Michael is a 2011 Austria horror film. This movie can be view at tubi also I believe spooky rice made a video about the film last year explaining about it. Hope that helps!! I think it's this 2011 film that is being mention in the iceberg not the other one ✨✨ @sourcebrew
My dad saw Jaws in the theater when it came out, and the girl next to him actually jumped and fell on the floor when the guy's head came popping out of the boat. Jaws had a detrimental effect on real life sharks too, which is its own disturbing fact.
The author of Jaws PROFOUNDLY regretted ever writing his books, and spent the rest of his life advocating, and raising money for ocean life. It’s sad, because you’re more likely to die getting hit by some idiot on their phone, than any shark, yet sharks are truly treated horribly.
My grandpa took my dad and my uncles to watch it in theaters when it came out. My dad was only 12 but his younger brother was 7 at the time and he was genuinely traumatized. According to my dad, my uncle refused to go swimming for 5 years after that even in pools.
@lesyeuxsansvisage1157 this statement means nothing as most of us aren't near 80 sharks any time we need to go somewhere. Yes you are more likely to die from an everyday thing that doesn't make a shark something to play with
The “Michael” the iceberg is referring to is a 2011 movie about a deranged and mentally disturbed man kidnapping and abusing a little boy whilst publicly pretending to be his father and telling the boy that he can see his family again soon while also attempting to kidnap another boy so the prisoner can have a “friend” spooky rice made a really good video on it
Apparently this movie is free on Tubi. But the plot sounds like another movie I saw based on a real life kidnapping of a boy by a pedophile that happened in Merced, CA in the 70s or 80s.
it would have been great if the iceberg said “Michael (2011)” instead. sucks that it had to be skipped like that, but i blame the image’s creator for not being specific. icebergs need to be specific at all costs so it’s sad when stuff like this happens
I understand that TH-cam is strict but I'm sick of TH-camrs doing this, the money isn't important, if you have to censor your art then you've just ruined your own art, thus this video's not worth watching, I'm not bowing to communism and neither should this guy.
WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN was based on an actual school shooting where a lot of the details were accurate. It’s horrifying. PS: just because a movie isn’t, like, HOSTEL, doesn’t mean it’s not horror? These are horror movies, in various different sub genres of horror.
True, Hostel was just absurdly gross. And one of the things most people don't know is that the movie was so popular in the 2000s and widely watched that people thought that the whole sex trafficking stuff in Slovakia was real, which ended up harming tourism in Slovakia, Czechia and so many neighboring countries, shame on Tarantino...
yes! most female youtubers that talk about these movies which involve sa and revenge say that the revenge in the movies isn't even worth it like the damage is already done, sa is a really gross and terrible subject that shouldn't be used in horror movies is just cheap shock and gross
yeah no shit dude, SA is one of the worst things a person can experience, so of course movies get made about the subject matter. idk why you're surprised. You don't seem to be annoyed that a lot of them are also just "murder".
Fun Fact: The director of Salo wasn't just assassinated, the assassination was carried out by the Mafia because not only the film's source material, but because of the director's um... love put in youtube friendly terms for little boys, which is how the Mafia lured him for the assassination
The fact that he was talking about the wrong film is funny to me. The film the iceberg is referring to is a 2011 film German film about a man holds a young boy captive in his elaborately designed basement.

I appreciate the iceberg being trimmed down to only include real movies, although there are several surprising omissions. The amount of censorship left a lot of the descriptions very vague too. Several of the French films in the iceberg were directed by the same guy. Also, Cannibal Holocaust has an upcoming video game sequel called Borneo: A Jungle Nightmare.
I’m surprised the movie “Threads” isn’t on this list. Threads (1984) is a British film that takes place in an alternate version of our world where the Cold War escalated to a nuclear conflict. It’s seen as (one of) the most realistic depictions of a nuclear war in film. It even goes 13 years past the war itself to show the long term affects. It’s an amazing film but not for the lighthearted, I’d highly recommend it to anyone who feels they’d be able to handle that type of content.
@@BigMama61 i haven’t seen the 2020 movie but i’m pretty sure it’s the 2012 one-it’s a notoriously disturbing non-horror movie and fits more with that layer of the iceberg than the 2020 one seems to.
this might be a me thing, but if I come to an iceberg video about movies instead of looking for a picture of the iceberg, I'm here for spoilers. i'm not gonna watch these movies, i'm here to learn about them and telling me to watch them instead of just saying what happens is annoying.
@@Air_Serpent He literally made a video about these movies. The least we can expect is that he did a more in-depth study than just copying IMDB and other movie summary sites. What's even the point of this video when the chart gives everything he does with a shallow google search? It's borderline plagiarism.
