@Ken Able So the competition MUST be at a podium where they are completely motionless. According to who? The art of communicating with a large group of human beings would include all those things. I think it's much more likely that you just aren't good at some or all of those things, and it upsets you.

Aaron is so much more than a mechanically sound speaker with contagious stage presence and honed delivery skills; more than a talker - he's a teacher; more than keynoter - he's an ambassador of acceptance and love; who transformed the common topic of 'cultural diversity' into 'cultural Commonality.' So cool that he didn't let himself get in the way of his life changing message that epitomizes the unwritten 'mission' of Toastmasters International: 'Seek To Bless, Not Impress.' Whoa! Congrats!!

I was interested in Toastamasters but I never thought of looking it up online right until this moment. I got curious and so I searched it up for the first time here on TH-cam and clicked this video. After watching this I said: I know God lead me here to this video on this day, at this time and in this very moment. Knowing what’s going on in our world right now and how people are protesting, supporting and fighting for the rights and the lives of our black brothers and sisters. This story gave me chills because I’m unexpectedly watching this in these times and circumstances that were going through. Makes this video very special to me. We should understand and learn more from the stories and experiences from the black communities ❤️

To be frank, this speech is very inspiring and encouraging. it doesn't begin or proceed with boring statement or any argument to make a point; instead, it starts with funny story, dynamic and dramatic behavior to make it vivider, and strikes the audiences' heart when it's to the end with a sensible and reasonable argument. Nice to enjoy the champion show!

@@MinhQuan-jj2dx- you ask this over and over, in the comments. Did you try writing out a transcript of this or any other winning speech? Of course it needs to be a piece that reads well. There has to be a good structure to the parts, and a “through-line” or idea that carries all the way through. Add to a “good script” with strong nonverbal communication- like expressive gestures, or exciting body language, or even the use of physical props, as well as vocal dynamics like creating beats through inflection, changes in pitch, speed, and timing, use of pauses. All speeches, stories, performances OR scripts, need to start with writing which is worth reading.

As organised by an organisation with clubs spread in towns and cities all over the world called 'toastmasters'. The purpose of the clubs worldwide are to assist individuals to develop, work at and grow in their public speaking and leadership skills. Competitions get organised by the organisation such as the above and smaller regional or national focused competitions. I'm a member of 'godiva speakers' in Coventry United Kingdom...I need to deliver my first icebreaker speech soon 👋
