How to solve a Rubik's cube using the beginner method

I finally learned how to solve this great puzzle and I like to amaze and annoy my friends with it. I usually then buy them a cube and try to get them to learn it, some have done really well. It's a great fidget toy too so I thought I'd share my method and hopefully teach you too.
