Thanks for this video. You saved me a trip. I was thinking to check out this part of Brooklyn on foot, since I had heard about it from television and movies. However I am satisfied with what you showed.
Bensonhurst has changed DRASTICALLY since I was born & raised here! The Italians are long gone! Chinese everywhere, 86th street is a differant place from what I remember.
Me too grew up, left, came back in 1998 and it started to change, the Chinese, other East Asians, Mexicans and Russians came and made it really interesting! All good neighbourly people who take care of the area and bring all their amazing FOOD!!!
@@stupa_magoo When your from an Italian background & grew up in that area, Saturday Night Fever was even filmed there. Then it all changed, all the stores wen't out of business & it turned into a foreign country. People come here from other countries with no intentions of learning to speak English & just doing whatever they like!!!
@@gabriellagiavanni7062 my parents and grandparents came over on the boat thru Ellis Island. My grandparents never spoke more than a few words of English. They were the foreigners then and the interlopers who wouldn’t speak the language. But because you come from those foreigners you think that’s good but other humans coming from other places is bad. Whatever dude, that’s what America is all about, constant change, open arms and a beautiful melting pot. If you don’t like it there are plenty of places where people are all similar, like China and Russia.
Thanks Manny. That's awesome.

A piece of Italy that I recall back in the 90s when visiting that I do not recognize any longer today.

Hi Manny, sorry I missed you.I'm in Bayridge by Verazzano Bridge. Safe travels 🙏🏼
Bensonhurst is the birth place of Moe, Shemp, and Curly from the Three Stooges.
Bensonhurst, my area!! Please show Dyker Heights and Gravesend. Spot on the comparison between Bensonhurst, Ridgewood and Astoria.

86th st, bath ave, Bay parkway, 20th ave, ave u were very dangerous places if you were not from around there before early 1990s. Wiseguy strongholds

As someone who live here, I assure you the pizza is mediocre. Don't believe the hype, that includes L&B Spumoni Gardens
