Hello 👋 there is an error on the date of when my uncle 이만호목사 passed away. It is meant to say 13/12/2021. I accidentally put 12/12/2021 as that was the last day I saw him before he passed away. 고인의 명복을 빕니다 ♡.
Love it!! I’m living in U.S. but born and raised in Korea, the places and hanbok한복 in the video recall my memories of Korea! Thank you for making this video Hangukhapa!❤️
This was a fascinating look into the development of Korea town in New Malden which I found interesting and informative and a good insight into one of London's lesser known communities. Thanks for posting this!
Highly informative and thought provoking. Loved it! Major props to you for your contributions to the Korean community and culture so far. Looking forward to more.
Love this💕 it’s so nice to hear some Korean history based in the UK! Always wondered why New Malden became UK’s Korea Town. Hope to see you again at more events!
Was a good watch and was great learning about the history of New Malden and its Korean population, gutted I missed out on the festival performances, they seemed cool but was able to check out the stalls at least. Look forward to the upcoming vids ✌️
Great video, Becky! I enjoyed watching this, the fact that I learned something new today. New Malden is not only just a town full of Korean shops and restaurants but also a home where culture connects people with diverse background. Well done, @Hanguk Hapa!😍 also, this video makes me wanna visit again and explore New Malden! Maybe food trip or some mukbang lol (Also, kudos to Marc! Amazing videographer indeed 😉😁)
Really great effort for explaining the history and insight of Korean influence in New Malden!! Looking forward to more :) (makes me miss Korea each time though, not gonna lie...lol)
Great video Becky. I definitely want to go to New Malden! My parents lived there when Elaine was born/little but shortly left just before I was born and just never been back since. It’s usually just Chinatown in big metropolitan cities but glad there’s a Koreatown in the UK too!! ❤️
Hey Jen thank you so much! And I never knew your parents lived in New Malden thats so interesting. Next time you and Elaine are down lets get some Korean food in Korea town!
Great video, HH! I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into it. And thanks for including The Not So Korean Podcast in there as well :) Blessings to Pastor Lee and sorry for your loss...
Thank you so much Tim! And thank you more for providing photos, videos and knowledge to help me make this video the best it can be. And all the sharing and promoting of New Malden that Not So Korean Podcast do!
This is really interesting Becky, we love seeing all your informative and mouth watering videos and posts. Can't wait to see more! Keep up the good work ❤
I really enjoyed watching your video so interesting, so well explained ✨💛! We also can catch that you are such a kind hearted person this is so great to watch you explain with passion 🥰
I've lived in Kingston since I was a kid and have seen the growth of the Korean presence in New Malden over the years. I have to say the Korean influence has really improved the town. I think first became aware of the influence when the Korea/Japan 2002 world cup was on. Had a couple of great evening's in the Han bar with great food and some brilliant (quite drunken) singing in it's karaoke rooms afterwards.
Well done, HH! No worries about any sound issues - there's always a way around problems! Well done to you and all involved (including us ㅋㅋㅋ ...;) 🤣 Can't wait for more videos...

Heard you on the food programme (R4) and was wondering what the plant-based options are like for Korean food in New Malden ( even though that was about spam haha)?
Wow didnt know that the next largest North Korean settlement is in New Malden!! (Can i say that i would actually be interested to read your 10k dissertation? 🤭)
Maria! Thank you for your comment and all the work you do for KBCE, it doesn't go unnoticed! And yes of course, if you send me your email privately I can send it to you!

Amazing! I need to visit New Malden now that I’m an expert on it. RIP to Pastor Manho Lee 🙏 he would be proud of this video!

I absolutely love this. I hope it grows even bigger than la ktown where even tourists would visit. Cause it is so unique and special
나도!!! I hope New Malden can be as big as LA Ktown. Let's do more Korean foodie events in New Malden!
Heard you on the food programme (R4) and was wondering what the plant-based options are like for Korean food in New Malden ( even though that was about spam haha)?
Thank you! Lots of Korean food is naturally vegan. Alternatively you can ask them to not use fish sauce
@@HangukHapa Okay. Thanks for the tip. Starting a new job in Wimbledon at the end of the month so hopefully I'll get chance to explore at some stage.

Was there a backlash from the local community as the house prices rose?
Hello 👋 I think many residents liked this factor as it increased the value of their property!
I've lived in New Malden from the 80s im proud ❤
Awesome, who knew New Malden was so cool 😎
Thank you so much Nic, appreciate it!! Looking forward to the next one :)
I lived in New Malden 10 years ago with a North Korean family. Great experience but that's when I realized I'm against unification!