How do you have a Most Disturbing Movies Iceberg.... and not have A Serbian Film on it? Also, I think some others should be on this list like the Lucifer Valentine "vomit gore" trilogy, Where The Dead Go To Die, the August Underground movies, The Untold Story, Concrete, Silenced and Just Melvin, Just Evil.
where the dead go to die is both trippy and disturbing. Great pics. What about "kuso"? "black metal veins" is a lucifer valentine film, it was on the final tier, but you are right, the other films also deserve mention. and what about the other trippy disturbing films - like fando y lis, el topo, the holy mountain, ect.
I was looking for this comment. I feel like it feels a little bit pretentious of him not adding A Serbian film just because a lot of people thinks like its disturbing.
Serbian Film, Vomit Gore trilogy, August Underground series, Concrete, and I think The Untold Story are on the original iceberg. I personally like seeing different films on the iceberg I haven't heard of before and would actually watch. Although I did watch A Serbian Film and wish I could get that time back. Like, give me some unexpected entries. Spice it up.
It’s actually so annoying bro 😭, I can’t understand half of the stuff when he says the words in reverse or something, it annoys me so much. I would definitely understand if he said the first letter of the word he was saying and just bleeped the rest, that would be way more helpful
33:53 I think the movie the iceberg is referring to is Michael (2011) by Markus Schleinzer, the movie is about a pdf file that kidnaps a kid and lives a normal life while keeping the kid in his basement, it's a really interesting and well made film, really worth checking out
the poughkeepsie tapes isn't "scary" as such, it's profoundly disturbing though and very well-written. surprised to see so many films i've watched on this iceberg actually, i didn't realise i was that fucked up haha. also surprising that you can use words like "disemboweled" and "mutilated" without being demonetised but you can't say "pornography". censorship is weird. oh and props on the backing track, "never forgive me, never forget me" is one of my favourite tracks from sh2 :)
Haven’t watched the vid yet but hoping he mentions “Caligula” (1979), which is basically a biography of the emperor of Rome, Caligula, but for some reason the film was filled to the absolute brim with gore and sex, both aspects were very disturbing/disgusting
There are a few movies that were almost just too much for me: Flesh & Blood it's equally gross, set in the Dark Ages Andy Warhol's Dracula, it's Andy Warhol dealing with horror genre . Cringeworthy as ****. The Grudge, Japanese horror brought to you by the creators of The Ring. Horrifying. Stays with you forever. Blair Witch 2 I nearly pissed my pants, heart racing The White Worm Possessed nuns in H.P. Lovecraft styled movie, engage in orgies & blood baths, worshipping Lovecraftian Worm God. Wrong Turn 2 Henry Rollins goes out like a savage in this one inbred hillbillies , brutalize & eat campers & lost people from Los Angeles.
@@struggler6864 then maybe youtubers that cover sensitive topics uhh shouldn't care about monetization? the majority of content creator income comes from third party ad deals they take and do in the videos themselves, kicking the quality of the video off a cliff to get an extra few cents from youtube isnt worth it lol, this is ridiculous
@@struggler6864 I get that entirely. But the issue comes when you're making a living off of something that you actively can't make a living on. Imagine if you're a baker but you're not allowed to add sugar to anything. Do you just make cakes without sugar or do you switch to making bread?
I'm surprised you didn't mention 1993's The Untold Story. It's pretty much a spiritual predecessor to Ebola Syndrome (which I actually really like btw, I own an authentic Thai theatrical poster for it) but it's played almost completely straight while Ebola Syndrome is more of a black comedy. Untold Story also has one of the most horrifying sequences of violence ever put to film. It is also loosely based on a real crime that occurred in Macau in the 80s. Hong Kong has a ton of messed up and disturbing films. I'm shocked Men Behind the Sun wasn't lower down on the iceberg. That's probably one of the most fucked up films from Hong Kong. One of the most morbid things about the film was that since Hong Kong didn’t have much in the way of an effects industry at that point in time. All the gore was real, they used actual cadavers.
All the censorship is annoying cause you could be doing the dishes and then "bswisjdwhwhshs" You dont get a clear idea of what you're talking about... Be like, wendigoon, go around the word with a joke... The swirly words are annoying...
@@ItoMonito From how I understand the system, if his vid gets flagged then not only does he lose monetization but TH-cam will prevent his vids from being shown to people, even subscribers. So losing monetization is one thing, like you said he can roll ads or monetize elsewhere, but getting his channel kneecapped is way worse
I've seen the movie Contagion. High my school biology teacher put it on for us at the start of a unit on microbiology. Didn't think it was disturbing, but left the class that day thinking "damn that would really suck if it happened to us in this day and age" and then 2020 happened.
