      Yeaa despite the imbalance they look good because of their good assets… but it’s not natural-looking because the balance is off. That’s the point of this video

      thats the point you can still look good but it'll look a little weird, if its an editorial or experimental look then ofc go for it and have fun, but if you want the natural vibe if the look is balanced you get that ~flawless~ not even trying look. also like what the other person said they're all models or popular influencers so theyre naturally very pretty and know how to take good pics so its hard to look like a total mess.

      @@caringcherry Thank you for putting in your 2 cents because it was actually super helpful! Do you think that brow + lips would look, I guess more flattering, on people with a mature face shape? Also, when you describe your face as a baby face, do you mean like a more round, cherub face shape? Sorry if I'm misunderstanding. Whenever I think of baby face, I think cherub, round shape and mature as more angular face shape like a diamond.

      @@BlizzardxThexWolf Yes! In my opinion, the eyebrows + lips combo gives you a more mature look. As for what I meant by my baby face, my face is a bit wider than most, and my cheeks are more fleshy & plump. But at the same time, my jaw is sharp and defined, so I'm a mix of both.

    I do a brows and blush combo, which isn't mentioned here. It creates a softer look and brings the focal point to the upper regions of your face. I have a rounded face, due to being overweight, and this helps to bring the focal point upwards and away from my chin and jawline. For make up I started focusing on eyes and skin. I do the cat eye-inner corner thing, with a long but really thin (it's better w hooded eyes) brown eyeliner. I use a tinted mosturize, bronzer, blush and hilighter. And that's it. I don't touch my brows, if I'm feeling fancy a trasparent gel or a few dots at the start of the brows to make then look closer (the closer the eyebrows, the slimmer the nose). But I really focus on the eyes, the base is soft and doesn't take much attention (i recently started using a beauty blender and omg it makes everything look so much more natural) But the focal points are eyes + eyebrows. I had to accept that brows are a focal point on my face, so I need to count them as one, even if I don't put product on them.I rarely use lipstick (I usually go for a subtle line around them and a chapstik/tinted oil, bc if I go even as small as two shade darker than my lips than it's like doing 3 focal point (eyes, brows, lips) and on my face it's clearly too much and I end up removing it. (This might be because I have really huge lips, but I think it would apply even if I had smaller ones), so lipstick is a big no for me.
      I know this was a long message I'm sorry idk how to write short ones 😩

    I’ve been experimenting with this as well and my tip is to start your make up with the feature you want to focus on, so that you can balance the rest of the make up on other feature to make it just enough. It’s easy to always start with the eyes and end with lips and then realise you’ve made your eyes (and other features) too intense for the intended look. If I know I want a bold lip + cheek I start there so that I can be subtle with the brow and eyes. Such an informative channel!!!

    Great video but im a little confused since I wear glasses, so which of these are most suitable for glasses? Perhaps cheeks+lips combo?? In one of your videos you mentioned that we could avoid doing heavy eye makeup on glasses as it is usually not too visible because of the light reflecting on them.

    • @CrazyNuggetLady
      @CrazyNuggetLady ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Same here! They did do a video on makeup for glasses, and tbh its better to focus more on your eyebags than your upper lid. Blush doesn't show up as much. Depending on what glasses you may wear it may be better to make your eyebrows lighter or darker. It can be a bit confusing and very situational which is why I think they didn't go over glasses in this video. For me, my glasses are color and transparent, and I hate my lips, so I'm going for a brow+eye look, or cheek+brow look.

