I love this video Zoe! It was so nice to meet you and get to show you around New Malden , I really like how you narrated this to capture the place where North and South Koreans live harmoniously together. Let's meet when you're next in town!
Love your videos, Zoe! When I lived in London me and my partner would go to New Malden often for the food and culture! Definitely try K Town BBQ - it's amazing food and they have a wide selection of soju, too!
Wow, this video is quite a revelation! To be honest, each time I watch a new video produced by you @Zoe Discovers there is a ton of things I learn. Kudos!
Very interesting! I never knew there was such a community in the UK, if I ever get to visit London this is the first place of my list to visit. Amazing content as always
I have just watched your fascinating video about New Malden. Actually, I used to frequent New Malden every so often in the late 1990s to visit a friend who lived there. I did notice back then a heavy Korean influence, I was even invited to dinner by a random Korean lady on the train. Another subject, given the recent demise of HM The Queen, which you could cover is how the DPRK/North Korea produced a series of stamps on the British Royal Family during the 1980s?
Unfortunately there is no specific DPRK culture there since 1. The DPRKoreans keep quiet and don’t make too much fuss of their identity I suppose and 2. Korean culture is Korean 🤷🏼♀️. There are events praising both two cultures but I suppose these are more specific events - not so much in the town generally
What North Korean? You mean the family member of North Korean diplomat or North Korean defector? North Korean can't leave their country freely. I don't understand what you are talking about. If you want to see North Korean live with South Korean, then just come to South Korea. We have tons of North Korean defectors.
You have yet to show us a North Korean prison camp. Are you allowed to film those or are you going to tell us those don't exist and become a proper propoganda tool for this dictator?
Neither! 😊. I usually ignore stuff like this but anyway; this channel is purely to show a different side not reported in the media. If you wish to see prison camps please go somewhere else, it’s never going to be shown here as the aim is to *not* discuss camps, rockets, dictators etc as the media usually does but instead rehumanise the issue and show people what *else* goes on inside North Korea. Feel free to unsubscribe if you think that’s not for you, but otherwise please stop requesting prison camps. People wonder if what I do is ethical and honestly I question the ethics of people wanting to see prison camps all the time 😬

they did indeed! I could certainly do something on that. I wish I had some...
Great video.
Very nice video.
I saw a great variety of ROK products and cultural influences but I am uncertain whether any DPRK cultural influences were shown.

Army here 💜
I want to visit in June 2023!
Please tell me what fascination of n Korea is? U actually went there?
Yo there is a big Tamil population in new malden, recently got twinned with Jaffna. U should go check out the Tamil population here too
Cool I didn't know!
North Korea or South Korea?
Both, although there's way more South Koreans. There's about 20,000 South Koreans and 700 North Koreans.

These are mainly North Korean defectors, yes!
@@ZoeDiscovers defectors who would have needed to move to South Korea or China first
Isn't Korean Chinese just North Korean? Lol
Nope it’s a whole ethnic group