So interesting tidbits about Tumbling Doll Of Flesh: 1.- The director, Tamakichi Anaru, prior to this film? He was mostly well known for scat porn. Aroma Planning, the production company, produced his previous films alongside various shockumentaries, more vanilla porn and other 2 splatter films from him. 2.- The lead actress committed suicide by jumping in front of a train little before the film was released.
I looked into the lead actress and you are right. How sad. She was an AV actress so I assume she was having a rough life. Incidentally you replied to one of my comments on another video! Small world!
Can you at least upload the uncensored version somewhere else? Maybe patreon so you can make some extra money and not have to hold back. The censorship is unreal on these type of channels now.

Henry portrait of a serial killer is a masterpiece, Micheal rooker is an absolute powerhouse as Henry Lee Lucas such a dark and gritty horror film that i will haunt me for a long time.
I’m massively desensitised to horror, gore etc, but I think the most disturbing horror film to me has got to be Gerald’s Game. That film has so many layers of awfulness.
The film Irreversible, whatever its called, the one where the 2 guys go on to get revenge because the woman they both love is raped...is that the one with that horrendously brutal rape scene that takes place in an underpass like tunnel??
@therocknrollmillennial535 thanks. I'm trying to decide if I am going to skip that one or not on my movie list. I love gorey movies, so am pretty desensitized, but what little I saw of that scene ( on another disturbing movie list back before youtube went censor crazy), made my stomach crawl.
I have seen it three times. If you have motion sickness then i would advise to not watch it. It is not that gorey, i mean yeah someone gets his face smashed and you see the rape aftermath, but it is more disturbing. At first you may wonder what is even going on, but then it jumps out at you, lashes with razor sharp claws at your senses and leaves you confused and somewhat heartbroken. At least it did to me. Also, at the end is a heavy strobe effect. If you have epilepsy, dont watch after you see grass
@davidmeyer4506 hey, thanks for the pro-cons post. I think I'm gonna watch it. I have no issue with flashes, or any gore possible, only thing i definitely cant handle is animal cruelity. Thanks again.i appreciate it. 😊
The case of Sylvia Likens continues to be the crime that haunts me the most. I knew the movies were going to be on here but despite all the films I've seen on here far more disturbing, the titles still shake me. And those films couldn't even touch the real story and all that happened.
My goal one day is to watch these movies my curiosity has been peaked ever since wendigoon made a iceberg video about this and spooky rice reviewing these films
i'm surprised megan is missing isn't on here. back when netflix was genuinely good (so like over a decade ago), they had it available. a friend and i watched it, and it absolutely fucked us up. also, if cannibal holocaust is on an iceberg, i pretty much expect serbian film as well, so i'm surprised to see it's not here as well!
“Horrible reviews” has probably seen every disturbing movie u can think of and he doesn’t censor his words he has a 3 hour video on ranking them highly recommended
My father took us to see A Clockwork Orange in a movie theater. ME GLASSIES , ME GLASSIES!! his eyes pried open forced to listen to German classical composer Wagner. SINGING IN THE RAIN, SINGING IN THE RAIN !!
I'd say Jaws is still a horror, because it's not based on a real fear of sharks. Sharks were NOT as feared before the novel was written and notably the author of the novel regrets demonizing sharks this much which sparked a lot of unecessary abuse towards them. While yes sharks can hurt you, they're nowhere as scary as Jaws is potrayed.
Hey bro some constructive criticism maybe turn down or cut out all the background music. It’s really distracting. Not hate at all you are my favorite TH-camr by far.
Im a fan of a lot of your videos but this one just does not hit for me. Im only about 30 minutes in and it's already, unfortunately, frustrating to listen to. For being an iceberg explanation there's very little explaining actually going on. What doesn’t get pushed to the side with a "its a spoiler so you should watch it yourself," is just a brief description of what you can find on the back of the box. I understand if it's a movie review, but with a "Movies Explained" type video, spoilers are what's to be expected. And the censorship is annoying. I tried to think of a more constructive way to say that but I can't. It's just annoying. I understand why it's there, with the sanitization for monetization path TH-cam is on, but it doesn't make it any less detrimental to the overall video experience in my opinion. It says right in the title that these are going to be disturbing topics. But if so much is going to get censored then why even bother? I wouldn't be as bothered if there was at least a caption of what the censored word actually was, but there isn’t. And even with watching some parts over a few times I still can't decipher them. This is just tier three so i can't even beging to imagine how much more incomprehensible it's going to get with the even more disturbing movies. As I said from the start I'm a fan of a lot of your videos and its clear you put a lot of care and effort into them. This one just had some pretty glaring issues and it effects the overall enjoyment of the whole piece. I hope there's a way to find a middle ground in the future so that you can still earn from your hard work without taking a hit to user enjoyment. This is all my opinion though. I am no means trying to be aggressive or angry. And i hope you, and anyone who reads this, is having a good day ^^
Dear Zachary being considered Tier 5 or Angst and Begotten being Tier 6 is beyond laughable. Just a god awful iceberg where the maker of it clearly hasn't watched any of the films.