      I haven't watched full video yet but experimenting with some stuff till now I have reached same conclusion. I realized it few yrs ago that eyes are a no go for me bcz I barely did makeup but whenever I went there, it was bad. It's acceptable if I use only a lil winged eyeliner but add anything else specially any color on the lower lid or smoky eyes (I loved smoky eyes on others so always wanted that but I had to accept that it's not for me). I too have round chubby face (I have regular body weight, it's just my face is fat) and all my features are soft but I do have thicker lips with no cupid bow. I am Indian so my brows are already dark. One mistake I was making which I realized a month ago is using dark lip shade. I was like sth is wrong but I can't figure it out. I saw that orangish red color but I thought it's too light for me but recently I went to a store and ask sth that would suit me and he showed one in pink(bcz I said that I usually wear pink) and one in orangish red & I asked which one should I buy & he said pink is a lil too bright for my skin tone (I was using similar lip color & I always thought bright looks good on a fair skin), I trusted his word & bought that one & it was perfect. I went to cousin's wedding that same day and I even asked parlor lady and shr said I should apply that one & that color I always thought is way too light for me. For me it's just light peachy blush and an orangish red nude lipstick or burgundy lipstick (if I want a bolder look) is working at least for now. For eyes a lil bit of very light color works but it's good even without that. My face just can't handle bright makeup & that too is a bit hard to accept when you loved eye makeup and dreamt of doing that when you grow older but you have hooded small eye.

    Oh this video was super helpful! Previously, I always started with the eyes and ended with the lips, as a result, the makeup turned out like a filter, I didn’t recognize myself in the mirror as if. Then I realized that I naturally have rather thick and dark eyebrows and voluminous lips, so they will be emphasized in any case. At the same time, I do not have a very large upper eyelid, so when I applied a lot of shadows, it became even smaller. Due to the fact that many makeups emphasize eye enlargement, and I thought that I should also focus on this. Now I try to focus on the lips and eyebrows, and not try to remake my face, and it seems to me that it looks more harmonious, and on the eyes I apply mascara, small liner and a little sculptor, highlighter.

    wow! without watching this beforehand, ive noticed that sometimes i did my makeup w many focus points such as eyes lips cheeks brows and it made my face look so heavy!!!! so i started to focus more on my eyes and my lips and noticed i looked much more balanced. i started doing my eyebrows very subtle and light, making my eyes pop with some glitter , light blush (i used to put heavy blush cuz it was trending but i noticed it looked too heavy on me), and tinted lips !!! now i look much more natural. after watching this video , it all made sense to me! ofc everyone suits different type of 2 sets of focal points. thx for this vid!

    one tip for people that have BIG eyes.
    DO NOT do the AEGYOSAL technique if you have a lot of eyelid showing
    i personally have a lot of eyelid folds and a very prominent eyelid space (basically my eyelids looking everything but hooded)
    so the aegyosal technique disrupts the balance and makes it look weird for how even tho i already have an eyelid focal point in my eye area,the aegyosal tends to create another one making my eyes look weird and EVEN SMALLER.
    instead just do not touch the undereye at all, add a pencil kohl shade on your waterline (same shade as the waterline which is majorly shades of beige for everyone), do not overdo ur bottom lashes, they should not be prominent, just make them look tad whispy and done. keep the focus on ur upper eye space.
    let me know if someone wants me to elaborate more!

    • @danielasanchez4674
      @danielasanchez4674 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Makes sense, the aegyosal is to make the illusion that you have bigger eyes. So when you already have big eyes, it's just gonna look weird. That's a pretty good observation, thank you

    I think this is a good guide for everyday makeup if you don’t want a lot of attention and time spent on your makeup. However it’s not always bad to put a lot of details into ur makeup especially if you know how to blend in and match the colors and everything. Ofc it would be more work but still beautiful!

    All of this is excellent for everyday makeup, although one notes that stage and photo shoot makeup rely heavily on what they used to call a "full face". (Onstage you need the audience to see you under the strong lights, and for photo shoots--well, need I say more.) That being said, I like the idea of emphasizing one or two features at a time, as the result doesn't look so overdone when you're walking down the street.
    (I have a heart shaped face, strong sharp bones, vivid coloring--high visual weight, you might say. Make of that what you will.)

    In my case, my go to is the eyes+lips combo. But, mixed with the eyebrows. I have a full rounded, cheeky face and full lips, medium eyes, but high forehead. So, I need to work many aspects. At the end, I tend to go always with a bold lips and mascara + eyebrows look. No blush, but dewy skin.
