Gary should have a propagation lecture. Cover all of the steps from time of year, selecting cuttings, care and nursing, root development, et cetera.

Figs are low-maintenance and adaptable, thriving in various climates with minimal care. They rapidly mature to produce fruit, often yielding two harvests per year in optimal conditions. Obviously we love growing and sharing my our figs plants 🪴

Cutting off a piece, and putting it in soil; has a low success rate in cooler climate. I am lucky to get 10% from the cuttings I took back when the leaves fell off the tree.😢😢😢😢😢😢

You need a heat mat and put it in a closed box with high humidity.

You're probably right, but down here in south Florida, I wasted a lot of time and effort watching countless TH-cam videos, going through the 12 ballet movements with elaborate setups with poor results. Then, in a previous class, I heard Gary say just stick a cutting into the soil, so I tried it. 100% success. He should probably qualify this technique by specifying appropriate climates.

You videos are informative, but the paper you are writing on can not be seen in the video. You need to have the camera person zoom in, so people watching can see. Also when your talking about details on the plants, the camera person needs to zoom in.

Very curious to know your thoughts on hugelkulture. I agree with you that imitating nature with the compost/duff layer on top of the soil, not mixed into it, but is there any value in hugelkulture practices? Many people seem to swear by it.

Gary only makes videos of what he sells. Same way every video mentions Top Pot.

I wish I knew this about tissue culture figs. I can confirm they take forever to fruit.

I don't think the plants fruit earlier from cuttings of cuttings because of genetics per se. I think it has to do with changes to the hormone system.