Something absolutely fascinating (to me) about Jaws, is it actually instilled actual phobia in people! People who previously weren't galeophobic had -- and have! Galeophobia, even now!
I propose a Sourcebrew livestream with this video…And everyone has to take a drink whenever he censors something. Probably be plastered within 15 minutes…
I’m surprised ‘Tusk’ wasn’t featured in Tier 1 - 3. Spoilers below. An American podcaster gets kidnapped by a serial killer while on a trip to Canada. The killer has an obsession with walruses and a hatred for humanity, so much so that he surgically turns his captive into a human-walrus by sewing the podcaster into a walrus-suit made out of human skin. The victim’s tongue is removed, his legs are cut off, and his arms are sewn to the sides of his torso. His “tusks” are made from his own tibia bones as well. The end result is a mutilated man in a big skin-suit who can only scream and cry. He’s eventually found by his friends, but it’s too late. He has completely mentally broken down and believes himself to be a walrus. So, they put him in a zoo. I’m not kidding. In the last shot of the film you can see him shedding a tear, hinting that he’s still very much human deep down inside but can’t convey it. He’s stuck and now has to spend his life in an enclosure, as a walrus. It’s a dark comedy, pretty disturbing at times, and very memorable.
Slight criticism: the reversed audio censoring is confusing. Because there are still syllables and phonetics in the reversed sound your brain tries to figure out what was being said rather that filling in the blanks like with normal censoring. There's a few that i still don't know what tf was censored. In the future maybe just bleep it? I think it might be easier to follow that way.
why would i be watching this video if i watched every single movie on the list.. with disturbing movies like this, i think it's best to just share as much as you can in the video as many people dont really have the stomach for some of the stuff mentioned
I'm genuinely surprised that movie and Ichi the Killer never appear in the icebergs. I'd argue Oldboy is horror from start to finish: isolation torture, physical torture, psychological trauma, incest. It's just not the usual formula.
If you don't think 'Gone Girl' is a horror movie, you've never been in a crazy relationship before. When I watch that movie, it starts with: "Inspired by True Events."
About to start the video, but had to stop and say I appreciate the footage from Young Man's Fancy in the intro. Definitely my favorite of the Jam Handy shorts. Alexander Phipps would be proud.
I'm really glad The Cook, The thief, His with, Her lover is getting a mention. It always gets overlooked in icebergs like this. It's not the most fucked up movie but the dual themes of violence and beauty mixed with the duality of food and sex as the ultimate forms of pleasure is just so interesting and clever to watch. I dunno if it's actually trying to say anything but it's beautiful. Like you cam smell this movie it's so beautiful. Just a little more detail of the plot though. The thief doesn't actually cook the guy. He does kill him by stuffing him full of pages, but it's his wife that asks the cook to to roast him then forced her husband to eat him at gunpoint. It's kinda funny cause up until that point the whole thing has just been a very violently intense drama. It's just been artsy Taxi Driver up until the last 5 minutes then, boom. Honey Roasted human. And the wife is all "Try the penis. I can assure you. It's delicious * And he does and she shoots him and it's like what the fuck! It's great. Very much recommend.
Who care about him he is a fake that makes everything about himself every few minutes any video he does. Don't know why he even popular in the first place. if you really look at him you can see he doesn't care about what he talking about it's just easy views to him.
Lol, didn’t know this many people hated wendigoon, I started watching recently because of turkey tom. His content isn’t the best but not thaaattt bad. 😂
Fun fact! Ratings G-R were copyrighted, but not X, which is why porn started to use it later on At some point I think in the late 80s/early 90s, the rating switched to (the now copyrighted) NC-17
"Starring kids you wouldn't think it could be that scary" dude, that easily makes it worse. For one there's the whole things being done to them, but also kids are known for being remarkably cruel if circumstances in their lives promote such behaviour. It's the lack of lived understanding of good and bad and death and pain in others that can make kids absolutely heartless.
To loosely quote one of the top comments on the 10 hour lost media iceberg video, can we appreciate Sourcebrew putting his entire Sourcebrussy into making more than an hour long videos every single month lmao.

