I've followed you for so long that I remember the days of the turquoise 85L Osprey backpack 😂 But yay for another packing vid, my favourite content: hope I can also be inspired to down size for my next trip. Hope your Georgia trip was amazing 🇬🇪

I'm currently packing the same backpack, but some how it looks like you fit a lot more in. I'm trying to keep it within 7-10kg, so maybe that's the difference. Or I need to try rearranging... Hope you're having a wonderful trip! 🌸Heidi
Very cool to see my favourite concept, one bag travel taken on by my favourite travel TH-camr Christianne! It was cool to see how you cut down from the usual items you’d take. 🥹thanks for another awesome video. I hope you enjoy the trip 🙌
Love how you’re getting more and more into minimal packing!! If you’re ever in the US long enough to order something online, you should check out the Warby Parker Scout contact lenses! They are flat pack, so the packaging is just as thick as a few sheets of paper…about 10+ of them fit in the same space as 2 regular contact lenses 😲
A great video you did soo well fitting all that In that little bag I am a real over packer I need too take a leaf out of your book thank you for sharing happy holiday x
Girl if you ever do need to bring a soap bar, you should try out the matador soap bar case. It dries from the inside out and doesn’t get anything wet it is literally amazing.
Thanks so very much for this video I have been looking forward to this video. I am in Malaysia with my global companion 40 L and Kånken 13” laptop it’s a smaller setup than my first year out but I still feel like I’m carrying way too much. My biggest issue is clothes I think. When I head home next year I’ll planning to change my backpack to something smaller. Will be interested to hear how you get on with your new backpack. Have a great trip. Hopefully catch up in June July next year? 😊
The amount of zips on that north face jacket 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 Totally agree with the loop earplugs..game changers for dorm rooms compared to other earplugs. To save space on your washing line, I use “peg less washing lines” where there are twists that you poke your clothes into so that when you’re not using it, it takes up less space in your bag. Also I use the sea to summit clothes washing leaves that take up less space than the sheets too which could be an option. With that Ugreen multi plug you have; does it power your laptop enough to be editing on Final Cut Pro whilst using it? I’ve had to bring my duckhead adaptor because the other adapters I had weren’t powerful enough to cope with editing and charging at the same time 🫠
@@BackpackingBananas btw in case you weren’t already aware Boots airport click & collect past security is good option if done few days ahead if you need full size not overpriced toiletries x
I've been going to Europe for a couple of times a year since 1997 I use a backpack that is an equivalent to the 28 l Cotopaxi in size I also tote a travel size CPAP That takes up about 20% of the volume Besides basic toiletries and an umbrella, a cap, a fleece and charging cable - plug.... I pack two of everything Two bottoms Two tops Two socks Two underwear And laundry detergent
Wow this was pretty cool seeing you pack in a 28 liter bag! But I'm surprised that they let you also bring a bum bag. Here in the states that would count as a personal item, too.
Girl, how did you not stuff your ag1 packs in your jacket pockets! As for deodorant I have been using "sachets" , I don't know if they sell them everywhere... Great video, please do an unpacking one! ❤
just came back from 3 months europe/Quebec and agree w u on the shampoo bar and soap bar i bought, to annoying to deal with, will just do lil shampoo/cond bottle next time
I never pack shampoo and body wash because i can find them in every hostel/hotel. For deodorant i use sachet size, for moisturizer i use a refill one (it can lay flat in my bag). For backpacking i always pack under 7kg, because i use LCC and that's the weight that i'm comfortable to bring everywhere
I’m currently backpacking with my 65L hiking pack. I’m going to multiple countries/climates so it’s been hard to pack but it’s not until I’m out in the world that I realise how much I don’t need! I’m going to try sending some things home with my sister in a few days lol 😂
Planning a six month trip to South America with carry on only and love your minimalist packing videos!! But how do you deal with all the extra stuff you have to buy at the airport that doesn't fit in anymore? 😄
I just make it work somehow, it fits, it just requires a bit of Tetris 😅 and other things in the bag like my contact lenses gradually decrease which makes it easier!
