Thank you so much! A lot of training got into this race, but it ended up being such a fun day because of it. It was brutal, but my legs held up. I loved it. You should definitely sign up for it. :)
Nice! Yes, not knowing when it would stop was probably the worst part of it. But it's part of the fun I guess. At least I knew the mileage until the next AS. That helped a lot. Thank you for watching!
Great second half of the race Brice. Looks like you caught me somewhere between Clementine and No Hands 3. I had a full hour on you before Mammoth Bar and you still finished 10 mins ahead! Relentless forward progress. Kudos to you! Oh, and great video as well!
Thank you so much Wayne. Yes, my mental game was in point and the calories were super dialed in. I gave it everything I had after Mammoth Bar, and it paid off. I had my doubts for a minute out there, but after Drivers Flat I was pretty much running flat out. I did pass a few people after Clementine on that downhill with the big blue Hoka signs. Or maybe you were at No Hands 3 when I ran by without stopping. Thank you for watching, and maybe I'll see you at the next one. :)
What a fight you, Glenn, Olivia and Michael had on the 100k... You all crew along with insane weather conditions, super exposed trails and HUGE distance between Aid Station. KT and Mel were incredible crew all day and big "BRAVO". Superb video as usual giving a real sense of the ups and downs of Ultra ! Hope you all recovered :) ONE MORE time CONGRATS to you and the whole Van team
Thank you so much! Yes, I find that pacing is the most important thing after controlling fuel in these races. I'm still learning a lot, but I'm getting better at it every time. And yes, Glen sure was popping Motrin like they were Skittles. Not ideal at all, but he made it. :)
You absolutely crushed this race, Brice, way to dip into that mental strength that you mentioned was your key at Drivers Flat after such a tough exposed stretch of climbing. Even during my time through there, I saw similar carnage all over the trail...such a tough part of the course. I appreciate making the video cut and watching this flashbacked so many great memories from that day. They say that one goes through a lifetime of emotions over an ultramarathon, and this was definitely one of those races that did so. Congratulations Brice! 👏👏👏
It was a tough one for sure, but hanging out with fellow Canadians and suffering together made for a really fun day. It was great to meet you out there and congratulations on your finish as well. That race took out a lot of people, but we made it through. :)
Good racing with you out on the course! Saw myself a few times in your videos. Congrats on the great finish.
Nice! Glad you made it on the video! Thank you so much for watching!
This is legendary! Now I would love to go there next year from Canada. This looks so fun! Thanks for the video Brice! Great job!

Already done. I am looking forward to it next month. Should be fun @@briceferrestudio 😀
Nice coverage! I had the advantage of local knowledge and knew what the climb out of mammoth was like.
And grew up in BC mostly Victoria 😄

Mad props, I did the 50K and I felted for all you starting the last big loop as we were finishing!
Thank you so much. Yes, it got hot over there for a bit. :) Fun day overall though.
@@briceferrestudio you can't beat those trails! no way could it have been a true "BAD" day out there
Great video, Brice! Way to control your effort and pacing. Your buddy with the 2400mg of Motrin though, holy crap, that's scary!

Nicely done! What an awesome race, trail run, and adventure! Beautiful race!
Thanks Chad. I'm loving creating these videos. It's actually quite fun to stay busy while racing. It keeps my mind off the hurt. :)
Great work man! Loved it!
Thank you so much!
Such good memories and such good insight on what you all went through on the 100K that day!
Thanks Stephanie! It was such a fun day overall, with a little slice of hell in the middle. I loved it!
