pier or Koh Samet (you can buy directly combine ticket bus + boat). If yes, you can book online to secure your seats or just go at ekkamai station 30 minute to 1 hour before the departure time. For us we did not book in advance and just go and try our chance.
If you don't know which counter to buy your ticket in ekkamai station, don't worry all the stall write the name of destination they sell or there are always someone ready to guide you to the right counter.
In the video we show the counter where we bought our tickets. Take a screenshot of it if you want 😉

We guess there are others piers to koh samet but we prefer to follow the route we can find on 12go website.
Nadan pier is the main one in Koh Samet. All the boats have to come here and then passengers can pay the entrance fee to the national park. If you find a boat that goes to Nadan pier from another point you are good. If so can you share it here please. We are really curious too 😊

A couple of questions:
1) If I have already bought a boat ticket and gets to the pier. Where do I check in with my ticket?
2) If I have a big suitcase with me, how do I get that on the boat? Will someone automatically take it for me, or do I take it on the boat myself?

1) you can just go to the boat ticket point reception and show your ticket.
2) I think you will have to take it on the boat yourself. But usually there is someone who help you get on the boat. He might help you for the suitcase too

Sorry for the delay 😅 The island is not that big. Hotel should be able to arrange your way back to the pier. Wish you a pleasant stay there! This is amazing. We miss this place so much haha

Hi may I know when is the first bus from bkk to the destination and when is the bus from destination back to bkk?
Hi, not sure if buses are running like normal now but usually it's from 7AM at Bangkok Ekkamai. For the return I am not sure for the exact timetable but we took a bus in the early afternoon (around 1PM) to go back to Bangkok.