Hi, I really liked the video! I've got a question though - which airline do you fly to Georgia? Cuz for the most budget airlines like Ryanair, Wizzair, etc. this backpack is too big to be considered as a personal item bag 😞 or you intentionally brought a slightly bigger bag? If so, did you have any problems at the airport? How strict they are with the personal bag measurements?
you can go further with minimizing- you dont wanna squees every time you wanna re-pack and you might buy things like food- so you wanna leave some room for that the point is to make it also easy on yourself also with weight and enjoy carrying only 1 bag- not just for the flight item saving sack but for your comfort- also they can charge you for the weight not just the size. and if you buy special things for that packing - are you really saving? packing minimally is a form of art you need to be in a more frugal state of mind for also versatile. i use shampoo or soap or usually hostel provided also just dish soap and hand wash, a simple string for laundry maybe with light metal clips i pack which i use for other things, i bring very few easy to maintain wash and dry clothing and wash stuf with me in the shower every day or 2 even its simplifying everything. and a thin version of every item as possible and what i dont have to i dont bring- like an eyeliner can be enough for make up for example... but i dont film, and its not for everyone and some people dont mind carrying a 35L and its pretty sh**i that they are started charging for that while providing the same flight at the same price...anyway highly recommend to learn this form of art.
How do you carry the stuff that you buy at the airport that you can't fit in your backpack? Not just in the airport/onto the airplane, but on your trip in general?
Whenever I travel personal item only, I stuff my pockets with the miscellaneous stuff that doesn't fit in the main bag. Basically, all my toiletries go in my jacket pocket, the electronics in my trousers...
I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the kislux leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.
I just bought a 28 L because the 35 L is a great big but I don’t need it right now is to be the 28l is ideal for me I believe it’s the 2022 model I don’t care
Its 1:50 am wear I am. I'm drinking my emtional support cocoa- after having spent almost 2 hours STRUGGLING to get my items to fit in this bag. Whilst packing I kept thinking back on this video and saying to myself "How did she do it?! Sorcery! Whitch craft! Black Magic!" Came back to watch the video again after I finally made all the necessary sacrifices and got my bag to zip up. I do think she is using witch craft. This bag threw a full on tantrum when I tried to pack up my sneakers, and raincoat. She just gets ir all to fit! Smol difference though: I'm going to Ireland and it gets chilly and damp in the fall, had to pack thicker layers, which is the true source of my grief.
I tried bringing shampoo bars and conditioner bars and it was a complete fail. The conditioner bar did not hold up well at all and got crushed after a couple weeks. I will stick to bottles next time
you could have placed the ag1 packets flat under your clothes, also shoe bag :O I have those sandals in black but never travelled with them because the shape but would be perfect for many occasions.
Really recommend the lush tins if the issue with shampoo/conditioner bars is convenience rather than formula! Can press the shampoo in and scrub it straight from the tin rather than just using a bar if that makes sense? Then shake out excess water, put the lid back on and they don’t leak! Just have to use the lush ones or a softer one you can smush in (I used an ethique one and just cut it to size which worked fine).
7 pairs of pants??? 🤔 If you had not clarified for us Americans I would be still wondering how you're going to fit 7 pairs of pants! 😁 That is cool, i'm still using a 46L Osprey Porter, way too heavy at 32 lbs (15ish kilos)... i'm still trying to cut stuff out, first goal to get it down to 25 lbs, then 20.
I thought the same and I think in most cases you’re fine but I was pulled up once about it at stansted and she was quite sure about them counting as liquids but she also may have just been a bitch 😂
Random question for you! I plan to buy that backpack for an upcoming trip to Tulum. Do you think a snorkel can fit inside? I wanna task my mask and snorkel if I can
Why not put the deodorant in your bum bag? It looked like there was room, and it seems like something that isn't a bad idea to have easily accessible as well? I also highly recommend getting those little hair brushes that fold out and have a brush on one side and a mirror on the other. My hair is about the same length and is also just as straight. These work for me, and they fold up to be really small and save space. You can get them for like $2.
@@BackpackingBananas That's surprising since you don't seem to normally pack a straightener. 😀 My fiance can't use them once his hair reaches a certain length. Meanwhile I have 3 little brush guys floating around the van when we're traveling at all times and one in my purse that I always forget about. Haha!