I’m curious if anyone else expected Tusk to at least be on one of the top layers(1/2/3). I thought it would’ve made it, it disturbed me and my roommates when we watched it.
When I first saw Suicide Club about 10 or 12 years ago, I didn't think it was that disturbing. The only movie that really bothered me was Requiem for a Dream. I watched it once and that was enough.
hey so i'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing this but i didn't get this video in my feed until 4 days after it was uploaded, which is strange because i watch this type of content all the time so it *should* be recommending me more like it, and i'm subscribed
I’m late to comment but the soundtrack of Sinister is what really made it scary for me. I LOVE horror films and I don’t really get creeped out by them nowadays, but any time I watch Sinister, the music during the tapes playing makes my skin crawl. it’s just so unsettling!
Half the audio in this video is more garbled than a death metal song. I know you have to be careful of what you say but I'd suggest trying to do what other TH-camrs do and use euphemisms. Other than that this video isn't bad. Im always on the lookout for a movie I might decide to watch
To anyone looking to watch "the girl with the dragon tattoo", i highly suggest you watch the trilogy that was made before it, based on the novels of the same name. Millenium, however it is originally in swedish, but i'm sure subbed versions exist

The title sais disturbing not scary and SA is one of the most if not the most disturbing things
yeah no shit dude, SA is one of the worst things a person can experience, so of course movies get made about the subject matter. idk why you're surprised. You don't seem to be annoyed that a lot of them are also just "murder".

Yes, that's unfortunately the one.

Vividly remember my older brother babysitting me when I was like 7, told him I wanted to watch a scary movie and he chose Hostel.
I’m curious if anyone else expected Tusk to at least be on one of the top layers(1/2/3). I thought it would’ve made it, it disturbed me and my roommates when we watched it.
Oh fuck yeah!!
When I first saw Suicide Club about 10 or 12 years ago, I didn't think it was that disturbing. The only movie that really bothered me was Requiem for a Dream. I watched it once and that was enough.
Classic.. "The Birds" 🐦🐥🐤
hey so i'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing this but i didn't get this video in my feed until 4 days after it was uploaded, which is strange because i watch this type of content all the time so it *should* be recommending me more like it, and i'm subscribed
6:13 the underwater diving jumpscare in Jaws is better than 90% of modern horror movies
To anyone looking to watch "the girl with the dragon tattoo", i highly suggest you watch the trilogy that was made before it, based on the novels of the same name. Millenium, however it is originally in swedish, but i'm sure subbed versions exist
How can you even do this without having seen most of them?
How can people write and publish dictionaries without knowing all 170,000 words in the English language
@@Dseraph1808 not the same, the guy on the video has no idea of the movies he is talking about.
Because it's just not worth it. You'll have to find someone who's willing to do it or already has.
@@Air_Serpent the question is why creatying this video to begin with then. Imagine the video named "Harry Potter books explained" but autor just reading the wikipedia summaries on all of them.
Sinister gave me nightmares for weeks as a kid
I don't know if I should feel proud or disappointed to know and have watched so many of these. Thanks for the video 🙏🏻 I'll go watch the ones I haven't seen to lose whatever is left of my sanity
Some of these sound like they’re just trying to be disgusting without a plot😂 Boxing Helena and Polyester are pretty disturbing
The exorcist hell yeah! Not all that scary if you're an adult but still extremely entertaining and a great story, even as an atheist I loved the plot and was cracking up every time Reagan would start cursing like a sailor 🤣🤣
I have never seen an entire class of college cry until our teacher made us watch Dancers in the dark. Its so so good and I absolutely recommend it but men is it. So so sad and realistic.
Same teacher also made us watch Festen XD ...it was fun XD
Cremator is NOT about a serial killer! He's a regular guy who after certain things happening in the country kinda snapped and killed his wife and child. He is NOT a serial killer 😭 Even the wikipedia is correct about this, please. Also it's an incredibly unsettling movie and the book it's based on is just as unsettling (the twist in both medias happened JUST as fast, just one page BAM, he tells his wife if she could hang herself, incredible)
yes, I'm gonna make a video on something I can't talk about.
"Just imagine this, it's awful, there you go."
what's worse, making something that you have to censor or to not make anything at all?
@@loopzys both lol sthu
Fun fact about Salo: Actors did not know that it would be as disturbing as it came out because they had a lot of fun filming it.
Fun fact: Marilyn Manson used A LOT of footage from Begotten for two of his music videos.
Edit: also for some weird reason, despite The Green Elephant being a very disturbing movie, it is apparently a big meme in Russia.
