idk if thats a compliment for a horror creator but this triggered some childhood memories of mine in a best and worst way possible. As a person who spent first half of life in a countryside house in woods, with lack meals on a table, cold corridors, slavic songs quietly playing from dads radio and dark snowy nights - this hits so many spots, man. This gifted me lost memories about being aftaid to look in the window after midnight, because tons of scary stories from parents being told before bedtime. Memories about what my brain saw in the dark corners and halls. Memories about the first time I've read the plot twist of the story about four people in the hut trying not to sleep, walking from corner to corner in a circle. This is my love letter to you and your artworks, you are incredibly talented and the whole series is on insane level of profeccionalism, the atmosphere got me tweaking. Gonna force all of my friends to watch this. Absolute cinema + perfect music choice and sound design in general
Here today after seeing Nexpo's new video. Had to put it on pause since I wanted to watch the original content myself. Great stuff! Hope to see more in the future!
One of the most underappreciated creators, I absolutely adore the vibes of this. I haven't finished watching, but I just felt the need to already leave a comment. I'm so excited!
The concept is awesome. A creature that kills already helpless victims, which are starving, but leaves some to starve with it, suffering because they can't die? That's some spooky stuff.
I think this is your best production so far. I'm glad Nexpo send me over. For some reason I really enjoy your narratives and storytelling, even tho sometimes I dont fully understand everything. So if you keep creating these I would love to see more script/lore development since visual are already outsdanding.
@@reddiamond8846 No problem. I've created a list of analog horror stuff that I want to watch based on this long "A.H. Iceberg" and surprisingly NEXPO made a comment there mentioning your work - th-cam.com/video/tzA0MJhgK2A/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TgL90MPGR-Ih4HlN
As so many others, I was sent here by NExpo, and I've gotta say, this definitely awoke a primal fear in me that I thought I'd left behind in my childhood home in the countryside. All these videos are well-crafted, and it's obvious that a lot of forethought and passion was put into every second of this.
Unreal how good this is. You have to keep making this stuff. I've watched like, every Analog Horror series that exists, and your work is easily in my top 5. It really hits the perfectly "dreamlike" quality that I love, lots of surrealist imagery and obscure narrative. 10/10.
I love how this series takes advantage of just how truly haunting and terrifying the silence of a nightime snowfall. Ive never seen it before in horror, and I'm loving it.
This is one interesting video we’ve seen so far, really liked the way the atmosphere and the visuals are amazing. Very disturbing and cool, continue with what you do whether it is making stuff or doing work and always have a wonderful day. Keep up the good work as well 👍
using the song “Тёмная ночь” or “dark is the night” in english is such a perfect and eerie way to depict the unforgiving circumstances of this creature
Oh my lord, first I would to say welcome back and I hope everything is going well for you. Secondly, I would like to say that this was just amazing. There was so much buildup to what I see as an extremely dark ending that is cold and effective. The mix of standard video and VHS is really solid and had a lot of chilling atmosphere. What a great video we have here. Well done!
Again sent from Nexpo, commented on your first vid too. This one is ever better than the last one! This "monster" is SO insanely cool and the deer theme is one of my absolute favorites! Keep up the amazing work!
I'm here not only because Nexpo sent us, but also because this is the best analog horror I've seen so far! Please keep it up, we all are eagerly waiting for your new uploads. Also I just love the fact that you used Dark is the night as background music, it is such a great fit!
If this isn't connected to the Oakburn series, then this is a great take on the Wendigo legend. Of course, no cannibalism happens, but just the whole vibe of being cold, alone, and with something that would very much like to partake in eating you. Great job.
Is the music played at 7:04 an original soundtrack made for this? If so, is there a chance you might release the music on a separate video or channel? If it's an edited song from another source I'd really love to see where it came from because it really is one of the most atmospheric pieces of music I've heard in a long time. Especially because the song reminds me of the sounds I've heard in dreams. I've been trying to replicate the sounds to some degree in my own time with FL studio and a collection of VST's and samples but the song played here is probably the one time I've heard something that resembles the songs in my dreams the most. Also, I really love the work you've put into your videos. I've never really been much of a fan for analogue horror, but what you've created has surpassed my expectations and is likely one of my most favorite pieces of horror I've ever seen online. Be proud of your work, because you've certainly more than earned it.
Hey, excellent video! Just out of curiosity, does your version of wendigo have three heads or are these some kind of ritualistic shoulderpads? Also can you give me the name of the song from intro and outro? Not the Night is Dark
How in the hell is it a good choice? This is a melancholic/grim/dramatic song about war written in 1943. Under the impressions from the horrible war. Now used out of context for the "whoa, scary!" factor.
@@blackbloodstaralexp The video talks about following someone following their love and other themes related to the song. Now it isn't a perfect choice due to the war factor but it's still an understandable choice as it's a Russian song and the video takes place in Alaska, a former Russian territory. though also during the time this video takes place the Russian population in Alaska was almost non-existent. It's a fitting song that a person who doesn't understand Russian will think is just some unsettling song for the video.
Bit late, but also here from Nexpo. I've watched a lot of this stuff, you have something really good going on here, hope you get enough new hits to justify continuing the project. It would be a shame not to.
Me and my friends all started theorizing about this, and we are trying to identify a few things still. Is the fifth person the wife or the Wendigo, what is the Wendigo rejected for, and what was that glowing thing in the sky (its not a moon.) This specific video also seemed significantly different from every other one, with a lot less focus on the lovecraftian and more on the terror of the creature itself. I personally still think this video is my favorite. Another thing I would like confirmed is if the creature at the end of oakburn part II is this same creature, or something separate entirely. If the Wendigo is a reject, then why is it helping the flutist? Either way, this might be one of if not my favorite analogue horror video ever uploaded
What if we're wrong about the creature What if They died from the cold and hunger. And the creature in a way it's bringing them peace They aren't going to starve alone.
The creature is inspired from the Folklore creature, The Wendigo, if I'm correct. Wendigos are always starving (same as this creature) Deer skulls as heads (same as the creature, except this one has three accounting skulls) Skinny bone structure (same as the creature) And it lives in a cold, dead, forest with no life. If I'm right.. it's inspired by my personally favourite folklore legend... The Wendigo. 9:01
This is great work in some parts but it suffers from a pitfall common to many AH works, which is that it's really not Analog at all and is hurt by trying to adhere to that more than anything. No one is actually recording this. There's no found footage at play. It's a visual representation of a story in a given style, but it's not actually a piece of in-universe media. In that sense, sticking things like scan lines or other visual artefacts in it feels entirely superfluous. This is a good short horror film with a particular narrative direction that for some reason uses an aesthetic without the implications it carries, and is lesser for it. Still a good work though.
Nexpo just sent you some new fans, and deservedly so. Outstanding work!
Same here!
this is so creepy in all the right ways. No excessive gore, jumpscares, shock horror. It's just pure fucking atmosphere. Delicious. Thank you.

They died from the cold and not the creature didn't they I Think It's there because It doesn't want them to die alone.

Heyo! Fantastic story so far, looking forward to what comes next. Nexpo showed us your work, and frankly, it's god damn amazing.
Horrifying! I absolutely love this! Thanks for the recommend, Nexpo!
You have seriously created one of the most amazing and scary things I've ever seen. Thank you so much
Of the three you posted, this is the best one. Loved the atmosphere!
